Chapter 1Rage Fuel!!! -Cliché?

Justin Pineda is a 35-years-old Filipino who lives in a small apartment in Tokyo, Japan, and is currently employed as an office worker. He currently lives alone after his parents died in an unfortunate car accident. He was adopted by a Japanese man who was a friend of his parents; he was then raised and left in Tokyo to work.

He has played games all night, which has caused him to wake up late for work.

"Sh*t, the old man will nag at me again for being late to work because I played too many games again!" Justin complained while holding a piece of bread in his right hand while running as fast as he could.

As he rushes to go to his workplace, Justin then stops because the pedestrian light is currently red. As Justin waits for the red light to go green, he begins to wonder and think about how much he is going to be yelled at and nag at by his boss.

"I don't even want to imagine it any more..." as Justin sighs full of worries while munching at his piece of bread.

A young stranger with a phone at hand then stood beside Justin, exhausted.

"Oh no, I'm going to be late on my first day!" The stranger cried full of worry while looking at his phone. Justin then smirked, knowing what the young fellow felt like; it made him look like a proud veteran warrior who has been in the situation a lot of times, even though it's not something you should really be happy about.

As the red light turned orange, the stranger then started walking into the road, stuck looking into his phone, and as Justin was about to begin walking too, he looked to his left and saw a truck that didn't seem to slow down despite the light turning orange already. Justin then took a few steps back, knowing that even a child will know it's reckless to cross the road if something that fast is not slowing down after the light turns orange.

But Justin then remembered that the young stranger started walking with his eyes stuck on the phone. Justin then hurriedly ran as fast as he could, shouting to the young man to move out of the way. He then pushed the young stranger without a hint of hesitation out of the truck's direction.

As the truck hit Justin at an astonishing speed, his blood-covered body was sent flying up in the air, then falling into the ground again. The stranger then hastily ran to Justin, who is currently covered in blood on the ground. Justin's eyes started closing, but before they closed, he started whispering something to the young stranger.

"W-What was that, sir? Sorry, I didn't hear you properly." The young stranger asked with tears and sweat dripping from his face, which was currently covered in blood. Justin then gently grabbed the young fellow's face and calmly replied, "Are you a moron?"

"H-Huh?" the fellow muttered with a dumbfounded face, not being able to understand why he was just called a moron by a dying man covered with blood on the ground.

"ARE YOU DUMB!? SHOUDN'T YOU AT LEAST LOOK LEFT AND RIGHT BEFORE CROSSING THE ROAD YOU FOOL!" Justin yelled while coughing up blood profusely.

"I'm really sorry, sir; please forgive me!" The young man stuttered full of realization and worry while bowing his head down to the ground. Justin then slowly looked up at the sky and wondered what's going to happen to him now that he is nearing his end.

"What's going to happen now... I still have a lot of things I want to do and have a lot to care for..." but Justin then remembered the reality in which he is practically single and lonely: "Well, that's that. It's regrettable that I am still a virgin, but it's not like I have a choice to decide on; I can't believe my life is going to be gone because of a truck."

Justin mumbled with a face of relief and acceptance while having a bitter smile, knowing that certain death was inevitable. As he slowly closed his eyes and lost his remaining strength, it seemed like he had fully accepted the situation.

But then time suddenly stopped and a floating transparent screen appeared out of nowhere:

<You 1 have notification in your mail.>

"Wh-what? am I hallucinating!?" Justin thought that he was now seeing hallucinations because of blood loss.

"But wait, me dying, me being hit with a truck, then a system screen appearing in front of me—isn't that a cliché?! Well, I don't care, let's just see whatever it is."

Justin then checks the mail option on the side of his right eye. "How the heck should I open it?! Should I just focus my eyesight?" Justin then stares at the mail, irritated.

As he stares at the mail option, it opens, and a screen appears.

<Your life is about to end because of huge blood loss and a drop in HP, but mysterious being willing offer you chance live once again return for your cooperation.> Justin is then startled and continues reading.

<I will be transferring your soul to another world in which you might find difficulty living, so I giving access a system and booster pack that can help journey next life. The contents of life are random since forcing into with principle, reincarnated as monster, woman, or even demon, the also random, meaning it easygoing something worse than hell itself. All this for condition doing me return, accepting offer? <(yes no)>

As Justin starts to contemplate if he will be accepting such a suspicious offer, a blurry figure in black showed beside him.

"Wh-who the F*ck are you!" Justin wanted to shout out loud, but wasn't able to because time is currently stopped. The figure was a tall man wearing a black cloth covering his entire body and has a huge scythe at its right hand, it emits a cold and unnerving aura in which gives Justin the chills, Justin then immediately thought of one thing of who this black tall figure could be "DEATH".

A system panel once again appeared, <Time is ticking boy, well at least not in the physical world, but you better think fast or else this guy might take afterlife.>

As Justin see this tall black figure with its huge stick of death starting to move, without hesitation Justin then immediately selected yes. "Ugh! I don't care anymore, just get me the F*ck away from here!" Justin panicking upon seeing Death itself.

<Are you sure? the system asking for confirmation.>

The tall figure began to reach its hands out to touch Justin.

"Ahhhhhhhhhhhh get away from me!" Justin then selected yes again while tears flows down his eyes, and yet another system panel appeared.

<Are you really sure? If accept, will be responsible for everything that is about to happen later on.>

As the cold hands of death slowly touch him and pulls his soul away from his body, Justin has succeeded in accepting the offer "Yes, Da*m it! I'm dying already..."Justin looking very pale from having his soul slowly taken.

<Justin Pineda has accepted the offer. Processing...>

The system then processed and accepted Justin's answer. Justin then closed his eyes, and as he slowly passed away, a system panel appeared.

GlaringError here! As I have already mentioned in my author review I am restating it here since I am getting tons of comments about it, that I am more of a reader myself than a writer, I made this novel in an attempt to capture my fantasy world residing in my mind into words.. Writing is new for me.. The premise of my novel is inspired by many great works that I have loved over the years. And some elements I have in my novel that are slightly similar to them but it's just the skeleton of it, the real meat of the plot is entirely my own cooking. Some of the influence that is more noticeable is from The Runesmith (By Kuropon), The King's Avatar (By Butterfly Blue) and Shadow Slave (By Guiltythree). I have immense respect for these legends and I can only hope to follow in their footsteps. To all those who comment just by judging the name, at least give it a chance before letting your opinions be known. Thank you.
