Chapter: 17

Min Jae kept looking at those guys approaching them, a frown on his face. Each one of them was barehanded but looked too determined to beat Min Jae today.

As soon as one of the guys yelled Min Jae's name Ye Jun commented,

"Yah! Are you some thug or are you indebted to them?"

Hearing him, Nari turned her head towards him and glared.

"What?" he exclaimed at her.

She sighed and shook her head.

"No, Yeong Min was on the opposite team in the inter-school match that day."

"Then, what should we do? Should we run?" Nari questioned.

"But, Ms Nari, you can beat such guys in no time, right?" Ye Jun joked.

Nari exhaled in anger. But before she could say something, Min Jae spoke.

"They are five and we are three."

His eyes stuck on the guys who were crossing the road now.

"So?" Ye Jun was confused.

"1..." he started counting.

"We have to run?" Nari asked.

"2..." He added.

"Yeah, our Mr Min Jae can't handle the problem he called." Ye Jun commented, earning another glare.

"3..."

Giving no time, Min Jae ordered.

"Run!"

They started to run and so did the guys approaching them.

"Get him now!" Yeong Min, the guy with messy shaggy bangs, yelled in the middle of the road crossing.

The three were running together when Ye Jun suggested,

"They are after you, it's better if you part with us."

"Yah!" Nari panted.

"Are you crazy?"

"No, what I meant was. You should part away and hide. Everything else can be handled." Ye Jun suggested.

Min Jae nodded. "Okay then, you both go straight. I'll take the left."

"But-"

"Stop fangirling and run!" he murmured to her, and she glared.

Hopefully, Min Jae didn't listen, and he soon turned to the left alley. Nari and Ye Jun kept running straight. The guys could be heard some steps behind them. They still didn't know Min Jae had parted. The guys came running and found a dead end. Neither they found Min Jae nor Nari and Ye Jun. There was just a wall and a huge pile of bricks kept.

"WHERE DID HE GO!" Yeong Min, whose hand took the support of the bricks, yelled at the top of his lungs.

"Here!"

Ye Jun spoke and a punch hit Yeong Min's face from behind the bricks. He stumbled back, holding his nose. Ye Jun came in front of him.

Yeong Min glared at him. His other guys came in front and stood along with Yeong Min. Yeong Min looked at his palm and was shocked to see that only one punch made his nose bleed.

"Yah! What are you doing, look here!" Ye Jun frowned.

And as Yeong Min looked in front, he was punched by Ye Jun again.

"Ah!" Ye Jun rubbed his knuckles, feeling slight pain.

"Yeah! Our country's football players!" Ye Jun complimented as his knuckle hurt a little after hitting the hard skin of Yeong Min.

"Yah! You'll be dead soon!" Yeong Min threatened as the fire of rage increased inside him.

"Aigoo! It's been a long time since I last fought. Most probably three months I guess." he mumbled and cracked his knuckles.

Yeong Min approached him, Ye Jun caught his fist and twisted it as hard as he could. Yeong Min wailed loudly and his other minion started approaching Ye Jun.

Ye Jun pulled the guy in his grip towards himself and kicked him forcefully on his rib cage. He fell and coughed hard. Blowing his hair from his forehead Ye Jun grinned at the other two boys approaching him.

One of them was Beom Chul, The great runner in the team. He ran swiftly towards Ye Jun but before he could even touch Ye Jun, he kicked one of the bricks from the pile and it hit Beom Chul's leg hard.

He squatted then and there, trying his best to endure the pain.

Ye Jun laughed at him and forgot that the other one was also approaching. The last guy came jumping over Beom Chul and punched Ye Jun hard. Ye Jun's back hit the wall behind him and his lip bled a little.

"Ah! Why?!" Ye Jun yelled.

"Don't you have manners? I was-"

He punched him again.

Nari, who was told to wait outside the alley, was growing impatient; she wanted to help Ye Jun out too. But Ye Jun had asked her to come only if it was necessary. He knew he could handle a bunch of guys and he didn't want Nari to get hurt anywhere.

"Yah! Why are you like this?" Ye Jun was enraged.

The guy approached him once again and was about to kick but Ye Jun dodged it and his leg hit the wall. Ye Jun then kicked his other leg making him fall. He kicked him on the abdomen. While he was trying to deal with him Yeong Chul stood up. He took the nearby brick in his hand. Nari, who was watching everything, got alarmed. She ran towards him, yelling.

"YAH!!"

Yeong Chul turned around at the sudden yell and his face met the high kick of Nari. Young Chul fell and Ye Jun's attention went to the girl who kicked him. His eyes widened at the sight. Yeong Chul was probably the most muscled one among them all. Nari stood straight and panted heavily. She held Yeong Chul up by his collar and banged his head on the wall.

Ye Jun squinted his eyes and his lips made an o. He was pitying Yeong Chul from inside who was knocked out. Ye Jun couldn't believe his eyes but again he remembered, she is known for fighting around with guys. He was impressed by Nari totally, his insides were excited as he saw her fight, live.

Another guy who was lying down stood up but Nari held the back of his shirt and turned him towards her. He looked startled. Nari glared at him and Ye Jun scoffed. Nari's signature glare could suck the soul out of the person's body.

She punched him and before he fell she held his wrist and twisted it hard. He wailed and a crack sound echoed.

"Nari-ah! Stop..." Ye Jun warned and Nari's eyes went wide as she realised she had just fractured a guy's hand. She dropped his hand and he, who was in midair fell with a great thud. Holding his hand he cried out.

Nari bit her lower lip and frowned. She had done more damage than it was needed. Ye Jun scoffed and Nari glared at him. Enjoying the fight between the two Ye Jun totally forgot about the one lying near him. He kicked on Ye Jun's knee and made him kneel. Ye Jun looked at him and the guy stood up.

"Sorry!" Ye Jun quickly mumbled and taking the support of the wall he kicked him between his legs.

He quickly squatted down, squinting his eyes. Ye Jun inhaled deeply as if he had tasted chilly. He again pitied these guys. He stood up and swept his hands. But looking at Nari who was approaching him now, he got alarmed.

"Woah! What happened? I am not with them."

Nari gave him a bored look and Ye Jun scoffed. As soon as she reached him, she asked,

"These are only three guys, where are the other two?"

And it struck Ye Jun's mind.

"Kim Min Jae!" He said as he looked outside the alley.
