20. Shadowy visitor

𝑾𝑰𝑻𝑯 𝑮𝑨𝑽𝑰𝑵 ————————————

"What are you doing, you're getting a little too chummy with that bunny there." Gavin crossed his arms as he stood in front of Victor who was laid back leisurely on the couch.

"Hmm? You jealous?"

"Pfft, as if I would be." Gavin rolled his eyes at Victor who was smiling weirdly at him while wriggling his eyebrows. He ignored Victor and went over to the kitchen to get himself a glass of water.

"How close are the two of you? Friends? Best friends?"

"Not even close." He replied immediately, taking a sip of water from his glass while fishing out his phone from his pocket.

"Hmm? Your not friends?"

"Why would I want to be friends with that bunny, it's not like she doesn't have friends."

"You and your icy barrier. Why don't you just try and make friends with her, who knows what may happen in the future hmm?" Victor voiced out, sounding certain of what he said. 𝑺𝒉𝒆 𝒊𝒏𝒅𝒆𝒆𝒅 𝒘𝒊𝒍𝒍 𝒃𝒆...𝒂 𝒈𝒓𝒆𝒂𝒕 𝒇𝒓𝒊𝒆𝒏𝒅 𝒇𝒐𝒓 𝑮𝒂𝒗𝒊𝒏...

"Whatever, I'll be in my room, and don't disturb me unnecessarily."

"Why do I feel like I'm not welcomed in your dorm here little bro?"

"You wanna taste my pan instead?"

"Okay okay, fine..." Gavin glared at Victor, drinking up his water, and washed his cup in the basin before heading back into his room, leaving Victor all alone in the living room. 𝑯𝒐𝒘 𝒏𝒊𝒄𝒆, 𝑰'𝒎 𝒂𝒍𝒍 𝒂𝒍𝒐𝒏𝒆 𝒏𝒐𝒘 𝒂𝒈𝒂𝒊𝒏.

Meanwhile, Gavin sat down on his chair and laid back on it as he closed his eyes, 𝒘𝒉𝒂𝒕 𝒂𝒎 𝑰 𝒅𝒐𝒊𝒏𝒈 𝒘𝒊𝒕𝒉 𝒎𝒚𝒔𝒆𝒍𝒇...He wondered as to why he would get involved with Vivian every once in a while.

"I'm not getting attached, am I? Nah, that isn't possible." He muttered to himself as he tried to shake off the thoughts in his mind. He placed his book back onto his bookshelf before looking through some of the school documents including Vivian's punishment statements.

"How many more does she have now? Did she complete it?" Gavin asked himself as he collated the papers of handwritten statements by Vivian and placed them by the side of his table with something placed on top of it, preventing the paper from flying away.

"Nothing much to do now, might as well just rest..."

𝑾𝑰𝑻𝑯 𝑽𝑰𝑽𝑰𝑨𝑵 ————————————

Vivian went back to her dorm and happily went in to be greeted by the puppy, it was wagging its tail at her while trying to jump on her.

"When did you get here hmm? Are you hungry~" the puppy barked at her in response to what she asked as she placed down her candies onto the kitchen counter and went over to get the puppy some food to eat.

"Here you go, eat up little one~!" She poured some dog food into the puppy's bowl before keeping away the rest back into the cabinet. 𝑵𝒐𝒘 𝒕𝒉𝒂𝒕, 𝒕𝒉𝒂𝒕'𝒔 𝒅𝒐𝒏𝒆...𝒘𝒉𝒆𝒓𝒆 𝒊𝒔 𝑱𝒆𝒏𝒏𝒊𝒆? 𝑴𝒂𝒚𝒃𝒆 𝒔𝒉𝒆 𝒊𝒔 𝒓𝒐𝒂𝒎𝒊𝒏𝒈 𝒂𝒓𝒐𝒖𝒏𝒅 𝒕𝒉𝒆 𝒔𝒄𝒉𝒐𝒐𝒍 𝒍𝒊𝒌𝒆 𝒔𝒐𝒎𝒆 𝒘𝒊𝒍𝒅 𝒃𝒆𝒂𝒓, 𝒎𝒊𝒏𝒅𝒊𝒏𝒈 𝒉𝒆𝒓 𝒐𝒘𝒏 𝒃𝒖𝒔𝒊𝒏𝒆𝒔𝒔.

