Chapter 1Xing Heero (1)

Heero was the name given to him by his grandfather. Heero's grandfather wished his grandson would be a great Hero. However, everyone in the village thought it was only his grandfather wishful thought.

Even Heero himself never thought to be a Hero. After all, he was living in Xing Village, in a remote corner of Dramonia. To be a Hero, one had to master the control of Ki for Fighter or master the control of Elemental Ki for Elementalist.

One could only learn the control of Ki and Elemental Ki within Hero Academy. Meanwhile, Xing Village was very far from Hero Academy which was located in a big city. For a mere poor family lived in a remote village, be a Hero was only a dream.

Heero never thought that he would be a Hero. Heero's father and mother also had the same thought. It was too unrealistic to be a Hero for them who lived in a remote village. To be a Hero but was just a dream that everyone yearned.

Meanwhile, Heero's grandfather, despite knowing this fact. Heero's grandfather still named his grandson Heero with thought his grandson would be the next Legendary Hero Mikail.

Before the appearance of the Legendary Hero Mikail, Dramonia was hell for humans. The human was only a mere food in Beast's eyes and a slave in Specter's eyes.

Until one day, Mikail, the Legendary Hero appeared and freed humanity from the despair. The Legendary Hero Mikail fought the Beast and Specter for 300 years long before disappeared.

The tales of Legendary Hero spread amongst the humans. It was said Mikail fought against Dragon God, the God of Beast Race and Purgatory God, the God of Specter race. Mikail perished together with the two Gods of the two races.

But no matter what the reason for Mikail's disappearance, it did not bring humanity down. Instead, the disappearance of Mikail brought a new era to Humanity, Era of Heroes. After the first Hero, the second Hero, the third Hero, and so on appeared.

With many heroes appeared, Humanity stood a chance against the Beast and Specter. Heroes fought a bitter fight and freed humanity from the grasp of Specter and Beast.

After thousands of years struggled, Humanity managed to occupy many lands of Dramonia. The era of Heroes was a prosperous era for humanity. So it was not strange if many people had a dream to be a Hero. The hero was many people revered and yearned for.

That was it, to be a Hero, one must have talent. But the most important to be Hero was a resource. Such as a basic technique Ki Comprehension, medicine to strengthen the body, and other advanced techniques.

Basically, for the poor Heero who lived in a remote village, to be a Hero was impossible. The chance for him to be a hero was nil. Even so, Heero still showed enthusiasm when his grandfather was telling a tale of Legendary Hero Mikail.

Heero was a kind-hearted teen and he did not want to disappoint his grandfather. Despite knowing it was impossible to be a Hero, Heero did not let his enthusiasm down, and the grandfather and grandson were always talking about heroes each they met.

This Year Heero was 12 years old, just 3 years more he would reach marriageable age. Maybe at that time, he would no longer have a leisure time like this to hear the tale of heroes from his grandfather. 3 years later, he would marry his childhood friend, Marrie who also his neighbor.

Heero's grandfather was the village chief of Xing Village and his father was working in the field with the other villagers. Sometimes they would go hunt in the jungle near the village. The villagers in Xing Village was more like a big family, and Heero loved his village a lot.

At this time, even though he yearned to be a Hero, Heero, however, never planned to be a Hero. He just wanted to live like his father. At least this was his thought at this time.

"It's late afternoon, Marrie should have returned from the Tailor Xing. I will go find her!" Hero hummed as he went to his childhood friend's house.

Just now, he was listening to another tale of heroes from his grandfather. King of Hero, this was the title for the Hero who had defeated Beast King or Specter King.

Just now, his grandfather was telling a story about this King of Hero. Xing, the King of Hero who defeated 3 Beast King and 2 Specter King. However, Xing died 500 years ago, 4 Beast King cooperated with 3 Specter King to kill Xing the King of Hero. The story was amazing and he found that his admiration toward Hero deepened.

Heero also felt somehow his grandfather was more excited than usual when he was telling Xing the King of Hero. Despite his admiration toward Hero increased, but it did not change his mind to have a happy life in this remote village.

He just wanted to marry his childhood friend, Marrie and led a happy life with her. At the least, Heero thought so until a year later, Specter attacked the remote village he loved.

The last vision he saw was his house inflame and a thought appeared in his mind, "If only I am a Hero, I can prevent this to happen!"

Before Heero lost his consciousness, there were two words drifted into his hears,

"Son, if you can come out alive from here, don't seek revenge for me and your father. You only need to lead a happy and continue our family line!" This was his father's last words.

