He was looking at his book like her business doesn’t even concern him. “Ugh, your boring you know...” She complained, rolling her eyes at the cold guy. It wasn’t her first time in his office but it feels like he is purposely picking on her and only her. “Hey wanna hangout later at the mall with me?” She stood up from her seat, walking towards his table while looking at him with her warm smile. Using his magic, he teleported her back to her seat, without giving a reply. "Don't ignore me~!" She stood up again and went towards him, with her hands on her table. Without any hesitation, he placed rings around her body, preventing her from moving about and placed her back at where she should be at. "Hmph, meanie..." ———————————— “Vivian, I’m sorry...” “What for?” “I believe that you weren’t the one who did those horrible stuff, you wouldn’t kill Mrs Gale and Mr Gale at all! I’m so sorry for not trusting you sooner...” “It’s okay, I forgive you~!” Vivian hugged Jennie, feeling glad to know that she was there for her when she needed her and even believed her. “Here...I brought some candy, want one?” Jennie handed Vivian a chewy sweet and she ate it but after some while of chewing the candy, she spat out blood from her mouth and fell to the floor... ———————————— Meet Gavin Reinhardt, a cold, unemotional, strict, and scary yet popular werewolf of the school. "Vivi!" A girl came running into her room, to see that she was sitting on a sofa taking pictures of herself even though it was already nighttime.
The pale crescent moon that shone like a silvery claw in the night sky, with glittered of stars surrounding it.
"Why are you taking pictures at night?"
"Why not? It's called night time relaxation you know~" The girl stared at her friend, rolling her eyes at her. She breathed in and out before exhaling a loud sigh.
"What?"
"What do you mean what?! I can't believe you..." The girl exclaimed with her arms crossed, making her set her phone down and look at her friend. They exchanged looks but both said nothing.
Vivian walked up to her asking with her usual smiling face, "Stop being a statue and tell me what is it, Jennie."
"Have you heard of the news?"
"What news?"
"I knew it..." Jennie facepalmed herself, seeing that Vivian haven't heard of the big news that was spreading around the whole school.
That everyone has heard about except for her, it was usual that she didn't heard of the news but this is the biggest news of all time.
"Tell me~!" Vivian shook Jennie by the shoulders but she stopped her before she gets all dizzy and faint.
"Okay okay. So there's this big news spreading amongst the students at the school about a new student joining."
"Okay." Vivian leisurely laid back down on her sofa. She wasn't much into new students that came, thinking that they all must be the same...but she didn't want to be too quick to judge.
"I know what your thinking but...he isn't any normal student like us."
"Okay, I got it~"
"Let me finish!" Jennie loudly said, making Vivian look at her with no interest whatsoever. She didn't want to hear about all the new students and all, It just isn't her business to care.
"Go on..."
"So his name is Gavin Reinhardt and his the only younger brother of Mr Reinhardt, who owns the school! He was assigned by him to manage Star Rise High on his behalf!"
"Oh-"
"Don't just oh! Have you not heard of him?! I heard that he is a strict, cold and a unemotional person!" Vivian stared at her best friend with a ever so straight face, as she was explaining and exaggerating about it.
She stood up and tapped Jennie's shoulders but she was a second faster and grabbed Vivian on the arms while staring at her intensely with her grassy green eyes.
"He is also really, really really scary!"
"I see~"
"Are you not scared at all?!" Vivian thought for a while before shaking her head, why should she be scared of a person like him when she hasn't seen him yet?
Who knows, he might not be like that as people said it...
"Don't be too quick to judge Jennie~ you just heard it from people but that doesn't mean he is one." She said, making Jennie stare at her in disbelief but what can she say?
Vivian was different from her, she's too kind and caring that causes people to take it for granted, making her a easy bully target...
Star Rise High is one of the most famous schools in the area. It is where people between the ages of 18 to 30 can enter to study, train their strength and powers at the same time.
Mr Reinhardt is the owner of this famous school but somehow he offered his duty to his younger brother, Gavin Reinhardt while he takes a rest.
