U.A was bustling with civilians, Heroes, and police. Arriving a bit later than usual, Ryoto was suddenly stopped by a huge hand. Turning around, Ryoto saw Death Arms, Kamui Woods and Mount Lady.

"How are you, kid? You made it into U.A, congrats," Death Arms said, remembering the kid that almost bled out in his arms.

"Thank you, Death Arms, Kamui Woods. If not for you, I would've surely died," Ryoto thanked and bowed.

"That's what a Hero does. I expect to see you doing the same. We will be cheering you on," Kamui Woods said.

"I will not disappoint," Ryoto replied, continuing his way to 1A's waiting room.

Kicking the door open without fearing of hitting anyone, because his sense of the breath around him told him that there wasn't anybody behind the door, Ryoto yelled at his classmates.

"After what the other first-year idiots said, we cannot afford to lose to any of them! As your Class Rep, I advise you to do your best, or else it is me who convinces Aizawa to switch you for someone more deserving of being in class 1A," Ryoto said, motivating, but still threatening his teammates.

Deku felt Ryoto's words target him, even though Ryoto said these words to look more like a leader who did not empathize with weaklings inside his group.

"You are already extras, if you stay or leave, I do not care," Bakugo added.

"Your performance today will show if you are really worthy of becoming a Hero," even Shoto agreed.

No items - except lifestyle support items - were allowed. After the USJ incident, when Ryoto's Quirk was updated, he was called to meet with Principal Nezu, a 3 feet tall, rat-like being.

"Ryoto Matsuda, your father is now in Tartarus after he was classified as a Villain. And now, your grandpa has taken the responsibility for you, is that right," the more mouse than rat-looking principle asked.

"Why are we here? Did I do something wrong at the USJ? I did not kill anyone, not intentionally at least," Ryoto defended himself.

"No, that's not it. You did your best at the USJ, although I do not like it when my students fight Villains before getting their Hero licenses," Nezu answered.

"So?"

"Your Quirk seems to have evolved because of the near-death experience in the USJ. This change in your Quirk factor seems to have caused a few issues and created a few mysteries. Your Quirk cannot be classified as an emitter type anymore, because it carries features from other types as well. So is the case with me. I look like this but my Quirk is called High Spec and it makes me smarter - well that's just the easiest way to explain it."

"And?"

"Considering that you told us that your Quirk would not function without a sharp tool, and now we have seen otherwise, I cannot allow you to use a tool at the sports festival. Your hybrid Quirk type is the reason for this decision, Ryoto. Your body is your tool now," Nezu explained, making it clear that because of Ryoto's hybrid Quirk status, he would not be allowed to use a sword at the sports festival.

"I won't complain, but I consider myself a swordsman. My defensive gain is greater than my offensive gain when I carry a sword. But if this is the decision you made, I won't rebel. You might've just expelled me for lying about the lifestyle support item," Ryoto said, understanding the situation, but still mad as he was denied to showcase his swordsmanship at the sports festival to Yoroi Musha.

Back at the 1A's waiting room, the class was asked to come out to the arena.

Accompanying the light from the end of the tunnel were the cheers from the thousands of spectators that were present. Once the class that wore their sports uniforms stepped out of the tunnel and into the arena, they were mesmerized by the atmosphere.

Thousand of spectators, cheering the future generation on, and hundreds of students from the first year that were too excited to say a word.

The 1A trio, Bakugo, Ryoto, and Shoto looked as confident as ever. Those three had very different reasons to show off that day, wanting to reach a goal that differed the others'.

Gathering in front of a plateau, the students looked up at the R-Rated Hero Midnight who wore her very revealing Hero costume, while also carrying a whip.

'Whore...,' Zoro said, getting a mental agreement from Ryoto.

"SILENCE," Midnight yelled. "This year was the first year that something like this happened. Normally, we would call up the highest-scoring examinee who competed at our entrance exam, but because there are two first-placers, I am calling them both forth. Ryoto Matsuda and Bakugo Katsuki from class 1A! I call you up as this year's representatives."

Having all eyes on them, Bakugo and Zoro smirked. Walking up the stairs to the plateau, the atmosphere grew heavier.

The arena was now completely silent, only the usual cough interrupting it.

Facing the crowd, Ryoto and Bakugo both knew what to say.

