Chapter 148 : Dealing with Barbosa (1)

"Me?"

"I'm a just a normal pirate, now I have come here to make you all retreat," said Alex addressing the crew of Black Pearl.

Upon hearing that, the deck became silent as the crew of Black Pearl stared in disbelief.

The pirates stared at Alex with strange eyes, unsure of what to make of his bold proclamation. It was the first time they had seen someone like Alex, a mere human, stand up to them and challenge them in such a way. They had never encountered such a daring and fearless individual before.

"Can't you see you are outnumbered?"

"Where did you get your confidence from?"

"I'm enough to deal with all of you," Alex said with a smile.

The crew became angry with Alex's words, feeling like he was being too arrogant and self-assured.

"Hahaha it is my first time seeing someone like you "

"Who is not fazed when facing an entire crew?" said Barbosa while laughing

"What is there to fear when you are facing someone weaker than you?" asked Alex as he looked at the crew and Barbosa.

"What?" roared Barbosa with anger as he felt insulted by Alex

A thick layer of clouds covered the sky. Slowly the clouds began to move, revealing the moon.

Moonlight shone brightly over the deck, illuminating the area with a silvery sheen. Its light was so intense that the shadows of people and objects on the deck became sharper and more pronounced.

Barbosa and his crew were shrouded in the mysteriousness of moonlight, their faces and objects on the deck awash in its ethereal glow. The atmosphere was serene, yet a bit eerie, as moonlight cast its chilling spell over the deck.

Their true forms were revealed and turned into skeletal silhouettes as moonlight illuminated their presence, giving them a ghostly aura.

"Ewh, as expected your appearance is not very appealing," said Alex with a disgusted expression as he didn't like seeing the ghostly appearance of the crew.

He noticed Alex had no fear on his face as he saw their appearance. Instead of fear, he showed disgust. "Are you not afraid?" Barbosa asked him.

"What is there to be afraid of? I've seen many things more ugly than this " said Alex as he remembered zombies in the resident evil world.

"I admire you even for not showing fear in front of us, but you should have not insulted us "

"Attack him and kill him," Barbosa said in a harsh cruel voice

The pirates ran towards Alex to attack him with swords, their eyes full of rage and malice. One of them raised his sword to strike Alex, but Alex stood his ground and refused to back down.

"You seem too confident in your curse that you can't die," said Alex with a smirk and a cold gaze.

Alex then created a black sword using death divinity.

As Alex swung his sword, he beheaded the pirate. The pirate's headless body dropped to the ground. As the body dropped, it started to disintegrate into dust, which was scattered by the wind across the sea.

Seeing this the pirates stopped in their tracks as they didn't believe what they saw.

"Hey, did you see that?"

"Yes, he was killed."

"Not only was he killed but he also turned into dust."

"What is that sword it is giving me chills?"

The pirates began to discuss as they saw how Alex killed their partner, which was supposed to be impossible as they were cursed and killing them was not possible by normal means.

Barbosa was in shock, his eyes wide and his face pale. He couldn't believe what he was seeing, that someone had managed to kill one of his cursed crew members. He was speechless and completely taken aback by the situation.

He thought the person in front of him was bluffing, but he didn't think that he can kill those who were cursed.

"You, how did you do it?" asked Barbosa walking towards Alex

"Want to know?"

"Will you tell me if I ask?" asked Barbosa as he saw Alex's expression.

"No"

"May I know what you want?"

"I want you all to leave Port Royal immediately," said Alex as his current goal was to make them leave port royal.

"What if we don't?" asked Barbosa. They came here as they sensed the last coin they needed to lift the curse.

Even though he felt danger from the man in front of him, he couldn't leave until he got the coin and person needed for the curse to be lifted.

"Do you want to try and see if I can kill all of you?"

"But don't worry even if I kill all of you, I will not kill you, Barbosa"

"As someone wanted to kill you so much that they would be hurt if you were killed by me "

"But the same doesn't apply to your cr_______" before he could finish his words, bullet sounds came from behind him.

"Bang"

Alex felt the impact of the bullets against his back as if he were being hit with a sledgehammer. The bullets ricocheted off his back as if they were pebbles, clanging against its surface with a loud and powerful reverberation.

"Clang"

"Clang"

The bullets fell on the ground as they didn't do any damage to Alex who was 100 times more powerful than a normal human. Even with his strength sealed normal firearms cannot harm him.

Alex had an angry expression on his face as he watched the bullets fall to the ground and become harmless. His eyes glowed with intense rage, and his lips were pursed in a tight line.

The one thing Alex didn't like was when people attacked him, especially while he was talking to them from behind.
