A Love Unfated - Love After Marriage
Parents wishes are something you want to fulfill. But you sometimes you're incapable to do it, sometimes you do have your own wishes which go against them, and sometimes you just don't want to. Love for parents or Love for yourself - What should one choose? Niharika in her first life, supported her parents' wishes to not fall in love. They didn't wish her to not fall in love but not to fall in love with any person of other caste. But she couldn't love anybody, not even her husband. She married according to their wishes but her life ended monotonously with death of her husband. She also had an unsuccessful marriage which lasted until her last breath, unsuccessful for the man. She never needed a marriage, let alone a successful one. She regretted not acting like a loving wife for him afterall she only acted all her life for everybody. Her husband had to live his life in pain and agony. Once capable man died with a lot of grievances and unfulfilled wishes. Niharika blamed herself. Her children suffered all because of her. A life she didn't want to repeat. This time she still listened to her parents and married a guy of their choice but she kept herself and her desire above too. All leading to a facade of marriage. But this time, she still met her unfated partner. She decided to compensate her first life's debt. But her choices led her to the love of her life. Her heart rang like a bell the moment she saw him. It was like all roads of her life ended at him. But the man was a taboo for her parents. He was a taboo for her because of her principles. Will she still be able to live her life fully or would her life come to an end just like her last life? Will she have to go through her uncoloured life again and is this still her last life? Will she meet her fated and fall in love? Or will she never be able to understand love? Will she rebel and go against her parents or will she remain obedient as always? Making fool of herself
As they reached at the venue, all three got out, while Suyash gave keys to the valet. Niharika had a slight smile on her face which she kept usually serious. This made Krisha doubt Niharika. Afterall Arihant was truly very handsome. If Krisha too had an option, she would definitely go for Arihant. There can never be any doubt. Even after she married Suyash, her infatuation for Arihant never left. But she knew her limits well, moreover Arihant kept women atleast 2 meters away from him usually. The only women he had in his life was his mother and some relatives. He even kept distance from his cousins. Afterall his face can make women infatuated, no matter what status she has.
So Krisha thought that if Niharika has any strange thoughts for him, she would just be throwing arrows in dark. Arihant would definitely not respond to her. People were even in doubt about his sexual orientation, and some of the gays had proposed him but he only said that they were not his type, not that he wasn't homosexual which further confirmed their doubts. It also made her a little happy that he doesn't have any partner. This gave women of his close friends an access to him. Ofcourse, it was just Krisha who liked him. His other friends Sridhar and Meet's wives kept their distance from him while being close with him. This was also the reason Arihant almost never talked with Krisha. He had an inkling about her secret feelings. For his friend though he never outrightly ignored but everybody in their circle knew that he avoided Krisha for some reason. It also made Suyash a little distant from him.
As soon as they entered, everybody had their eyes turned to them, no towards Niharika. It was evident that Niharika never dressed up for any party with them but today not only was she dressed up but she also had a light makeup on her face. In all parties till now, Niharika had come barefaced. One needs to just see that she always came in formal clothes rather than dresses for parties and barefaced. It was visible in a glance that she hadn't put any effort for the party. But that was not the case today. This also brought the matter to attention to Suyash and Krisha. Since she directly sat in backseat, her clothes were not visible to Krisha and Suyash had attention on road, so he hadn't looked at her. After they got out, Niharika as usual followed behind them so they didn't notice her looks or dress.
If gift made Krisha doubt her then her looks and dress confirmed it. Niharika definitely has intentions towards Arihant. Ofcourse, Suyash didn't doubt her. Men generally were not able to grasp such small things. Moreover person in question was Niharika. If people asked what he thought Niharika's future would be like then he would definitely reply that she would become part of secular world, and try to attain moksh (divinity). Similarly other men were engrossed in her looks rather than in reason behind it. But women were all intelligent creatures. If Krisha could see the things, then ofcourse others could too. Now all women were thinking that Niharika would make a fool out of herself. Arihant never accepted gifts from women and paid even less attention to their looks. They were gloating at how would Arihant shame her, since she was a total stranger. If he could shame even his acquaintances over these, what to say about strangers. As he was lawyer, his words too stung too much.
