A quest window appeared in front of me, which was probably triggered by Professor Oaks. I quickly pressed the <Accept > button after reading the quest description.

"You can find my Grandson somewhere in the Lab and have a Pokemon battle with him. The Pokemon battle will help you understand how to use your Pokemon in a Pokemon Battle."

"But you should hurry, He has also received his starter Pokemon today, and he will be starting his journey. So he will be gone from 'Pallet Town' by tomorrow."

So, that's why there is a deadline in the quest. Blue will be gone from 'Pallet Town' for his trainer journey, making it impossible to have a Pokemon battle with him.

'I wonder what will happen to those who did not make it this far. Will they not receive this quest, or maybe some other quest will be given to them?'

After listening to the words of Professor Oak, I searched around the lab and soon found a teenager with a black half-sleeve top, Purple pants, and orange spiky hair.

Just as I started moving towards Blue, He saw me and started moving towards me.

"Hey, I am Blue. You must be a new trainer who just got his starter Pokemon."

"Yes, I am Dipper and I just got my starter Pokemon from Professor Oak too."

"I also got my starter Pokemon Today." said Blue.

"Let's check out our Pokemon! Come on, I'll take you on!" said Blue.

Immediately, After saying that, Blue sent out his starter Pokemon, which was a Lv5 Squirtle, and a translucent wall with a hint of red color appeared around us, probably to stop the trainer from Running away.

Pulling the Poke Ball out, I sent my Lv5 Charmander to face against Squirtle.

Just as I sent my Pokemon out, Three different screens appeared along with Green Heath Bars in front of me.

The first screen shows the details of my Pokemon. The second screen shows the available Four moves of my Pokemon and a <Run > button at the bottom. The third screen shows the content of my Backpack and my other Pokemon.

From the first screen, I can view the details, stats, abilities, and much other important information about my Pokemon. On the first screen, there is also the option to view the details of the opponent's Pokemon, but it is currently grayed out. Maybe it would need to be unlocked by some quest or item.

From the second screen, I could choose the move that I want my Pokemon to perform, and from the third screen, I could choose an item or Poke Ball to use during the battle. Though currently, the third screen is empty since I do not have Pokemon other than Charmander which I can switch from, as well as any item or Poke Ball in my backpack which could be used during a Pokemon battle.

The mechanism of the Pokemon battle is similar to the Pokemon games. I can choose to perform a move or I can use an item, Just like a turn-based game.

I choose <Scratch >, reducing the HP of Squirtle by 5. In response, Blue chose to use <Tackle > reducing the HP of Charmander by 3.

Again, I choose <Scratch > and Blue chooses <Tackle >

Again, I choose <Scratch > and Blue chooses <Tackle >

Again, I choose <Scratch > and Blue chooses <Tackle >

Again, I choose <Scratch >, causing the HP of Squirtle to reach '0' and causing it to Faint and defeating Blue.

"It seems like I picked the wrong Pokemon!" exclaimed Blue.

From a flash of light, a backpack appears in my hands. Looking inside the bag, I found it to be empty. After looking inside the backpack, I put it on.

Before I could think about the missing reward of the quest, which is the Map of the 'Kanto' Region, a voice interrupted me.

"Hm! Excellent!" said Professor Oak as he revealed himself from behind me.

"If you win a Pokemon battle, you earn prize money, and your Pokemon will grow. But if you lose to a trainer, then you also lose some of your money, which is given to the opponent as prize money."

"Battle other Trainers and make your Pokemon strong." said Professor Oak.

"Okay! I'll make my Pokemon battle to toughen it up!"

"Now, Gramps and Dipper, leave me alone. I have made preparations for my journey." said Blue as he turned around and went his way.

But after walking a few steps, Blue turned back and came to me. He took something out of his backpack and handed it to me.

"I already have a Map; this one is an extra. You should take it." said Blue.

"And the next time we meet, I will defeat you." saying that Blue went his way without looking back.

"So, Dipper, as you have experienced your first Pokemon battle, you now have the experience to use Pokemon in a Pokemon battle and protect yourself. You will encounter wild Pokemon as you leave the town's area. The wild encounter is similar to a Pokemon battle where you will face off against a wild Pokemon, You can either choose <Run > to run away from the Pokemon if it is possible or you can face the Pokemon."

"Upon defeating the wild Pokemon, your Pokemon will grow stronger, but you will not get any prize money for defeating the Pokemon. During wild encounters, if you weaken the wild Pokemon enough, then you can use Poke Balls to catch it."

"If your Pokemon faints during a wild encounter and you have no other Pokemon to switch then you will automatically be teleported to the nearest Poke Center that you have visited."

"In Pokemon Center, not only can you heal all your Pokémon for free, but you can also trade with other trainers, as well as deposit and withdraw items via the PC system in the corner."

"As for Items and Poke Balls, you can buy them at Poke Mart, which are present in every City, just like Pokemon Centers are in every City."

"Now that you know all the basics, I have a task for you."

"I have a parcel under my name in the Poke Mart of 'Viridian City'. If I were young, then I would have retrieved that parcel myself, but now I have grown older and I do not have a Pokemon to protect me. So, can you go to the 'Viridian City' and retrieve that parcel for me?"

Description - There is a parcel under the name of Professor Oak in the Poke Mart of 'Viridian City'. Go to 'Viridian City' and retrieve that parcel for Professor Oak.

A quest window appears with the basic information about the quest. I pressed <Accept > since it is not possible to reject this quest, and I know that the reward of this quest is very important for the journey.

"You can reach 'Viridian City' if you follow 'Route 1'. The Poke Mart is a building with a Blue Color roof, take the parcel from the owner and return back to me." said Professor Oak.

"You can find me in my lab after returning. Now then excuse me, I have to attend to other trainers that will be coming for their starter Pokemon today." said Professor Oak as he made his way back to the table and the large machine at the back of the lab.

Exiting the lab, I once again made my way back to the north of the 'Pallet Town' where 'Route 1' is. Again, I saw other players on my way. The players were going in the direction of the lab, which means that they were also going to Professor Oak to get their starter Pokemon.

Feeling the urgency, I increased my pace, and before I knew it, I was right in front of the opening that connects 'Pallet Town' to 'Route 1'.

Looking around, there were other players who were trying to enter 'Route 1', but every one of them was stopped by an invisible wall. Those who tried to enter will stopped after 1-2 tries and start heading back to the town, probably to look for Professor Oak and get their starter Pokemon.

Not stopping for much longer, I set foot in the opening. Unlike last time, I was not stopped by the red barrier.

"Hey, How did you do that...?" asked one of the players from the crowd.

His voice attracts the attention of other players onto me.

"Hey Brother, How did you cross that red barrier...?" another player asked.

Without stopping, I Continued on my way.

"At least tell us the location of Professor Oak."

"Hey..."

The voices of the other players cut off as I enter the tall grasses on 'Route 1'.
