Drum Island

The Straw Hat Pirates and their princess and duck friends were on their way to 'Alabasta' as their two giant friends were kind enough to give them the 'Log Pose' they brought when they came so they wouldn't have to wait the year for it to set its magnetism.

They also said that once they were done with their fight, they would use their 'Eternal Pose' to go back home to 'Elbaf', tell everyone there about them, and wait for them to come visit.

Everyone was doing their own thing as Vivi could be seen reading the newspaper about the civil war again.

'This is bad. Four hundred thousand against six hundred thousand. The death toll will be massive as soon as it starts and it's completely useless!!' Vivi thought to herself in anger.

Anger at Crocodile for what he's doing to 'Alabasta' and anger at herself for being unable to do anything.

She was broken from her thoughts when she felt someone put a hand on her shoulder.

Vivi looked behind her to see Nami handing the 'Log Pose' to her with a red, sweaty face and unfocused eyes.

"Sorry, Vivi, but I need you to take over for me for a minute, I feel really tired." Vivi heard Nami mumble before her legs gave out and Vivi had to catch her so she wouldn't hit the deck. Vivi's hands recoiled when she touched Nami's forehead and felt the heat coming from it.

"GUYS, COME QUICK!!! SOMETHING HAPPENED TO NAMI!!!"

Everyone was in the women's bedroom, surrounding Nami, who was in bed and wrapped up in her blankets yet sweating with a red face.

"Don't worry, Nami, we're gonna find the closest island to get a doctor and you'll be fine," Luffy said getting nods from everyone except the girl in question who shook her head and weakly pointed at the desk on the other side of the room.

"No, we can't. Look at the newspaper in the top drawer." Nami said weakly. Luffy nodded at Vivi to go grab it and when she did, she froze.

Usopp looked over her shoulder and gave her a sympathetic look before explaining to everyone else.

"The war in 'Alabasta' has escalated. There are a million people about to fight in a civil war against each other within the next couple of weeks." Usopp said, getting understanding nods before everyone silently looked at the only one who could decide the course of the ship.

Luffy didn't even need to think about it.

"We're going to the closest island with a doctor." He said getting nods from everyone but Nami who looked at him with concern.

"But-"

"No buts, the fastest way to get to 'Alabasta' is to get our amazing navigator healthy as soon as possible," Luffy said getting nods from everyone before they walked out of the room, leaving just Luffy and Nami.

Luffy looked at his navigator who could barely keep her eyes open but was still more worried about others than herself. He gave her a soft smile and put his straw hat on her head.

"Give that back to me when you're all better," Luffy said before he walked out of the room. Nami looked at the door he walked out of for a minute before tightly grabbing the hat on her head and snuggling under her blanket with a happy smile.

"What the hell is going on?!" Luffy shouted as he walked onto the deck. He saw a massive ship next to the 'Going Merry', a shit ton of pirates holding his crewmates at gunpoint, and some weird-looking guy about to bite his fucking ship!!

Luffy's scream attracted everyone's attention to him. The weird-looking guy closed his gigantic metal mouth and grinned at him.

Wapol was very happy.

He had escaped his home of 'Drum Kingdom' when that monster that controlled darkness showed up and pretended to be a pirate to pass the time.

They had raided some island for all the wealth, booze, and food they could take when they saw it on the way. Now, Wapol and his men were drinking and partying to their heart's content from under the sea's surface in their submersible ship.

When he heard that the monster that attacked his kingdom was gone, he immediately ordered his men to sail back home

Wapol was just thinking to himself how nice it would be if he had a pretty woman to complete the nice day when he heard one of his counselors, Chess, say they saw a small ship with no more than 10 people on it with a beautiful blue-haired girl on board.

He immediately ordered his men to ambush and capture them, which went pretty well as none of them seemed to fight back for whatever reason.

Wapol didn't care, it just made things easier.

He was feeling quite hungry and the small ship he had raided looked quite tasty, so he opened his mouth wide to take a bite, only to be interrupted by an angry shout.