Who is so called famously known for being cold as ice and seemingly no one dare to mess with him. That's what others say...
In this school, people are tested and separated into different rankings, bronze, silver and golden...The bronze rank consists of people with the power levels of 1 to 4.
Silver consists of people with the power levels of 5 to 9 and lastly...the golden rank which consists of people with the highest power level of 10.
Not many people were in the golden rank since they are heard to achieve so mostly are in the silver or bronze. The people who are in the golden ranks are very powerful, powerful to the point where they can even kill people even with a small little amount of powers used.
There were sayings that there are people who have the power level of 11 which was considered legendary...but till today no one has been there or seen someone with that kind of power level. That remains as a saying and no one believed it...
There were also different species of animals in the school be it werewolves, cats, rabbits and bears. There used to be vampires but they were wiped out with the cold war between the werewolves...
Victory belonged to the werewolves, making them more populated than other animals...The war scene was like a bloodbath with all the corpses of the vampires, that lie on the floor, lifeless and pale.
There wasn't a single vampire being spared alive. The past werewolves mercilessly killed them with their magical abilities, some had their fingers, head or legs being cut off...
Some even had marks of being strangled by strong magic, cuts on their body and even some had been slit by their throats...
The mages that sided with the werewolves, helped get rid of them with a vanishing spell that disposed all of the dead bodies...Till today, not a single vampire being, exists in this world, none...
"Okay let's just get to sleep, your talking too much...bears need sleep right?" Vivian joked, pushing Jennie out of her room and closed it before she could say anything back to her.
They both were dorm mates ever since the start of the year, that they became best of friends and they would always be there for each other, through think and thin.
They both were from different species but still got along well with each other.
They each got a room in the dorm, it wasn't big but still usable and most importantly, it was comfortable. Vivian went to tuck herself in bed and fell asleep like a log as soon as she closed her eyes...
♡ The next morning ♡
Vivian woke up and went to get herself ready for school like the usual even though she didn't want to...school was just like a boring place to be at, ever.
She'd rather stay with her darling bed than be at school ever. She was brushing her teeth, nearly falling asleep when the door slammed open.
"Vivi!" She looked up, meeting face to face with Jennie who had her eyes wide open and she shut the door quickly afterwards. There was a moment of silence while Vivian went to do her things..
"What is it...that you have to walk in on me while I was taking a sh*t!"
"Oops haha...sorry but it's important!" Vivian got out of her toilet, taking her bag and sat down in the living room with Jennie.
"Why are you up this early even?"
"How is it early Vivian...it's almost 9am." Jennie remarked. She checked her phone and it was not near 9am yet but it was still early to her.
They looked at each other, Jennie having a troubled face while Vivian had her usual poker face on, "I- Whatever, now what is it so important that you can't wait and barged into my toilet to tell me...!"
"Okay, so the rules have changed."
"What rules?"
"The rules, it's said that every student has to change their dorm partners." Vivians eyes widened with shock. Rules at their school hasn't changed since forever and now there's a sudden change?
"Who changed them?"
"The young master Gavin."
"Young master?"
"Don't tell me you forgot that Mr Reinhardt and Gavin are brothers and that means they belong to the higher ups." Jennie said it with a hint of seriousness in it. Vivian thought for a while before standing up from the sofa.
"Thank you for telling me Jen, I'll get going first." Without looking back, she left the dorm and walked down the hallways. 𝑾𝒉𝒂𝒕 𝒌𝒊𝒏𝒅 𝒐𝒇 𝒓𝒖𝒍𝒆𝒔 𝒊𝒔 𝒕𝒉𝒊𝒔...𝒊𝒕 𝒅𝒐𝒆𝒔𝒏'𝒕 𝒎𝒂𝒌𝒆 𝒂𝒏𝒚 𝒔𝒆𝒏𝒔𝒆.
"I'll just go and find him, it'll be easier that way..." She mumbled to herself before walking faster, down the hallway. There wasn't much people since some are either hanging out in the classrooms or the cafeteria.
When turning round the corner, Vivian accidentally bumped into someone and fell to the floor with a thud.