Meanwhile, the other voice belonged to his grandfather, "Don't try to be a hero anymore. You must have a good life and continue our family line. Don't even try to get revenge for us."

Heero grandfather, the person who urged him daily to practice to be a Hero, advising him to give up to be one. Heero did not know what his grandfather thought. He could not think why his grandfather who always yearned his grandson to be Hero now changed his mind.

Maybe, the specter who attacked the village instilled a deep fear toward his grandfather. Or maybe his grandfather wanted him to continue their family line. But no matter what the reason was, Heero would never find the reason as those words were the last time he would hear his grandfather.

"I am late!" A man sighed as he saw the debris of the village still on fire.

The man that looked about 20 years old stood before a ruined village. This man looked extremely handsome, wearing white plain clothes, and his clothes were spotless from any stain.

He was a Saint. Saint was different from Heroes, they did not fight to kill the beast or specter. Saint had only one duty, it was to make sure humanity did not perish from Dramonia. If Dragon God was the grand protector of the Beast Race, then Saint was the Grand Protector of Human Race.

Saint would never meddle in the worldly affairs, their only duty was just to make sure the continuation of the human race. He sighed as he could not get what he wanted, he did not feel sad or sorrow for the villagers buried underneath the debris. He had witnessed many deaths, so he was used to seeing this kind of scene.

But he could not get his goal as his main objective was buried underneath the debris. Yes, he was looking for a disciple. Recently, he just learned a divination technique and succeeded. Saint used his divination to look for his successor as he could not find a suitable successor of his position.

The divination told him his successor was in this remote village. Beside found his successor was in this village, his divination also told him the village would encounter a disaster soon. That was why he hurried to come here, but it was too late. The village had become a ruin, he could not detect a single life… Eh!?

With his keen sense, he found there's someone who survived. Saint rushed toward debris of a house that was located in the center of the village. With a wave of his hand, the debris was gone, and he found a pile of corpses. On the topmost, it was an old man corpse, below the old man corpse, there was a middle-aged man corpse, below the middle-aged man, there was a woman corpse.

Saint picked the woman's corpse and found a boy who was still breathing weakly. It was a miracle the boy survived under such a situation. He picked the boy, he looked carefully at the boy's pale face, and then he stunned.

The boy's face was the same face he saw in divination. Saint overjoyed that his successor was survived the disaster and he was not late. It was not strange for Saint to be overjoyed.

The criteria to be a successor of Saint was not hard to look at. Talent? No, to be a Saint, one did not need to be talented. Actually, the condition was simple yet also hard. Kind-hearted, righteous heart, pure mind, benevolent, and firm will.

It was easy to find this criterion on a baby, but Saint could not adopt a baby and choose the baby he raised up. Who set up these criteria? Of course, the predecessor of Saint. The current Saint was so frustrated and wasted a hundred years' time only to learn divination techniques to seek his successor.

Now, he found his successor. It was natural for the Saint overjoyed when he found the boy.

But then, the joy vanished and a frown appeared. Saint looked at three corpses on his side, there was no doubt these three were the boy's family.

Saint shook his head and let out another sigh. After that, he took out a transparent vial. Inside the vial, a transparent liquid that hard to detect. If one did not look carefully, one would think the vial was empty.

Saint drank the transparent liquid to the boy. In an instant, the weak breath became stable. Now, the boy was more like sleeping and the boy was Heero.

I Can Copy And Evolve Talents

Across the vast convolution of worlds, divine beings rule as absolute sovereigns—each god assigned dominion over a singular realm. Skirmishes are inevitable, whether for power, amusement, or sheer pettiness. One such battle, between Nexus, the God of Trickery, and an aging, senile deity, resulted in an anomaly… A soul misplaced. Elliot, an ordinary man, was never meant for Ul’Tra-el. But fate, or perhaps a cosmic prank, had other plans. Unlike other worlds, Ul’Tra-el is an aberration—one that developed a voice. A voice that diverged from the natural order. A voice that changed everything. Its foundation cracked, leaking dimensions into one another. Rifts tore open like festering wounds, vomiting forth unspeakable horrors—monsters not meant to exist. But the world did not sit idly by. In response—perhaps an act of self-preservation—the world gifted its inhabitants power. Talents awakened, granting people extraordinary abilities. And for every rift sealed, the Voice of Ul rewarded them generously. Survival was simple: fight, grow stronger, and close the rifts… or die trying. In this ruthless, blood-soaked reality, Northern—a white-haired boy burdened by his past life—was reincarnated. But unlike the chosen heroes, he awakened as a talentless nobody. No power. No strength. No future. And when death loomed over him—when despair clawed at his soul and the cold grip of the failure threatened to take him— A Voice responded: [System Notice] [Your Soul cannot take a form.] [Searching for a Unique Pattern Ability…] [Searching…] [Search Found.] [A Unique System Ability has been detected.] [You Can Copy And Evolve Talents] ... Follow Northern through his journey as he becomes the pinnacle of this world. This a story about a white-haired boy’s rise from rubbles!! Note: This is an overpower genre but MC does not just start off like that. Even though MC can copy talents he doesn't just jump around copying talents because there's a limitation. However, his rise to strength is depicted and is an experience to enjoy. The first few hundreds would be frustrating to follow because MC is weak but that makes the experience all the more interesting when MC finally gets freaking strong and starts wiping the floor with everyones asses.

