POV Ashryn

It been five years since I was assigned to Lady Jasmine and the young Lord. I was tasked to teach the main three languages to the young Lord by Duke Grey. I thought teaching a toddler all three languages at the same time was unusual and impossible. Even though the young Lord was human who were known for their quick learning abilities due to their limited lifespan, but even so learning all of the three main languages was too much for anyone.

I couldn't believe myself when young Arthur started to grasp words despite being six months old, It was twice as fast as what was considered normal. By three years he had good grasp of the grammar of all the languages. And now at the age of five he could fluently speak, read and write the common language, holy language and the draconian language. He was already destined to be a great orator of his generation.

What however shocked me the most was his ability to grasp complex concepts so fast, it was a great joy for myself to teach such a talent. I can only imagine what his future holds, he was not only a natural genius but also loved learning and worked hard as well.

Pov Jasmine

"Arthur!, hurry up we are almost late for the ceremony." I yelled out to Arthur make sure we weren't late.

"I am done mother." Arthur replied as he come done from the stairs.

I still couldn't believe he grew up this fast and was the most intelligent child I have ever seen. Maybe this is was what lead to house Grey to be known for martial prowess and intelligence. He was truly a Grey and even among the Grey I couldn't stop but wonder if he was special.

"I don't know why you don't let the maids dress you, you are still a child Arthur." I reminded him that he wasn't too old to dress himself yet despite his insistence that I found admirable.

As the horse carriage took as from the manor past the castle and towards the city, I couldn't help but hope for today to go well for Arthur. He needed it especially since the blessing ceremony only happens ones for everyone. Arthur needed to have a good blessing to not only ensure his future but also the future of house Grey.

Today of all days despite my nerves, I couldn't help but be amazed by natural beauty of the city as we passed by the city center and towards the great cathedral.

POV Arthur

Mother kept reminding me the importance of today for weeks, I couldn't help but believe that she was more nervous about the whole thing than me. I understood it's importance but wonder why miss Ashryn and mother were so nervous about it.

Entering the huge doors of the golden cathedral, I saw for the first time kids my age who were dressed just like me. The Archbishop welcomed as all and began his long and sleep inducing speech.

After his long speech we (kids) started to get in line in order to receive the blessing. The Archbishop would touch the kid's head before mumbling some words I thought might have be of holy origin. He would then announce what number of blessing they received . Most of the kids didn't receive any, while others received one, some even received two blessings which seemed to have shocked the audience as they started clapping and discussing among themselves. According to the Archbishop no one knew the exact type of blessing that one received until it manifested itself.

My time came and I was instructed to close my eyes by the Archbishop. I finally was able to hear the words of the Archbishop before he touched my head. I felt like something heavy had crushed down onto my body as the Archbishop prayer started. I open my eyes and looked at the Archbishop who couldn't talk out of shock.

"Fi….ve…..five!" he finally said after waking himself from his own shock.

"...…."

The whole room which was filled with noice just moments before was silent enough to hear everyone's gasps.

In front of my face was a blue window with information that I could only assume was about me.
