Chapter 7 – Press Conference

Today is the day for the press conference for the release of his new product that will be going for sale from the next week.

Andrew reached his home yesterday at 11 PM and directly went to bed after letting Gerald know to wake him up at 7.

"Master Andrew, it's 7, we have the conference in 3 hours please get yourself ready." Said Gerald as he entered Andrew's room.

Andrew who heard him opened his eyes and greeted him, "Morning, Gerald."

"Morning to you as well, I will get the breakfast ready in an hour, please complete your daily exercise and come," Gerald said and left the room.

Andrew went to the restroom freshened up, he wore a normal tracksuit and pants and headed to his base and sat at the same position as yesterday, and entered his Time Chamber to do his daily quest.

An hour and a half later he opened his and went to the kitchen, there was breakfast on the table but no Gerald.

"Zestia, where's Gerald?" asked Andrew, "Sir, Gerald is looking into the book that you brought, we are not able to crack the code that has been in it, do you want me to call him?" replied Zestia, "No, it's fine, do remind him if he forgets the time," said Andrew to which Zestia replied, "Will do, Sir."

A Few Hours Later

Andrew and Gerald were on their way to the Press Conference which will be happening at his company.

"The Development Team has reached?" questioned Andrew.

"Yes, Master Andrew," replied Gerald.

If you are wondering about the Development Team, Andrew decided that way as he did not want anyone to know that he created it. This was something he decided the day he started to work on the phone. For the Press Conference, Andrew will only be giving an introduction about the product and a small demo on how to use it, and if any questions he will answer not all of them only a few and let the Development Team take over. They have also worked on the product though not involved in it a lot in the end Andrew let the Development Team also look through the product, the codes, structure and made them all sign an NDA for this. The moment they saw the contents in it they knew what will happen.

The building was in his sight, once they reached Andrew got down and Gerald after parking the car, both of them headed to the meeting room.

As Andrew entered the meeting room, everyone inside it became silent.

"As you know we will be having a Press Conference today for the release of our Product, I hope you all have gone through the document, I will be giving the introduction and a small demo, and you will be taking over to explain some of the features and technical parts if required, but mostly keep it with features," said Andrew.

For the next few minutes, they had a small meeting talking about the product and what and all do to be said. They confirmed it with Andrew before they all proceeded to the main hall where the conference will be held.

As Andrew entered the Main Hall, Camera click sounds were going a lot, he looked at them and proceeded to head to the stage.

"Welcome all, I hope your stomach is full with the breakfast we have provided," smiled Andrew as he said this. He got smiles and laughter from the people here.

"So, I am not going to take much of your time, I am not, but my Team will, I hope you will be patient while we show you all our product and then we can have the QA Session, deal?" said Andrew

For which he got nods from most of them.

The screen behind Andrew was big, similar to a theatre screen, a picture came into it.

"As you can see behind me this is how the phone will be," as Andrew said that he put his hands in the pocket and took out a phone that was similar to the screen.

"If you are wondering, it does have colors and all, you do not need to worry about that," as he said that the color of the phone, he had in his hands, changed to dark-sky blue.

This brought in some gasps from the reporters.

"This is one of the features of this phone, though images can't be added, which will be done in future releases. Now to the main part," as he said that, the screen behind him became black and Andrew pointed his phone and did a swipe action toward the screen, the phone display was shown in the screen after he did that.

"You will be able to do this not only on this screen, your TV, and many others which will be explained later by the development team. The first time you buy this phone it will ask to take a scan when you switch it on, this can be considered as one of the lock screen security, but the reason for this scan is because of a never before seen feature, where no one else will be able to view the display on your phone. Even if you have your phone unlocked, no one else will be able to see it, only the ones who have been scanned by your phone can see the display. So, when you buy the phone make sure it is you who is being scanned first not your girlfriend, wife, or someone else. You don't want your money to go in the drain now do you? But yeah, you can add others to see your phone as well once the setup is complete, you can go to the Settings, Security, View, and create a new authority. This will help you in adding others to be able to view the contents in your phone, if not they will only see a black screen."

