After Chiron made a whole big deal about Percy being claimed even making the campers bow, after that was over, he sent everybody to sleep and sent Percy to his new cabin. He didn't question me about the hellhound who I sent back to the underworld after finding out he knew nothing about how he got summoned.
I can't talk to hellhounds more like get a sense of understanding from them as my father owns the underworld it comes with the perks of that, of course, most children have these powers, being able to understand a creature or thing born from their parent's divinity.
I went to sleep and woke up early, did my usual exercise and started to notice how the campers were avoiding Percy, Annabeth was still teaching him Greek which I forgot to mention but she seems distracted, I of courses already know Greek and Latin plus a few more dead languages but never kind that.
A camper found me in my car and said that the wine god called for me when I was walking there it started raining, this must have been Zeus being a little bitch as always. When I got there, I could hear Percy being told he was given a quest.
"So, I have to find this stupid and return it to Zeus" Percy angrily.
"So, you've finally caught up," I said arriving at the porch where Percy, Chiron, and the satyr named Grover were, who started backing away from me slowly.
"You knew about this" Percy said to me.
"No, I kind of figured it out, what I haven't figured out is where we start," I said thinking.
"I believe I can help with that" Chiron said with a grim expression.
"Part of the prophecy I had years ago… well some of the lines make sense to me, now. but before I say more you must seek the counsel of the oracle"
"That makes sense," I said.
"How does that make sense, why can't you just tell us where the bolt is," Percy said still pissed off.
"Because if I did, you would be too afraid to accept the challenge," Chiron said seriously.
"Good reason," Percy said after gulping.
"So do you both agree then," Chiron said.
"Yeah, got nothing better to do," I said, and Percy looked at Grover who was nodding, and finally agreed.
"Alright, it's better than being turned into a dolphin," Percy said sounding defeated.
"Then it's time you both consulted the oracle, go up to the attic, when both of you have come back down assuming you're still sane we will talk more," Chiron said.
After walking up four flights of stairs Percy open the latch to the attic and we both were greeted by a mummified remain of a woman, I'm pretty sure that Percy was creeped out, even more so when the green smoke came out of the mummy's mouth.
"I am the spirit of Delphi, speaker of the prophecies Phoebus Apollo, slayer od the mighty python, approach, seeker and ask," the mummy said in a ghostly voice.
Percy looked at me and I just shrugged and pushed him forward "what is my destiny" Percy said making him say it also "and mine".
The mist grew thicker and formed a table of four men playing cards, I saw Percy clench his fist and was looking at the fat one that looked to be a descendant of a cyclops.
The fat one turned and spoke with the same ghostly voice as the oracle "you shall go west and face the god who has turned".
"You shall find what was stolen and see it safely returned," the man on the right said with the same voice.
"You shall be betrayed by one who you call friend," a guy on the left said after throwing two poker chips.
Then the mist changed, and the mummy turned to me, the mist turned into my mother, I looked calm, but I was getting angry and a little sad.
"The child of darkness will start a journey that will shake the heaven and challenge fate," my mother said with her sweet voice.
"And find that he has more family than he knows" the mist turned into hades said and then disappear.
"I am fucking hate prophecies," I said and then started going downstairs.
"Well?" Chiron said seeing us coming down.
"She said I would retrieve what was stolen," Percy said after sitting down.
"that's great," Grover said.
"Alright then Percy I'll be waiting for you outside, come to me when you're ready," I said then left.
I can already guest that they think that my dad was the one that stole the master bolt and tried to make it seem that I'm a spy, I know this because hades have always been portrayed as the bad guy for a lot of things, and truth be told hades hasn't done anything bad.
Well although he did kidnap Persephone he did because she was destined to be his wife, so potato potato, so I have to deal with him not trusting me for this whole journey or quest thing which will be fun. But on the bright side of things as soon as I return the master bolt I can get back to my journey.
Speaking of journey, what the actual fuck did that oracle mean about 'shake the heavens and challenge fate' does that mean that whatever I'm going to do doesn't align with reality. If so, I don't care ill still do it I will save my mother and become a god.
Also, it seems that I have more siblings from my dad's side, somehow, I'm not surprised, it's like the god can't keep it in their pants, I mean come on I know you're immortal, but do you need to have so many children.
"Sigh well let's hope that this quest is easy," I said and brought my car out, turning the ignition it roared, readying itself for the journey.