She stretched out her arms into the air before heading into her room and closed the door shut. 𝑰 𝒕𝒉𝒊𝒏𝒌 𝑰 𝒔𝒉𝒐𝒖𝒍𝒅 𝒍𝒆𝒕 𝒎𝒚𝒔𝒆𝒍𝒇 𝒓𝒆𝒍𝒂𝒙 𝒂 𝒍𝒊𝒕𝒕𝒍𝒆, 𝒊𝒕'𝒔 𝒃𝒆𝒆𝒏 𝒂 𝒕𝒊𝒓𝒊𝒏𝒈 𝒅𝒂𝒚 𝒘𝒊𝒕𝒉 𝒕𝒉𝒐𝒔𝒆 𝒕𝒘𝒐 𝒚𝒆𝒍𝒍𝒐𝒘 𝒘𝒆𝒓𝒆𝒘𝒐𝒍𝒗𝒆𝒔 𝒉𝒂𝒏𝒈𝒊𝒏𝒈 𝒂𝒓𝒐𝒖𝒏𝒅...she thought as she went to pick out some comfy nightwear and went into her bathroom for a shower.

While Vivian was taking her time in the shower, she was humming in the shower while holding the shower head like a microphone. It was all peaceful and lively until she heard something or someone opened the door to her room.

Whoever opened my door, they need to be more gentle with it, she thought before turning off her showering head and stared at her bathroom door.

She waited, to hear if there were any more movements in her room but there wasn't, 𝒕𝒉𝒆 𝒏𝒐𝒊𝒔𝒆 𝒔𝒕𝒐𝒑𝒑𝒆𝒅...𝒊𝒔 𝑱𝒆𝒏𝒏𝒊𝒆 𝒉𝒐𝒎𝒆 𝒂𝒍𝒓𝒆𝒂𝒅𝒚?

Vivian thought that maybe Jennie had just got home and maybe entered her room to find her since Vivian was in the showers or maybe something else so she shrugged off the weird feeling and continued her shower.

Then a sudden loud thud of something that had dropped onto the floor, made her stop again.

"Jennie is that you out there in my room?!" Vivian shouted but no one replied to her back, 𝒕𝒉𝒂𝒕'𝒔 𝒘𝒆𝒊𝒓𝒅...In the end, she got herself dried up and wore her clothing before opening the bathroom door.

Once she was out of the bathroom, she took a look around her surroundings and spotted nothing suspicious or weird before seconds later she noticed that some of her books had fallen off the shelf.

She went over to the fallen books, picking them u off the floor, and placed them back neatly onto the shelf. 𝑰𝒕 𝒅𝒐𝒆𝒔𝒏'𝒕 𝒔𝒆𝒆𝒎 𝒍𝒊𝒌𝒆 𝒂𝒏𝒚𝒐𝒏𝒆 𝒉𝒂𝒅 𝒔𝒕𝒆𝒑𝒑𝒆𝒅 𝒊𝒏𝒕𝒐 𝒎𝒚...Vivian stopped in her thoughts as her attention diverted over to her room door.

Her room door was slightly opened and somehow the room lighting got darker, 𝑰 𝒌𝒏𝒐𝒘 𝒊𝒕'𝒔 𝒈𝒆𝒕𝒕𝒊𝒏𝒈 𝒍𝒂𝒕𝒆 𝒃𝒖𝒕 𝒊𝒕 𝒔𝒉𝒐𝒖𝒍𝒅𝒏'𝒕 𝒃𝒆 𝒕𝒐𝒐 𝒍𝒂𝒕𝒆 𝒇𝒐𝒓 𝒂 𝒔𝒖𝒅𝒅𝒆𝒏 𝒅𝒂𝒓𝒌 𝒐𝒖𝒕. She wanted to go over to her room's light switch to turn on the lights when she had only taken 2 steps forward, an ominous feeling surround her room.

The feeling felt as if someone was watching her moves, 𝒕𝒉𝒊𝒔 𝒊𝒔 𝒏𝒐𝒕 𝒂 𝒈𝒐𝒐𝒅 𝒇𝒆𝒆𝒍𝒊𝒏𝒈 𝒘𝒉𝒂𝒕𝒔𝒐𝒆𝒗𝒆𝒓...She thought as she looked up at the door when her eyes widened. Vivian met eye to eye with someone staring at her through the opened crack of her door.

𝑻𝒉𝒂𝒕 𝒅𝒐𝒆𝒔𝒏'𝒕 𝒔𝒆𝒆𝒎 𝒍𝒊𝒌𝒆 𝒂 𝒃𝒆𝒊𝒏𝒈...𝒊𝒕'𝒔 𝒎𝒐𝒓𝒆 𝒍𝒊𝒌𝒆 𝒂 𝒔𝒉𝒂𝒅𝒐𝒘...? She squinted her eyes to get a clearer look at the thing over behind her door. The longer she stared at it, memories slowly started flooding back into her mind, 𝑰 𝒕𝒉𝒊𝒏𝒌 𝑰'𝒗𝒆 𝒔𝒆𝒆𝒏 𝒕𝒉𝒂𝒕 𝒔𝒉𝒂𝒅𝒐𝒘 𝒔𝒐𝒎𝒆𝒘𝒉𝒆𝒓𝒆 𝒃𝒆𝒇𝒐𝒓𝒆...

