[The Adamantium Affair ] – Logan Arrives At The School

[ Aiden's Note : Bonus Chapter Of The Week!!! ]

Westchester County, New York

* WHOOSH *

The X-Jet slowly landed on the ground and it slowly opened, revealing Logan, Hank, Havok, and Angel who were pushing the bed onto which Kayla lay on.

Logan clasped his hand with hers and asked with a concerned expression on his face, "Are you okay? Do you feel any pain? Are the wounds openin' up? Do you need me to do anything? Do y-"

Kayla smiled and put her finger on his lips and said, "Slow down, babe. I'm okay. You've brought me here. They would help me recover."

Logan looked at Angel, standing beside Kayla who nodded and said, "Leave everything to us, Mr. Logan. We would make sure that Ms. Kayla gets treated well."

He sighed and let go of her hand and watched as she was taken into the school by Hank, Havok, and Angel.

He looked around and noticed several students playing outside.

Some students sat on the grass with their books with their friends, forming a circle while others played with a frisbee, football, and any other fun activity.

While he was looking around, suddenly, he heard a voice in his head say, <Lovely, isn't it?>

<Who?>, Logan immediately began looking around.

<Up here!>, The voice in his head said and he glanced up at the building and saw Charles waving at him.

Seeing him gesturing to Logan to come to his office, Logan relaxed and walked inside the building.

In one of the classrooms,

Val clad in a fancy suit and a pair of glasses on his face was busy teaching the young mutants.

"My dear younglings, He said causing many of the kids to giggle and laugh at his antics and continued, "Today, we would be focusing on the topic ..."

Val pointed at a kid in the back and ordered, "Que the drum roll, Steven!"

Steven happily began and Val slowly revealed, "Self-discovery!"

"What?"

"Ooooh!"

Seeing them sigh in disappointment, Val said, "Hey! What're you disappointed about? Self-discovery is the key. The key to finding out more about your powers."

He noticed them get a bit interested and continued, "It's the key to finding and understanding the nature of your ability. Your gift. You can find out your strengths, your weaknesses, and... their applications. Most of you consider flashy powers as cool. But..."

* WHOOSH *

He appeared at the back of the class suddenly and continued, "Can flashy powers do this?"

The students turned back and were surprised to see him suddenly disappear from in front of them and appear at the back of the class.

* WHOOSH *

He appeared back in front of them, causing them to turn around and exclaim, "Woooah! That's so cool!"

Val smiled and snapped his fingers and said, "Would I be able to do this if I had flashy powers?"

The students held onto their chairs as every single one of them began slowly levitating in the air.

Val snapped his fingers again and the students fell back on the ground.

He glanced at everybody's surprised expression and asked, "Which one do you think is cooler? My subtle power or a flashy one?"

They looked at him and shouted excitedly, "Yours!"

Val smiled and continued teaching.

After an hour of teaching the kids, Val said, "And, with that, our class for today ends."

He glanced at them and asked, "Does anybody have questions?"

Seeing one raise his hand, he asked, "Yes, Tom?"

Tom stood up and asked, "How did you come up with the name 'Starlance', Professor Haller?"

Val smiled at him and answered, "I didn't plan the name. It popped up in my mind and I thought it was cool, and stuck with it."

One girl raised her hand, causing Val to say, "What's your question, Amanda?"

Amanda slyly smiled and asked, "Do you have a girlfriend, Professor Haller?"

The girls in the classroom immediately perked up their ears and looked at Val intently while the boys groaned in displeasure.

Val sighed and replied, "No, I'm single."

The girls instantly squealed in delight and Amanda shouted, "T-Then, I'll be your first."

However, the girls began shouting at her, causing her to shout back, "Get in line, bitches! I asked first."

Val looked at the rowdy girls fighting with each other and sighed.

He said, "Listen to me, everyone!"

Seeing them quiet down, he rolled his eyes and said, "The act does say that anyone can have multiple partners but it doesn't say that those partners can be minors."

"What? No!", The girls shouted, causing Val to shake his head in resignation.

He glanced out of the classroom and saw a person being hurried to the medical room by Hank and the others.

He stared at the person on the bed and his eyes widened as he thought, 'Kayla Silverfox?'
