Chapter 20_ Boss 2

Racheal walked hand in hand with Marcus, right now they were heading to an eatery. Racheal gave a fuss about it but Marcus assured her that they would go wherever she wants to go after they had a good meal.

Marcus knew he was being followed and he didn't want to create a scene, he came to a conclusion that they must be at public places at all times.

If he hadn't gotten to Racheal's house on time, she would have been dead by now.

"Marcus, when we are done can we visit the museum?" Racheal asked with pouted lips.

"of course" Marcus mumbled.

Aidan moved about furiously in his office, his men stood rooted to the ground they knew their boss was mad.

' how dare he challenge me openly?, what would he achieve by getting her into the picture?" he punched the wall in anger.

One of his men came forward to tend to his fist that was bleeding but was pushed aside "all of you get out immediately" he barked at them.

He reached for his phone " Brian meet me at the base in ten minutes" with that he hanged up the phone.

Meanwhile....

Racheal noticed that Marcus wasn't paying attention to her, so she snapped her fingers at him. " Marcus" she called out.

Marcus managed to smile but in the next second it vanished, they knew he was in the eatery.

Racheal who was unaware of the danger that was lurking around continued with her meal.

A sound of an helicopter hovering around the eatery could be heard and that was the cue Marcus needed.

He immediately pulled Racheal from her seat and dashed out of the eatery. some men were running after him, Racheal who was in a state of confusion felt herself being lifted off the ground.

Her heart raced wildly when she saw she was dangling on a rope with Marcus by the chopper.

She closed her eyes in fright seeing the distance from the ground, she clinged onto Marcus screaming.

The men below started raining shots at the chopper that was flying away quickly.....

At lycan's base...

Brian rushed in to see Aidan sitting calmly, he knew there would be blood.

whenever he sits still like this he is about to activate his killer mode.

"big bro what is going on? have you seen the news? how can he do that?" Brian was equally furious.

Douglas just crossed the line by involving Racheal in this bloody affair of theirs.

" if he had involved her when she hadn't signed that contract I wouldn't be so irked about it" Aidan muttered gnashing his teeth.

"bro Douglas is a calculative person, of all people why that innocent girl?" Brian asked confusedly.

Racheal was dragged into something she knew nothing about, there's something they were missing. something was fishy about everything.

"grandpa knows something" Aidan mumbled.

Brian tapped his chin in deep thought, he was sure lyra must have seen the news by now...

Marcus whose real name was actually Douglas stared at the sleeping beauty on the bed. she was unconscious, he had to sedate her.

She was asking too much questions throwing tantrums here and there.

He knew those Wilson's brothers would try to haunt him down but he must act fast if he wanted to live.

Racheal snapped her eyes open, she looked around the unfamiliar room. "you are awake".

Marcus rushed to her side, he saw her retreat back.

"don't come any closer" Racheal warned moving further away from the bed.

"who are you? and why have you brought me here?" she continued.

Douglas hissed in frustration "come on now Racheal, don't try to be hard or I will have to sedate you again".

Racheal's thought were filled with confusion, why would Marcus abduct her? she doesn't even worth a penny.

"where on earth have you brought me to?" she demanded.

A man walked into the room and whispered something to Douglas before they both left.

Tears were now forming in her eyes as she clutched her dress tightly, she wasn't with her phone to call anyone.

And there was no way she could leave this room, there was only one window for ventilation, and it couldn't fit her to pass through.

She went to the door and tried opening it, but it seems it was locked from outside.

"oh goodness what have I gotten myself into? lyra must be so worried if she found out that I'm missing".

Racheal moved about the room, why was Marcus behaving strange? who was he? and why were they chasing him this afternoon?.

At Wilson's mansion.

Different cars were lined up going to the Wilson's house, the servants around the surroundings moved back seeing the first pace of the cars coming in.

One of the car doors opened, Aidan and Brian came out hurriedly going straight into the building.

Old Wilson saw them from his window and wondered what was wrong seeing the cars lined up in his house.

He came out of his room and came face to face with his grandsons. "what do you know about that girl?" Aidan asked.

Old Wilson looked between the two boys with a lifted brow. " who are you talking about?" old Wilson acted dumb.

Of course he had received the news earlier but he wanted his grandson to come here himself.

Old Wilson led them to his study after they were all sitting down he cleared his throat. "well Racheal's parents were our family's closest friend, her father used to run the underworld once upon a time but now he was killed at an accident with his wife"

"people saw this as an accident but I know it was a well planned murder, his enemies wanted to dethrone him from his position and they succeeded, but they failed to clear off his lineage completely and that is Rachael"

" Every single member of her family were killed so I sent her to an orphanage years back and cleared everything about her existence out"...
