Chapter 21_ The truth 1

Old Wilson looked at his grandsons to see if they were following him before he continued. " but unfortunately I lost touch with the orphanage after she was taken to another orphanage, I'm sure they might have found out about her".

Brian let out a long sigh " and that person is Douglas, but why dragging her into our mess?" Brian questioned.

Aidan met his grandfather's eyes, he could sense that his grandfather was hiding more than that. "spill it out old man".

Old Wilson waved off his grandsons, he has said enough for today. if Aidan knew the whole truth it will be bad.

"I have said everything I know already, now go and save her".

Aidan sized his expression, he knew that old Wilson was hiding something.

Now it was left to him to find everything else, so he jerked up to his feet heading to the door but stopped hearing old Wilson's words.

"I told you, you might be a mafia boss but you still have a clear conscience to do the right thing".

Brian felt confused and left out, old Wilson then turned to Brian "was it really necessary to bring the entire cars you own into my building? too dramatic".

Brian rolled his eyes at his grandfather's words, of course that was his idea. "but it looked cool anyway we are set to go and save sis in-law".

Brian blurted he felt the intensity of their gaze on him especially Aidan. "umm this is awkward" he muttered smiling sheepishly before dashing out for his dear life.

"he is not wrong you know" old Wilson added.

Aidan left the study in a hurry his grandfather was getting on his nerve, he doesn't know why but if he ever wanted to be in a relationship it would definitely not be Racheal.

Perhaps because she is too weak and calm, if he ever wanted a relationship then it would be a strong lady not some emotional drama queen.....

Racheal banged the door continuously but nobody was coming to her, her eyes were swollen already from crying.

She crotched down at a corner, she knew lyra must be back by now, she would be so worried.

She heard the unlocking sound of the door, it was Douglas he stepped in with a food tray in his hand, he bent beside her and placed the food tray in front of her.

Racheal choked back in tears "Marcus what is going on? and why are you doing this? please tell me".

Douglas raised his hand to pat her head but she avoided him, he stood up abruptly massaging his temples.

"Racheal there's a reason I'm doing this, please don't put me in a tight spot". he tried to explain.

"tell me, I don't want to be here anymore".

Douglas bent again and embraced her, she was trying to pull away but he wasn't budging.

"please calm down, you can't leave now".

When he saw that reasoning with her was impossible he sedated her again with chloroform.

He watched her peaceful face that was sound asleep how he wished to tell her everything but he didn't want her to worry unnecessarily, he knew Aidan must be tracking him by now. how will he explain his intentions to them?.....

Aidan peeped at his wrist watch it was past four already and he was getting impatient, Brian creased his brows seeing his big bro getting worried, he wondered if it was because of Racheal or because Douglas was on the loose.

"If you stare at me one more time then kiss goodbye to your eyes" Aidan commented staring at his phone.

Brian gulped and faced away, Aidan creased his brows "stop the car" he ordered and the car came to a halt.

He was getting impatient now, what is Douglas up to, he flew away with her in a helicopter but his location is just a few distance away from his current location.

It was an old warehouse not too far from them, Brian tried to read Aidan's expression but gave up seeing it was impossible.

"something is wrong, Douglas isn't far from here" Aidan mumbled.

"is he trying to mislead us or this might be a trap!" Brian added.

Aidan let out a smirk, he likes it whenever his enemies think they were smart, Brian was quite perplexed because his cousin was having a good time with all of this.

"then we will fall for his silly trap" Aidan commented stepping out of the car.

" call for backup immediately" Brian ordered and came down from the car, his cousin was something else.

How will he just walk into his enemies den without sneaking in, rather he walked in as if it was his own house.

Douglas felt his heart beat increased when Aidan and Brian came into the warehouse, he shuddered slightly because of the glare Aidan was sending to him.

"why are you sweating now? come on at least be happy before you die" Brian jested.

Douglas took a step forward to explain himself but he received a punch that knocked him over a table.

Aidan picked him up pointing a pistol to his head, "Brian search for her" he ordered and Brian left immediately.

Aidan felt something was off with Douglas, he wasn't even putting on a fight, none of his men even came forward to fight him off.

Douglas touched his bleeding nose and groaned in pain "what is going on here?" Aidan held his neck strangling him.

Douglas coughed terribly "first let me go I'll tell you the truth" Aidan raised a brow and let him go.

Douglas took in deep breaths "come on why are you hurting me? I saved her life if I hadn't gotten to her home on time she would have been dead by now".
