Chapter 6 – A Normal Day, Mike

There was a huge bed in the room with a male figure sleeping on it.

He started to slowly open his eyes as the sun rays graced his room.

His red eyes then turned to look at the clock to see the time was 10:15 AM.

"Ahhhh, so long since I had a good rest like this," said Andrew.

Andrew then got up from his bed and headed down, as he got down, he could see the TV was on and talking about the incident that took place yesterday. This incident was what Andrew had done yesterday.

"Ahh, Master Andrew, Good Morning," said Gerald as he saw Andrew come down.

"Morning, Gerald, Zestia Mute off," greeted Andrew and gave a command to Zestia.

"The Authorities have still not given us any information on what has occurred here, you can see the people who are being taken are the ones reported to be missing, but now you can see that they were kidnapped, all of them seem to be deprived of blood as they are all pale," said a Reporter as she was pointing to the hostages that were being taken in Ambulance.

"I checked every one of their conditions by hacking into the hospital they were taken to with the help of Zestia, they are deprived of blood and I don't know how they even survived in that darkness with no water or food, I don't know how they are still alive," said Gerald.

Andrew heard what Gerald said and he was also having the same question, how were they alive, he still remembered how they looked when he saw them in their cages.

"Any questionable reactions from them?" Andrew questioned Gerald, "No, they have not yet woken up, through the medical reports I saw the condition they were in as I stated before," answered Gerald.

"I will be down, let me know of any updates," said Andrew.

"Oh, did you get a chance to look in the book that I brought?" I asked Gerald. "Haven't gone through that yet, Master Andrew," replied Gerald.

"If you get time go through it or let Zestia take care of it, will see you in an hour," Andrew waved his hands as he headed down to his base to do his usual training to complete the Daily Quest.

Andrew soon reached his base, the lights got turned on as he was walking, the base had a similar setup to that of Green Arrow's Base for now and it also had other stuff as well, an area for his weapons, his suits, his gadgets, his still creating car which might be of use to him in the future, some projects that he had come up with, in the center were screens that are going through the cameras in the city, some even eavesdropping on some high authority people, some gangs, small-time villains and the Hand as well there were more. He moved to another area where there was a space and a small mat located. He sits in a meditating position and enters his time chamber to do his training. All the gym equipment, even a suit was there inside it.

Only Andrew and Gerald can enter the base. While he was coming down the scanners attached to the walls were scanning him, his walk, his breathing, his posture, and once it confirms it will open up the door for his base. If it is not him well his base will go up in a puff of smoke.

There is another entrance to the base as well that can only be used for emergency purposes. It requires a key that both have hidden and to only use if it is necessary.

In the time chamber, Andrew has begun his exercise to complete his daily quest. In 2 hours, he completes it and proceeds to do some heavy lifting as well. He found that doing half of the same training with heavy equipment gives him 0.03% more experience a week back.

After doing this he comes out of the time chamber.

He went and sat in the chair and started to look at each of the screens.

"Sir, a call from one of your friends," said Zestia, "Answer," I said.

"Andrew, how's morning doing for you," came a voice from the speakers.

"Well, it's going good till your call came through, what's up, Mike?" sarcastically said Andrew.

"Man, that hurts, do you really feel that way, so the matter, a party with our friends and collegemates today at 19:00, up for it?" asked Mike, "Well, yea I also need a break from company and college, I will be there," said Andrew, "Finally you are coming, casuals bro, I have others to call and make their mornings not feel good, HAHAHA" laughed Mike as he said that, "Bye," and Andrew cut the call.

Mike was one of Andrew's good friends, he was not rich or anything, but he is a genius in terms of Management and Computer Tech and Andrew was planning to recruit him to work for him as a secretary but he has not yet decided due to his carefree character which is not wrong but it will do affect when he works as a secretary for him.

"Zestia remind me half hour before," Andrew said that and got up as he started to head back to his room to clean himself up.

Time-skip to 18:30

Andrew got wore a normal black shirt and pants and headed to his garage to get a car.

"Gerald, I am leaving, let me know any updates or if you want something," said Andrew

"Will do, Master Andrew," replied Gerald

Andrew went down to Basement 1, took the same car he and Gerald usually take to drive to the company, and drove off to the party place.