Wapol turned to see a black-haired teenager glaring at him, to which he grinned.

Luffy hated the look on that guy's face, but he didn't know what the hell was happening. He looked at his Vice-Captain in confusion. Zoro nodded and explained when he saw that.

"These guys came out of nowhere and said some shit like "Your ship is now ours!!" or whatever. We didn't do anything because you weren't here and we didn't want to mess with Nami by fighting." Zoro explained to his Captain, who nodded in understanding before glaring at the weird guy again. Luffy pulled on the rope in his chest that was his 'Conqueror's Haki'.

*ZIZZ*

Wapol felt a chill go down his spine at the glare before he felt a weight on his shoulders, forcing him to his hands and knees.

*PANT* *PANT* *BOOM* *BOOM* *BOOM* *BOOM*

Wapol felt like he couldn't breathe. The only thing he could focus on was the sound of bodies dropping. He looked around in horror seeing all of his soldiers unconscious. That horror grew when he heard footsteps in front of him.

*Step* *Step* *Step*

Wapol struggled to look up under the pressure as Luffy walked over to the kneeling man. He looked down at him with a menacing gaze and reddish-black lightning surrounding his frame.

"Leave all the doctors on your ship here. Take everyone else and leave." Luffy said, making Wapol nod rapidly as he woke up his men who were next to them and told them to pick up everyone else.

As that was happening, Vivi came over to Luffy with a look of concern.

"Luffy, we need an 'Eternal Pose' to the closest island to find a better doctor if these can't help Nami," Vivi said to which Luffy nodded and glared at Wapol, who was trying to quietly get back onto his ship after telling the doctors to go with Luffy.

"You heard her, go get it," Luffy said simply to which Wapol nodded rapidly before sprinting to his ship.

A couple of seconds later, an 'Eternal Pose' to 'Drum Kingdom' was thrown over and caught by Luffy, who snorted and handed it to Vivi, who smiled at him before going to steer the ship in the right direction.

Luffy looked back at the women's bedroom where Nami was.

'Don't worry, Nami. You'll be all better before you know it.'

"This shit is starting to get annoying."

Luffy was looking at the people in heavy winter coats pointing rifles at them with a deadpanned look on his face. Zoro and Sanji were mirroring his expression while Vivi was watching nervously from behind them. She tugged on Luffy's shirt getting him to glance back at her.

"Luffy, you can't fight here. If you do, Nami might get hurt." She whispered to him making him blink twice before looking back at the ones pointing gun at his crew.

"Hmm, I see."

Luffy said simply before he closed his eyes for a second as he found that familiar rope-like thing in his body. He pulled on the rope as he snapped his eyes back open. As soon as he did so, red and black lightning appeared around his body and spread everywhere.

*ZIZZ*

*BOOM* *BOOM* *BOOM* *BOOM*

Vivi watched in awe as what had to have been a hundred people dropped to the ground unconscious. She looked at the man who did so in front of her with surprise.

She had felt this feeling before when Mr. Bushido knocked out everyone at 'Whiskey Peak', but this time it wasn't being used against her, so she truly could appreciate what was happening this time.

Luffy didn't even move a muscle and this entire country's military was down. The only one of them still conscious was a devil fruit user that looked to be a 'Bull' or an 'Ox'. The man went into his full-zone form as soon as he felt the pressure hit his shoulders. He was on his hands and knees while forcing himself to look up at Luffy.

Luffy could sense that the man was purely worried about the people he just knocked out, so he used 'Shave' to appear in front of the man. The man tensed up when he saw him but Luffy just smiled at him.

"Don't worry, Buffalo. We're just here to find a doctor for my sick friend. We don't wanna hurt anyone. All these guys are just knocked out, they'll wake up in a couple of minutes." Luffy assured him after he reined in his 'Conqueror's Haki'. The man looked at Luffy warily as he stood up and collected himself.

