Ch. 63 - Madame Gao

I was having meditating in my meditation room, circulating my Chi inside my body, this doesn't do much to one's own body except that it serves as a training in manipulating Chi inside you.

Anyways, as I was doing that, I received a report from one of my subordinates about another failure of taking back their ground in the Underworld.

That pesky Joker! Because of him my plans for the Underworld is now thrown out of the window and now I have to make a new plan on how I will take back what's mine.

I tried negotiating with him but considering that his first meeting with the Hand is very bad, I predicted that the negotiation would go nowhere and would just waste my time, so I decided to step aside in the meantime and let the Joker do his job first, by the time my patience on him runs out, then taking him out would be as easy as a breathing.

Another report was then handed to me, it says about Strucker, one of Hydra's leader wanted to set up a meeting with me. I was just about to refuse when I read that it might interest me and could possibly help me take back the Underground from the Joker's hands.

Hmm, fine. Humor me Strucker, I'll see what you have up your sleeve.

"Prepare the car, I would meet someone." I ordered my subordinate beside me who disappeared from her sight in just 2 seconds, though it was slow when it comes to me. I could disappear from someone's vision in just a second as if I teleported.

It's not that much of a surprise as I'm probably one of the strongest and the oldest being in the entire world, I've already seen and experienced many things in this world.

The Joker is just a small problem that I could solve anytime with just a flick of my finger. But I'm not gonna kill him for now, I want to see what kind of person he is and who knows, maybe he's a good unhatched seedling for the Hand.

As I arrived in the secret facility of Strucker, I was shocked to find out that there were dead bodies laying everywhere, and from their clothes, I could tell that they're Hydra Agents.

What happened here? If this is an attack from someone, then I'm shocked as Hydra is a very huge organization and seeing that someone or another organization could do this much damage to Hydra, not even thinking of a consequence, then this is probably a big news as there might be a new player coming in.

As I entered the facility followed by 5 of my best ninjas, I was met with more dead bodies, smokes and fires everywhere.

"You 5 go first and check if there's any survivors. I want to know what happened here." I ordered to them and they all disappeared in a flash.

Who or what kind of organization could do this much destruction? There not much bullets around so the bullets that I'm seeing are probably from the Hydras, which now begs the question, what kind of weapon is used against the Agents?

I could see some bodies smashed in, cuts, and even some decapitated heads.

"Come back now, tell me what you've found." After 5 whole minutes of checking around, I finally ordered my subordinates to come back to my side and report what they have.

However, instead of expecting them by my side in a few seconds, they didn't arrive.

'Either they didn't hear me which is impossible as they're trained to hear noises from almost a kilometer, so there's only one left...' I said to myself as my eyes squinted at the sudden quake in the floor.

'Something bad happened to them!' I immediately assumed as I dashed towards their location where I last sensed them.

When I arrived there, I was shocked to find out that 4 of my best subordinates are lying on the ground with huge hole in their bodies.

In the middle of them was a redhead lady with glowing red energy on her hands while looking around in coldness.

Meanwhile, my last subordinate was also on the ground, breathing heavily and seemed to be on the brink of death.

"What have you done?" I coldly glared at the woman as she finally turned her attention to me.

"Who are you?" The red haired girl tilted her head and asked.

"You don't to know me, this day will be your burial ground! Hah!" I arrogantly said as I dashed towards her in my full speed before slapping her hand away and slammed my palm towards her abdomen.

With my proficient use of Chi, I let my Chi travel through abdomen upon contact as she writhed in pain.

"You would suffer more pain than that if you resist, so don't resist and let death take back what's hers." I said to her with a smug expression however I was shocked to discover that the Chi that I inserted inside her suddenly faded away as she stood up and patted her clothes.

"I admit you got me there but by surprise. It'll never repeat next time." Then she just stood there like she wasn't just writhing in pain earlier.

Hmm, interesting, is it related to those red Chi in her hands? Perhaps she's somehow related to the K'un-Lun and the Iron Fist but that's impossible, the last time I remember, their Chi isn't red.