Level 1 to Infinity: My Bloodline Is the Ultimate Cheat!

They shattered his life. Now, he’ll break the world. Ethan had it all, until his best friend and the woman he loved betrayed him, leaving him crippled and forgotten. Three years of suffering later, he clawed his way to one final, desperate act… and the universe answered. A hidden quest. A second chance. A return to the moment everything began. Now, Ethan is back, on the eve of Ethereal’s launch, the world’s first fully immersive VR game and the battlefield where legends are forged. Last time, he played fair. This time? He’s armed with years of knowledge: every exploit, every secret quest, every broken mechanic that will let him climb straight to the top. But when he logs in, something is off. The system forces him into an unwanted class—Druid, the game’s biggest joke. The kind of class people pick as a dare and regret immediately. Yet as Ethan digs deeper, the truth shakes him. [Congratulations! You have unlocked the Divine Bloodline: King of Elves!] Ethan stared at the screen, unblinking. “…The hell?” The Druid class was a jack-of-all-trades, master of none—a scattered mess of abilities that mimicked other classes but never truly excelled. Their bear form lacked the raw defense of a proper tank. Their panther form was weaker than a rogue. Their healing fell short of a priest, and their magic couldn’t compare to a mage’s devastating spells. Most players abandoned the class early, realizing they could never compete at the highest level. And yet, Ethan’s stats are off the charts. His talents are absurd. His potential is beyond anything he’s ever seen. The system has given him something no other Druid ever had—a divine bloodline, legendary abilities, and a growth rate that defies logic. If Druids were meant to be weak, then Ethan was the exception that would rewrite history. He’s not just here to reclaim his throne. He’s here to take everything. Factions will rise. Empires will fall. The strongest will thrive, and the weak will perish. And the ones who betrayed him? They won’t live to do it again.

Well, decent story, I gave this story average of 3.8 * for this story... Well, I really like the concept and world-building of this story, the story is interesting and the characteristic of the character also strong, but here is the thing that bothers me and makes me less enjoy when reading this story 1. The author really wants the misunderstand troupe of MC is weak from bystander continue, we'll I know it is to drive the plot but continuing it for a long time is annoying. Moreover the build-up each time when people offend the MC isn’t get paid by the conclusion, aka, the conclusion is not really satisfying... 2. I know that the MC is a kind hero before, but how he reacts and doing something is really annoying, like what the purposes of hiding his identity when you literally always blurted out his identity as master... And the stupidity why he hides his strength... 3. Less screentime of MC’s slice of life, I mean I am interested in this story because the title and the synopsis also tag make me want to read about MC slice of life as retired OP HERO... But his slice of life time is so little here, also what got us hooked about this genre, like face slapping etc isn’t included here, just like I said above, the author introduced many xianxia’s cliche arrogant character here, but the conclusion after they offending the MC is not satisfying. <if this is counted as slice of life part of the story, well, this is getting more and more annoying... 4. Many more thing that makes me uncomfortable when reading this story, but I forgot, I’ll update it when I remember. My favorite part of this story 1. When MC’s become preschool’s teacher 2. How he interacts with children and coax them 3. Worldbuilding and mystery of how his first world and earth connected 4. Side character building is really good Suggestion from me: 1. You can’t just think about the plot, also thinking what you want us as readers to feel, take time to think of what you want the reader to feel in each arc, chapter, or even sentence. 2. Although the characters beside MC is interesting, MC is really annoying, so if it doesn’t change the main plot, please make him change his annoying character. 3. When there is character offend the MC, please make satisfying conclusion of it. 4. I have something in my mind but I don’t know how should I say it, lol. I’ll update the review when the time comes...
