CH.21 Hades Will Pay

Percy came after a while with Annabeth and Grover who of course were coming along for our little quest, Percy was given a few golden drachmas which were big a girl scout cookie and two bags of ambrosia.

Right now, Percy was just given a pen that transformed into a sword named riptide because of course it is, and then Luke came.

"Hey!" Luke yelled running up to us.

"Glad I caught you," he said.

Annabeth blushed showing just how much she liked this boy. "Just wanted to say good luck, and I thought maybe you could use these," he said and handed Percy some sneakers.

"Maia," he said making white bird wings come out of it,

'Huh, that's pretty interesting, must be something Hermes gives his kids" I thought looking at the shoes.

"Awesome!" Grover yelled.

At this point I started tuning everything out I was getting annoyed, I dint want to be here, but because of a paranoid baby, I have to go on a quest to get his favorite toy, so he doesn't start an all war. Safe to say I was angry.

'As soon as I finish this quest I'm starting my cult and never coming back here again, I hate being used as a pawn' I thought.

I came to when Chiron said my name," now originally argus was supposed to drive you but since young Adrian has a car he will be driving instead" Chiron said finally bringing the attention to me.

"Where we going," I asked.

"we're going to lose Angeles," Annabeth said carefully.

"Great get in, the sooner we finish this the sooner I can leave," I said and turned on the radio.

They said their goodbyes, Percy and Grover went in the back, but Annabeth sat in the front.

As soon as they got inside, I started driving not even waiting for them to put on their seat belts. "Why are you driving so fast!" Annabeth yelled trying to put her seat belt on.

"I'm not, this is the slowest speed," I said, which was true because when you drive and teleport at the same time you can accelerate at an insane speed.

After driving for about ten miles Percy started the conversation "so far so good, ten miles and not a single monster" he said to everybody.

"it's bad luck to talk that way seaweed brain," Annabeth said to Percy with an irritated look.

'Huh, already giving him nicknames, interesting' I thought listening to their conversation.

"Remind me again why do you hate me," Percy said.

"I don't hate you," Annabeth said and folded her Yankees cap.

"Look. we're just not supposed to get along, okay? Our parents are rivals" Annabeth said

As she said that I could have sworn I saw fate being written, I mean rival parents, Romeo and Juliet much I thought, but dint says anything.

"Why," Percy said confused.

"How many reasons do you want? One time my mom caught Poseidon with his girlfriend in Athena's temple-"Annabeth was about to continue but I interrupted her.

"Medusa was raped by Poseidon and your mother cursed her like she cursed Arachne," I said.

"that's a lie!" Annabeth said.

"And the reason my mother cursed Arachne is that she disrespected the Olympians" Annabeth.

"You have too much faith in gods," I said.

"And you have too little" Annabeth.

The conversation went silent after that with Annabeth ignoring me and Percy having a conversation with Grover. Soon enough we reached queens and because of traffic, I decided to park near the greyhound bus station and allow the group to stretch out legs. I went to the bathroom to pee which took a few minutes and when I came out my car was on fire and Percy, Annabeth and Grover were fighting the tree fury sisters, well more like running away and coming towards me.

I'll admit it took me a few seconds to reboot for the sheer fact that I couldn't understand what was going on but as soon as I got an idea I shadow teleported to them and killed a furry by surprise. " I was gone for a few minutes, A FEW MINUTES!" I yelled at the end.

"YOU! EXPLAIN NO!" I yelled at one of the furies who was now cowering at the power that I didn't realize I was released because of my anger.

"We were sent by lord hades to retrieve his helmet from the thieve," the fury said.

"THAT DOESN'T EXPLAIN SHIT," I said and then killed the both of them before they could react.

"GODDAMIT" I yelled and then started punching the concrete watching my car burn, I kept punching the concrete till it broke.

"Sorry about your car man," Percy said arriving next to me.

"what happened," I said trying to reign in my anger.

"well I was waiting by the car when Percy came back with them," Annabeth said appearing from nowhere.

"explain," I said turning to Percy.

"I and Grover went to the vending machine to buy some snacks but there were these three old ladies that kept following us, when I recognized miss Dods I started running making them transform and start attacking us, when we got close to your car one of them threw a fireball at me and I dodged it making it your car and catch on fire, I'm surprised it didn't blow up," Percy said.

"That only happens in movies seaweed brain" Annabeth.

"I'm going to kill hades when I get my hands on him," I said.

"So now what," Percy said.

"Now we get on the bus," Annabeth said which we did.

Percy sat with Grover, and I sat with Annabeth.

"hey are you okay," Annabeth said.

"My car was just destroyed, what do you think," I said leaning my head on the seat of the bus.

"Sorry," she said.

"it's fines, I'm going to get it back, hades will pay me back or else," I said promising to get revenge for my car.
