I know that the story may seem slow in the beginning, but that is intentional. I want to take the time to immerse you in the world and introduce you to the characters. I also want to let you know that my plans for the Hogwarts arc is relatively small. While Hogwarts is an essential part of the story, I have even more exciting adventures planned for Charles outside of the school. I hope you enjoy the journey and thank you for your patience and support. Sincerely, RogerW

Forbidden Forest

As I made my way into the Forbidden Forest, I couldn't help but shiver at the chilly atmosphere that surrounded me. The forest was dark and foreboding, and the rustling of leaves made it feel like someone, or rather, something, was watching me from the shadows. The silence of the forest was deafening, with only the sound of twigs snapping under my feet. I could feel my heart racing as I ventured deeper into the forest, my wand at the ready.

After a while, I closed my eyes and let myself feel the earth beneath my feet. The energy that flowed through the soil was palpable, and I knew it was time to put my burrowing ability to the test.

As I focused my mind on the transformation, a cool sensation rippled through my body, starting from my fingertips and spreading outwards. I could feel my bones shifting and elongating, scales sprouting from my skin as I began to morph.

The sensation was intense, like my muscles were being stretched to their limits, but I gritted my teeth and pushed through it. My fingers slowly morphed into razor-sharp talons, while purple scales covered my arms, forming a protective layer that glimmered in the light.

As the transformation continued, my arms bulged, muscles growing more powerful and defined. I felt a surge of primal power coursing through my veins, my strength multiplying.

With a final burst of effort, my arms had fully transformed into dragon claws, their sharp tips glinting in the dim light of the forest. With my newly transformed dragon claws, I dug into the earth, the sharp talons slicing through the soil with ease. The power and precision of my burrowing were beyond anything I had ever experienced, and I marveled at the ease with which I could move through the earth.

"Huginn, what's the situation outside?" I asked, my mind focusing on my pet raven.

"The coast is clear," Huginn replied telepathically. "I see no enemies in sight."

Muninn chimed in, "However, there is a group of unfamiliar wizards on the outskirts of the Forest from where we came."

"Thanks for the update," I responded with a tinge of worry. "Keep me posted if anything changes."

Harry Potter was on his way to the Gryffindor common room when he heard a strange whispering coming from one of the corridors. Curiosity getting the better of him, he followed the sound until he came across a chilling message written on the wall in what appeared to be blood.

"The Chamber of Secrets has been opened. Enemies of the heir, beware."

Harry felt a shiver run down his spine as he read the ominous words. The message was messy, the letters unevenly scrawled, as if the person who wrote it was in a hurry or under great duress.

Harry froze when he saw Mrs. Norris, Filch's pet cat, hanging on the wall, stiff as a board. As he stepped closer, he noticed something odd about her eyes. They were wide open and glassy, and a look of terror was frozen on her face.

As I delved deeper into the earth, I could sense something aboveground. Emerging from the earth, I surveyed my surroundings, taking in everything with a keen eye. It wasn't long before I spotted the wand, lying on the ground with no owner in sight.

With a sense of foreboding, I approached the wand and picked it up. It was Mikkel's wand, no doubt about it.

Suddenly, a voice broke through my thoughts. It was Muninn, speaking to me telepathically. "Charles, I see something ahead," the raven reported urgently.

My pulse quickened as I asked, "What is it, Muninn? What do you see?"

"It's a cave, shielded in magic. It's likely under the influence of a disillusionment and alarm charm," Muninn replied, his voice tinged with concern.

As I began to move towards the cave, my mind raced with possibilities. What could be inside? Was Mikkel there, or had he already fallen victim to some kind of dark magic?

"Detectio," I incantated in a whisper to check for any traps that might have been set. I couldn't be too careful, especially with the possibility of dark magic at work. The spell worked its magic, and I could sense no traps in the area.

Taking a deep breath, I pointed my wand at the entrance of the cave and cast another charm.

"Finite Incantatem," The air crackled with energy as the spell hit the outer layer of the cave, causing the ongoing spells and jinxes to falter and weaken.

Feeling a little more confident, I cast another charm.

"Homenum Revelio," A petite, vivacious, blue outline darted across with a dynamic and outgoing energy. It is used to detect any presence of people. The spell sent out a pulse of energy that swept through the area, and I waited anxiously for it to return any results.

At first, there was nothing, but then I felt something.

"I knew I had to proceed with caution, so I kept my wand at hand, ready for anything that might come my way. With one final incantation before the inevitable battle, I stepped into the cave and cast the disillusionment charm on myself.
