A child around four years old was standing on a beach, wind was blowing through his hair as he looked at the sea.
He had quite the average looks, nothing one would look for twice in a crowd.
Be it his black hair, his light skin, simple clothes or his plain expression, everything screamed background character.
There was absolutely nothing special about him.
Except for his soul.
"Four years, do you know how hard it was to live all these years?"
The child said bitterly to the ocean, the one who he held responsible for bringing him to this world, for all his suffering.
After all, if he didn't drown during the cruise he wouldn't be reborn here, in this sad world.
He would still be living in his world, where life wasn't a constant fight for survival.
"I really hate you ocean, I swear I'll destroy you one day."
The child announced to the vast sea it's eventual destruction.
A tall claim for someone to make, but in this world, it wasn't impossible.

The child thought smugly, unable to comprehend how devastating his actions would be if that ever happens.

The child scratched his hair with both hands in a show of frustration.
In this life he was born from a wanderer couple, wandering life being a very common thing in this war torn world, he was currently settled in the land Whirlpools.
This was supposed to be a small stop for them, not a full blown week long one, but he was helpless, after all, his parents never returned after they went hunting that day.
"They are dead aren't they."
The child thought sadly, he had somewhat expected this result a week ago, seeing how weak and malnourished they were, but as the reality set in, it still hurt.
Clutching the leather tag stitched to his shirt, a tag which had 'Sato' lovingly carved into it, the boy sighed.
"My reserve food is almost gone, I will be forced to move soon."
'Dammit, are no ninja's seeing the smoke from the campfires I am making.'
The child named Sato rubbed his hair, the moment he realised he might need to survive on his own, as a wanderer no less, he decided to take a chance.
The land of Whirlpools was snugly sitting between land of fire and land of lightning, both had great ninja villages around.
Watching a constant flow of smoke from a no man's land should be more than enough for someone to check it out.
"Either someone finds me or I try surviving as a hungry wandering child."
"Let's see where fate takes me."
He still hoped he could become a ninja, he had confidence he could do it given the chance, although becoming a strong Ninja was still a problem.
In this world it was almost impossible to do so, given his birth and lack of alien bloodline.
"What are you doing here kid."
Sato paused his thoughts, a voice, he didn't hear footsteps either.
'A ninja!'
Sato concluded, his campfire attracted someone after all.
Turning back Sato found three people standing behind him.
Two dark-skinned men and one lanky light skinned man.
"Are you from the land of lightning Mr Ninjas?"
Sato asked, those headbands were an obvious giveaway, so he spoke with confidence.
But the truth of the matter is, he recognised the lanky man, this was C, the guard of fourth Raikage A.
"We are the one's asking questions here kid, what are you doing here?"
A woman's voice came from behind him yet again, making Sato stiff.
Turning back once more, he saw a girl looking similar to C, with blonde hair and light skin, but it wasn't her looks which make his heartbeat go up, it was the fact that he knew her as well.
'The two tails jinchuriki, Yugito Nii.'
Sato thought, sweat was now involuntarily coming off his head.
Even a fool could see the duo of C and Two tails jinchuriki with these rough looking Jonin weren't out for a stroll.
They were doing something big or have already done something big.
'Shit, I might have attracted the wrong kind of attention here.'
Sato grumbled yet he was far from trembling, he was after all not really a child.
These years of hard survival had already honed his mentality a lot.
"Sorry Ms Ninja, my father once told me a story about Mr third Raikage, so I was curious."
"I am Sato, four years old, I was just thinking what to do now, my parents haven't come back for a while."
Sato smiled wryly, he had noticed a small pause in C after his speech, a fleeting emotion but he managed to capture it.
"Sato huh, it's a good name."
"Say Sato kun, what story have you heard about Raikage sama?"
Despite C being moved, it was Yugito Nii who did the talking.
This time taking the bait Sato had thrown their way.
These guys were from the hidden cloud, they were known to be fiercely loyal to their village and partners.
So much so that hidden cloud was the only great village which didn't have a member in akatsuki, no betrayals at all.
Stories circulating about their Raikage was not something people like that would look past casually.
They were bound to ask what the rumours passed on as stories were about, it was their instinct as a Kumo Ninja.
And this was exactly what Sato was waiting for.
A chance to impress.
"It's nothing much big sister, father once told me how Mr Raikage took down 10,000 men on his own."
"All so that his people could survive, and I find that really cool."
Sato smiled at Yugito Nii, this one sentence did come from his heart, he did find that feat extremely cool.
Third Raikage was a tank, a beast of a man who fought for his partners till the end, he respected him.
"Ohh~ you find him cool?"
Yugito Nii finally showed a smile, she bent down and patted Sato's head.
Sato grinned back and nodded excitedly.
"Yeah, he is really awesome!"
He didn't even have to fake his excitement, after all, a good review from the Two tail jinchuriki was sure to get him into the village, he was excited for sure.
Yugito Nii didn't think so much was going on in Sato's mind, she could already feel Sato had almost no chakra and was genuinely excited.
He was no spy either, she just checked his chakra flow when she patted his head, he was under no genjutsu.
So under Sato's deliberate guidance and her kind nature, she finally fell for his act.
"Sato."
"We are Ninjas from the hidden cloud, do you want to come with us and become a cool Ninja like Raikage sama?"
"You don't have anywhere to go right?"
Sato almost jumped with joy, it worked.
He could become a Ninja.
Finally.
As for what big thing this team just did, what kind of mess they made before meeting him, it wasn't under his consideration.