Then she remembered seeing a familiar shadow in the forest where she picked up the puppy from the park, it was the same shadow that was standing there in the forest, staring at her...

"Who are you? Why are you in my dorm?" Vivian calmly asked the shadow but something felt different about it. It was just standing by her door, staring at her, not moving an inch.

She tried moving closer to the shadow but as she got closer little by little, the figure started getting darker and darker until the shadow was not just a faint grey figure but a black dark figure...

She tried reaching out to the shadow but as expected, her hands slipped through the shadow's body. 𝑰𝒔 𝒕𝒉𝒊𝒔 𝒂 𝒈𝒉𝒐𝒔𝒕? 𝑰𝒔 𝒕𝒉𝒆𝒓𝒆 𝒂 𝒈𝒉𝒐𝒔𝒕 𝒏𝒐𝒘 𝒊𝒏 𝒕𝒉𝒆 𝒔𝒄𝒉𝒐𝒐𝒍? Vivian raised one of her eyebrows as she looked at the shadow up and down, scanning it. 𝑾𝒐𝒂𝒉...

"Umm..." She got cut off when suddenly her room went into complete darkness, the window light vanished.

It was just her in an empty room filled with darkness, 𝒕𝒉𝒆𝒓𝒆 𝒔𝒉𝒐𝒖𝒍𝒅𝒏'𝒕 𝒃𝒆 𝒂 𝒃𝒍𝒂𝒄𝒌 𝒐𝒖𝒕, 𝒏𝒐 𝒍𝒊𝒈𝒉𝒕𝒔 𝒘𝒆𝒓𝒆 𝒕𝒖𝒓𝒏𝒆𝒅 𝒐𝒏 𝒂𝒏𝒅 𝑰'𝒎 𝒔𝒖𝒓𝒆 𝒕𝒉𝒆𝒚 𝒂𝒊𝒏'𝒕 𝒔𝒑𝒐𝒊𝒍𝒆𝒅 𝒆𝒊𝒕𝒉𝒆𝒓.

Vivian didn't remember breaking any lights in the dorm so there shouldn't be a sudden blackout, out of the blue. She reached out her hand to where the door was and tried finding a switch or something to get some light in her room.

𝑰 𝒓𝒆𝒎𝒆𝒎𝒃𝒆𝒓 𝒕𝒉𝒆 𝒍𝒊𝒈𝒉𝒕 𝒔𝒘𝒊𝒕𝒄𝒉 𝒃𝒆𝒊𝒏𝒈 𝒉𝒆𝒓𝒆... 𝒘𝒉𝒆𝒓𝒆 𝒊𝒔 𝒊𝒕? She used her hands and traced around the wall in front of her.

"Ah! Here." Vivian spoke up as she turned on the lights, flicking the switch on. Once the switch was on, she gasped at the sight of her room.

"Okay, I don't know what you want from me but don't go around trashing my room into a mess. I don't want to be cleaning up my room after a tiring day with cabbages." She said as she stared at the shadow that was currently floating in her room that was messed up by it.

"Why are you..." she stopped in her sentence as she noticed a trail of blood around her room with bloody handprints on her wall. 𝑰𝒔 𝒊𝒕 𝒉𝒂𝒍𝒍𝒐𝒘𝒆𝒆𝒏? 𝑾𝒉𝒆𝒏 𝒊𝒔 𝒉𝒂𝒍𝒍𝒐𝒘𝒆𝒆𝒏 𝒂𝒈𝒂𝒊𝒏? Her eyes followed the trail and it seemingly came from outside of her room.

"What- Woah!" She exclaimed out in a tiny bit of shock as she lifted her eyes up to where the shadow was. It now stood close to her but this time showing a little darkness in it.

"Your pretty cool~ Why don't you go back to where though belong and don't barge into someone's room like that." it didn't move so she decided to follow the blood trail out of her room.

"If you're not moving or going away, then I'll go instead-" Vivian got cut off again when she felt a strong force gripping onto her leg, 𝒘𝒉𝒂𝒕 𝒏𝒐𝒘... 𝒉𝒖𝒉? She looked down at her legs as she saw two shadow-like hands grabbing onto her leg.