"Don't expect nothing less than first place from us," they said in unison, getting a boo from the students of the first year in response.

"HEY!"

"The hell is your problem?!"

"I will make you pay!"

"Hey, at least be happy that you get to be the stepping stones of the first-placers," Ryoto responded to the chrome-colored student.

"HAHAH! How confident... Without further ado, let's begin with the first phase of the sports festival - the obstacle course," Midnight informed.

As soon as Midnight finished her announcement, huge doors opened to reveal the start of the obstacle course.

The first-years gathered at the front of the gate, pushing each other to start at the front. And because Ryoto's control over his Sharpness had become so advanced, whoever touched him felt a stinging sensation from the part of the body that had touched Ryoto. Ryoto was opening microscopic cuts on those wo dared to push him, scaring them away from him and making it able for him to start at the front.

Three red lights atop the gate started to turn off. Then, one green light turned on, then a second green light, and at the third one, the obstacle race started.

Immediately, Bakugo and Shoto shot forward with some other students from 1A following close behind.

Shoto created a floor of ice that constantly interrupted the others' advance. It was allowed as long as you didn't injure someone intentionally.

The first obstacle were a couple of robots from the entrance exam - level 0 to 3, which did not last even a second in front of the monster trio from class 1A.

Shoto simply froze one level 0 robot and continued to run. Bakugo propelled himself to the level 0 robot's head and blew it into thousand different pieces. And Ryoto simple cut the part of a level 0's left leg that held all of it's weight and made it fall - he could've sliced it in half, as the robot was only made out of aluminium and light-weight metals, but just knocking one over would make things more difficult for other contestants. Then there was Ryuji who was slightly behind Ryoto. He kicked one level 3 robot's head, destroying it, then he smiled at the girls behind him.

"AAAAH! As you can see, the 1A trio is currently ahead, followed closely by class 1B's Ryuji," Present Mic commented.

Next was the canyon traversal. Thin ropes stretched across small pillar stones and gave some contestants the option to use them to traverse it.

Shoto create a path of ice over the canyon, which Ryoto gladly used. Ryoto had prepared and trained for the possibility of having to walk on ice, so he had customized his boots - only the boots from the Hero costume were allowed - by installing a very thin blade under it that helped him skate across Shoto's ice. Bakugo just propelled himself over the canyon with countless of explosions that originated from his palms. And Ryuji was simply able to jump across, landing on the pillar stones. His Quirk, Blazing Passion, enhanced his body with intense heat. The heat would increase and decrease when he was passionate about something, and in this case, it was trying to become a Hero and trying to win.

The next obstacle was the mine field. It was also the first obstacle that had the leading four struggle. Shoto could not create and ice bridge over the mine field, as he wasn't able climb on his ice. Bakugo could not use his explosion because it would set off the mines under him. Ryoto could not cut the mines, as they would explode immediately. And Ryuji could not jump across the field.

'Use my Quirk to protect yourself. Simply jump on one mine and get propelled forward. These are no real explosions. You will take no damage,' Zoro devised a plan.

'Alright,' Ryoto answered, cladding his lower body in "Sharpness" and jumping on a mine, distributing his weight in a way that would propel him to his goal.

With that tactic, Ryoto was able to get first place, but pretty soon, the other three closed the distance. Then, a big explosion attracted Ryoto's attention. Once he looked back, he saw how Deku was now at second place, with Bakugo and Shoto following close behind.

Once the mine field ended, the finish line was ahead. Ryoto came in first, receiving cheers from all the spectators.

"There we have it! The first round of the sports festival is over! At first place, we have Ryoto Matsuda! At second place, we have Izuku Midoriya! At third place, we have Shoto Todoroki! At fourth place, we have Bakugo Katsuki! At fifth place, we have Ryuji Sakamoto! At sixth place, we have Ibara Shiozaki! At seventh place, we have Juzo Honenuki! At eighth place, we have Iida Tenya! At ninth place, we have Fumikage Tokoyami! At tenth place, we have Sero Hanta! At eleventh place, we have Kirishima Eijiro! At twelfth place, we have Tetsutetsu Tetsutetsu. At seventeenth place, we have Momo Yaoyorozu! At eighteenth place, we have Ochako Uraraka!----------------------------," Present Mic read out aloud, annoying every single living being that had to hear him.