As Andrew was explaining, he was also showing a small demo as well without stopping.

"This is one of the security features, the next one which I love is the pre-installed apps, Oracle Video, Oracle Media, Oracle Photos, Oracle Downloads, Oracle Create, Oracle Maps, Oracle SM (Social media), Oracle Browser, and more. This all will be on the starting screen, under the folder named Oracle and it will then show you all the applications that I stated."

Andrew then proceeded to explain some more features, even an AI that will help you in anything related to the phone, it will also help in creating alarms, schedules if required, exercise plans, and many more.

"Now I will let the Development Team take over and explain everything in detail, once that is over we shall take a 1-hour break and have lunch, so you can come and kill us all with your questions with full energy," laughed Andrew as he let the Development Team take over. The way Andrew talked about the Product and brought in some small jokes that put out a smile on their faces and Andrew knew how much of a frenzy his phone will create, the features that he explained itself were making the reporters so agitated that they could not hold themselves and got up to ask some questions, which Andrew did answer but made sure to keep it in the minimum and asked them to keep their questions and ask it later.

The Development Team then took over and for the next hour and a half, they were talking and answering some questions.

Once it was over, Andrew once again got on the stage and said the break will start now and they have lunch ready in the cafeteria and can get back here.

The QA session proceeded with no problems, all their questions were answered and their curiosity about the phone being filled, they were all very excited to use the phones once it's released in the market. When one of the reporters asked about the cost, they were shocked to hear that this will be sold for 299 dollars. (Author Here: Do you want me to reduce it or increase it?)

They felt it was very little as the feature this phone provided was something that has never been seen before, something no other company could have even done.

Andrew did let them know that dinner is available and a few of our team members will also be there and they can ask them questions that they still have.

"That went well, Master Andrew, The news and newspaper will only be talking about this," said Gerald as he was driving back.

"Gerald, it's been a long time since we had dinner outside, go to McDonald's I want to have an American Cheeseburger," said Andrew.

"Ah, I do have dinner outside, it's you who decided to make your food even for dinner," laughed Gerald as he said that.

"Don't remind me of that," said Andrew as he remembered how he berated Gerald about outside food when he was 7 a year before his parent's accident.

Flashback

"Master Andrew, there will not be any poison in the food," said Gerald as he was having a smile on his face.

"You… You don't know, they will add a lot of chemicals that will not be good for your body, and who knows our enemies will always be watching and will use this chance to kill us," with a serious face Andrew said.

"Enemies, who?" Gerald could not help but laugh when he said that.

"You… you… you" he was pointing at Gerald and his face was full of anger.

Another laugh came from behind him, a woman.

"Gerald, stop teasing him like that," said the woman.

"I can't help it, mam," replied Gerald still smiling.

"He is so cute when he is angry as well," as she said that she picked Andrew and kissed him on his cheek.

"See, he is our guardian, who will always protect us, won't you Andrew?" asked the woman as she was holding him and seeing him with eyes full of love.

"I will," said Andrew as he gave a cute salute to his mother for which she kissed him again.

"Mom, stop," complained Andrew.

"How can I? You are so cute when you do that," she said as she placed her forehead on his small forehead.

"I love you, Andrew," she said with love.

"I love you too, mom, hehehehehe," he replied laughing.

Flashback End.

"Master Andrew, we are here," said Gerald.

Andrew was brought out of his memories when he heard that.

"Andrew, are you all right?" there was concern in Gerald's voice.

"What happened?" asked Andrew.

Gerald just pointed to his face.

Andrew brought his hands to his face and only then did he notice that tears were coming out of his eyes.

"I am fine," with a nostalgic expression replied Andrew as he wiped his tears with a cloth that was in the car.

Gerald who saw that could easily know that Andrew just remembered his parents, that brought a sad expression to his face as well.

"I should not have said that, I did not think," said Gerald.

"No, Gerald, you made me remember something, thank you," said Andrew.

"Let's go," said Andrew as he and Gerald got out of the car and headed inside to McDonald's for their dinner.