"Let me go!" She tried kicking away the hands but fell onto the floor, flat on her butt instead. 𝑶𝒖𝒄𝒉...𝒎𝒚 𝒃𝒖𝒕𝒕! 𝑻𝒉𝒂𝒕 𝒉𝒖𝒓𝒕, 𝒎𝒚 𝒈𝒐𝒐𝒅𝒏𝒆𝒔𝒔. 𝑾𝒉𝒂𝒕 𝒅𝒐𝒆𝒔 𝒕𝒉𝒊𝒔 𝒕𝒉𝒊𝒏𝒈 𝒘𝒂𝒏𝒕 𝒇𝒓𝒐𝒎 𝒎𝒆?!

"I said let me go!" She yelled out once again using a little of her magic to get rid of the shadow hands from grabbing her leg. She held out her hand and casted an light holy magic that gets rid of any evil spirits from her.

𝑻𝒉𝒆 𝒓𝒊𝒏𝒈...The ring was shining as it did before in her room at night, somehow instead of just her holy power. The ring had magical sparks that were glowing a shade of purple like Vivian's eyes, the sparks spiraled around the shadow beings and it slowly faded away.

"What's this...?" 𝒊𝒕 𝒔𝒆𝒆𝒎𝒔 𝒍𝒊𝒌𝒆 𝒕𝒉𝒆 𝒔𝒑𝒂𝒓𝒌𝒔 𝒉𝒂𝒅 𝒂𝒃𝒔𝒐𝒓𝒃𝒆𝒅 𝒕𝒉𝒆 𝒔𝒉𝒂𝒅𝒐𝒘𝒔, 𝒏𝒐𝒘 𝒘𝒉𝒂𝒕? The sparks turned black as in returned to the ring and she felt a feeling of electricity flowing in her as the magic entered back the ring.

Then the rest of the sparks flew over to the other big shadow that was originally in her room and did the same thing it did to the shadow hands. After being absorbed into the sparks, the black sparks flew back into the ring and the same electricity feeling buzzed in her.

Everything went back to normal when the shadow disappeared from sight, the blood, handprints were all gone, it was as if nothing ever happened before.

"Right...now what just happened?" Vivian was still confused about all that had just happened with the shadows and did not know why she is seeing them around.

𝑬𝒗𝒆𝒓𝒚𝒕𝒉𝒊𝒏𝒈'𝒔 𝒄𝒍𝒆𝒂𝒏 𝒏𝒐𝒘...𝒆𝒙𝒄𝒆𝒑𝒕 𝒇𝒐𝒓 𝒎𝒚 𝒓𝒐𝒐𝒎...𝒖𝒈𝒉. Vivian sighed loudly as her room was still in the same mess as the shadow left it to be.

"Great now I have to clean up this mess, that shadow made of my room," she complained as she got up from the floor, dusting off any dirt on her nightwear before going over to her bed and started cleaning up her room.

Once she got everything clean and tidied up in her room, she went out of her room and before she fully step out of the room, she took one more glance around her room and closed the door behind her.

𝑵𝒐𝒘, 𝑰 𝒈𝒖𝒆𝒔𝒔 𝑰 𝒄𝒂𝒏 𝒍𝒆𝒕 𝒎𝒚𝒔𝒆𝒍𝒇 𝒓𝒆𝒔𝒕 𝒇𝒐𝒓 𝒂 𝒘𝒉𝒊𝒍𝒆, 𝒂𝒍𝒍 𝒕𝒉𝒂𝒕 𝒄𝒍𝒆𝒂𝒏𝒊𝒏𝒈 𝒊𝒔 𝒂𝒅𝒅𝒊𝒏𝒈 𝒖𝒑 𝒕𝒐 𝒎𝒚 𝒇𝒂𝒕𝒊𝒈𝒖𝒆...Vivian thought, sighing as she plopped herself down on the sofa comfortably. The puppy ran over to her, jumping up the couch, and cuddled beside her as she rests.

"Do you know anything about that shadow hmm, puppy?" Vivian asked the puppy as she tiredly cuddled it close to her in her arms as she laid down on the couch with her eyes closed.

"What am I saying, of course, you wouldn't know anything about that shadow~ Your just a puppy~ my favorite puppy hehe." She chuckled sheepishly at herself before falling into a small dreamland of hers. 𝑳𝒆𝒕 𝒎𝒆 𝒋𝒖𝒔𝒕 𝒓𝒆𝒔𝒕 𝒇𝒐𝒓 𝒂 𝒘𝒉𝒊𝒍𝒆 𝒂𝒏𝒅 𝒎𝒂𝒚𝒃𝒆 𝑰'𝒍𝒍 𝒘𝒂𝒌𝒆 𝒖𝒑 𝒍𝒂𝒕𝒆𝒓...