He reached the destination in 20 minutes and was welcomed by the one who invited him at the building's gate.

"Finally, you are here, come out, the valet will take care of your car," said Mike as he was smiling seeing Andrew arriving.

Andrew got out of his car and gave the key to the valet, the valet soon handed him a note with his car details and told him to give this at the counter when he is leaving. Andrew gave him a tip of 100 dollars for which the valet was happy that he felt he could go to the heavens and thanked him.

Mike who was seeing this was smiling and then dragged Andrew inside.

"You never stop doing that do you?" asked Mike.

"It is better to give than to always hold it, it is good to have money and all, and I for once know how much it is required and valued but that does not mean I will save it and not give to others, while I do this, I just hope someone will do this for me one day when I am in the worst situation," said Andrew.

"As if you will be one and if you are, know that the Great Mike here will save you," Mike said as he pumped his chest up.

"Stop acting like a kid, let's go," said Andrew.

They both then went to the elevator and Mike pressed the 12th-floor button.

Mike POV

When I first met Andrew in the college, all I saw was a guy who was having all the attention just because of his name and company. I was jealous like all the others but I did not let that get into my head. The same day I researched about him and saw what his life was. He had everything and nothing at the same time, everything here meaning all the money, fame, recognition, and position that he had in this world. His word can change many things but the reason I said he had nothing was that he lost his parents when he was just a child, I just keep wondering what if it was me in that position, what would I have done? The answer I came up with was that I would have broken down and lost myself but Andrew, he did not, he got himself back with his sheer will and determination. He was someone who grew up with no parental love after the age of 8 and he had to be wary of everyone who approaches him as he knew what his name entails. There was not a lot of information about him and I decided to approach him the next day, it changed my life, even though I have only known him for a few months, he changed many things.

In the beginning, he was wary of me and I could understand that. I mean he is Andrew the owner of Andrew enterprises to put it simply he was the king of an empire. He will be wary of me and once he came to know about me, he became my first friend in college. We spent a lot of time together. We got together on weekends, went to different places, he showed me things that I never could have seen. He took me to his company one day and God I must say, I have no idea how he can shuffle between his company and college. He had to decide on many things and in this, he also has time to develop one of the best fucking mobile phones I have ever seen. He showed me how it works and damn it was awesome. The way the phone can also be displayed on glasses, I have never seen something like that, I was fascinated and asked him to teach me. He took the time and explained how it works. I also tried taking him to parties that the class or college sometimes organizes but he mostly says no saying he has other stuff to do but today he decided to come and now here I am going with him to the booked floor for our party together in the elevator.

"Bro, you are going to stay till the party ends right?" I asked him.

"I don't know," replied Andrew.

"Come on it is Sunday tomorrow," I said.

"You do know I have a press conference tomorrow, we will be releasing the new phone that we have developed, I need to be ready for that, I don't want to attend it with a hangover," said Andrew.

"I completely forgot about that," I said as I sighed.

"What are you sighing about it should be me doing that," chuckled Andrew as he said that.

"You know you have helped me in developing my skills in management and Computer Science, though I am not great at Computer Science to your level, I am good at managing, how about I work as an intern secretary for you?" I asked which kind of startled Andrew.

"We are doing our bachelor's degree in Computer Science and you want an intern job as a secretary?" asked Andrew.

"I don't know, I mean I never thought I would be so good at managing stuff, and after you gave me some tips and tricks I came up with a whole new level of skills in it, I should have also taken the Business Management course," I said.

"With our level of skills, we can easily get our Bachelor's degree and go for Masters and complete that two in 2 or 3 years, how about we finish the Bachelor's Degree now and do masters, bro?" with a laugh I asked him.

Oh, I forgot to say, this is not a college where anyone can join, only the brightest of all will get the chance here and I got to this college through scholarship. I am from a middle-class family, my family can handle the fees due to the scholarship reducing it by 75% and I work part-time to manage my expenses and yes Andrew helps me time-to-time.

"I was planning to do that, are you sure you are ready?" asked Andrew.

"I am, even Claire and Ray were planning to do that and we all were planning to ask you about this as well," I said and then the elevator door opened and what greeted us was the changing color lights, dancing, singing to put it easily, this is a college party and I will let it to your imagination.