However, I was snapped out of my thoughts when the said Chi suddenly flew out of her hand and came dashing towards me.

Having a bad feeling, I immediately tried to step out of the way however it was already too late as it already made contact with the ground I'm stepping on.

*Boom!*

A huge explosion occurs as I felt my senses tingling in pain while my body was thrown away and collided with the wall behind me.

'What was that? Such pure and destructive energy and this little girl possesed it?!' For the first time I was enraged, how come someone like her possesed such uncontrolled Chi, when I am the best there is when it comes to Chi. I change my mind, this girl is coming with me, whether she likes it or not. Someone like her needed to be under the Hand. She would be a great asset against K'un-Lun.

"Little girl, you may not know me but with such uncontrolled power, perhaps I could help you. Just come with me peacefully and I'll show you the way on controlling a powerful Chi such as that." I stood up on the ground, ignoring the searing pain on my back and made an offer to the girl.

"I'm sorry, but I already have a teacher." She shook her hand as my face twitched in anger.

"Then this teacher of yours must be dumb and doesn't know how someone like you can be more powerful than you are now. But me, I could help you manipulate that power of yours and become more stronger than your current self." Despite being rejected once, I still tried my best to persuade her, in hopes of changing her mind if I somehow slander her teacher and appear more powerful than whoever her teacher is.

"Heh, says someone who can't even walk with her back straight." She mocked, I'm gonna ignore that as she's very valuable.

"My offer still stands. Though I hope you won't regret your decision today." Just as I was about to walk away, she suddenly stopped me.

"Where are you going? We're not done." She said as her hands glowed once more and she threw this Chi towards me again.

With my honed instincts for 400 years, I was already prepared and dodged her attack as I replied to her.

"Do you know what you are doing little girl? I already gave you a chance to walk away scot free and you're throwing it out of the window." I said to her as I jumped high and manipulated my Chi so I could have something to step on.

*Boom!*

However, it didn't last long as I only needed to use it for me to jump higher and farther.

"Who said about me going away scot free? Take a look around you and see who's at mercy." She said as I finally landed on the ground.

"You're too arrogant for your own good." I gave her a spiteful look as another energy came hurling towards once again.

"You're too old for your own good." She snapped back as I was about to dodge the hurling energy when I found myself locked in my place, without moving an inch.

'What's going on? I can't move!' As I was trying to set myself free, the energy was already in front of me as I tried my best to move but it was in vain as the said energy already made contact with my body.

*Boom!*

I was blasted away as blood dripped out of my mouth and my head felt a little bit dizzy, giving me a hard time to manipulate Chi. I needed time.

"Why are you even here in the first place?" I asked, trying to buy myself some time to recuperate.

"Answering you won't serve me anything. So, either you tell me why you're here or I'll let death take back what's rightfully hers. Make your choice." She spread her hands and said to me in the same manner as I said to her earlier.

"I'm only here because Strucker is enemy and he has gone too far in his experiments that even involves a child." I lied, trying to gain her pity, however it didn't work.

"If you think you can gain my pity then you're a thousand percent wrong. I could tell whether someone is lying or not." She squinted her eyes at me and said.

Sigh, atleast it gave me enough time to recuperate and manipulate my Chi to perform this technique of mine that I just recently discovered.

I haven't made a name for it yet but it's capabilities is very dangerous to someone with a painful past as I would manipulate my Chi to their minds and force them to live in their past through their memories.

"Hah!" Since she got too close to me, it gave me enough time to reach for her head and perform the said technique.

"Wha-?" Just as she was shocked by the sudden move, she finally stopped moving and was frozen in her place. Good, this will give me enough time to take her away from this place.

However, just as I was about to do that, her whole being suddenly glows in scarlet red energy and she appears to be more angrier than usual.

"That'll be your biggest mistake!" She growled as I finally realized what my position here is.

It looks like I just provoked a beast in a human's skin.