The man knew very well they couldn't stop this man at all, not even mentioning his crew. The only ones who might have a shot would be those three and that old woman, but they could be anywhere on the island treating patients at this time of day. The man sighed before nodding as he went back to his human form.

"My name is Dalton, and I'm one of the 'Three Officers of Drum Kingdom'. I'm sorry for the hostile welcome and I thank you for not hurting the citizens. You see, we had a pirate group destroy our island a couple of months ago, so everyone is very wary of pirates." The now-introduced Dalton explained, to which Luffy nodded in understanding before waving to his crew and telling them to dock.

Everyone disembarked the 'Going Merry' wearing winter coats and thick pants. Well, everyone except for Zoro, who was shirtless and wearing shorts.

"I'm gonna go for a swim." He said as he walked away. Everyone watched him walk away, astounded by the swordsman's actions.

"Have fun, Zoro!!" Luffy just smiled and waved him away before turning back to the large man.

"You mentioned you need a doctor for your sick friend. Why don't you follow me to my house so you can warm up before making the journey? There are only four doctors on the island right now and they tend to operate on their own time." Dalton said to which Luffy nodded before using 'Shave' to get back on the 'Going Merry' to grab Nami.

Dalton was shocked when he saw the 'Isshi-20', what was left of the original 'Isshi-100', get off of the pirate ship. They walked over to him in glee. The head doctor looked at him with shining eyes.

"Sir Dalton, these pirates were attacked by Wapol while on the sea but easily defeated him and his subordinates. The kid in the straw hat is the Captain of the ship and he was the one who got Wapol to let us go onto his ship to try to heal their sick friend. When we couldn't, he asked where our home was. When we said 'Drum Kingdom', he just smiled and said "Oh, nice! That's where we are going! We don't need to make any extra stops!!" before leaving us be until we got here." The head doctor explained everything to Dalton, who now felt ashamed of how they treated the pirates upon their arrival. Dalton looked out at the twenty doctors who looked like they were waiting for orders.

"Everyone split up and go throughout the country to provide medical services for everyone who needs it. Make sure not to charge anything. If you need money for supplies, I will pay for them." Dalton said getting looks of admiration and nods of determination in return before the doctors split up to heal the country they had been forced to forsake.

Luffy walked in the door to the women's bedroom to see Nami asleep wrapped up in her blankets with his hat on her head and a smile on her face. The sight made Luffy smile as he lightly shook her shoulder.

"Mmm?"

Nami lazily batted away his hand, which made him chuckle, before he shook her harder, which made her open her eyes. She smiled when she saw Luffy's smile before frowning when she felt how horrible she still felt. Luffy's smile turned to a frown when he saw how red her face was getting and how hot she was when he shook her shoulder to wake her up.

"We made it to the place with a doctor. I'm gonna put a coat on you and carry you over to this Buffalo guy's house, then we'll go to the doctor." Luffy said as he went to the closet and grabbed a yellow checker-board coat. He walked back and slipped it over Nami's back after he made her sit up.

Once he got that on her, he kneeled in front of her bed with his back facing her.

"Get on," Luffy said getting a tired groan in response. Nami forced herself to sit on the edge of the bed before she just flopped over in Luffy's direction.

Luffy quickly took half a step back so she wouldn't faceplant on his back or the floor. She landed with her face on his right shoulder. Nami slowly wrapped her arms around Luffy's shoulder, her legs around his waist, and pressed her cheek into his shoulder.

"I'll be counting on you, Captain." Luffy heard her mumble weakly. He smiled, grabbed her legs, and hoisted her up so she was secure.

"Leave it to me." He said before he walked back outside.

He smiled at Dalton and his friends who looked at him as he walked over.

"Lead the way, Buffalo!!" Luffy shouted getting a sweat-drop from everyone.

"Luffy, he's a Bison, not a Buffalo." Usopp tried to explain, but judging from the unchanging smile on his Captain's face, it did nothing.

"Buffalo, do you have meat at your house?"
