Chapter 36: Last-minute Meeting 2

*Kusanagi Ken's Perspective*

"So how did you get here?" Lein asked

"I was studying how the Church created a portal to teleport here. Well, it wasn't easy but I was able to recreate the portal to bypass their bounded field" she answered

Lein sighed heavily again… he is sighing a lot today

"Why did you come here yourself?"

"Of course, I want to see senpai myself"

And Lein sighed again "For a genius, you are really a fool aren't you"

"Tehee~"

"Well nothing we can do now… I'll talk to you later"

"EHHH!! Hehe, a solo conversation with Senpai? Hehe I will not pass on that" She smiled holding her cheeks waving around in excitement

"For now sit down" He said

"Roger that, Senpai!" she went ahead and sat next to Lein

"We went off the way the topic but I would like to return to the original plan" Lein said and everyone kept on listening

"We only have one goal in this final battle"

"To win" Everyone replied

He nodded "As of now, the servants on each side are equal…is what I would like to say but"

"Assassin of West joined us" I added

"Now we have the advantage in numbers" Lein explained

"But that won't do anything against Saber" Emilia said while chewing some cupcakes

"That is true" he agreed "That is why this will be our plan" he once again placed magic stones on the table the same he used to explain the Grail War to me and Haruka. But this time the stones are not just round. They are now figures that are designed to correspond a certain class.

"This was better than before" I praised him, looking at the mini figures.

"I am a philosopher and an alchemist you know?"

"So what are you going to do with this?" Everyone gathered at the table looking at the figures

Lein then raise his hands a little and sands started to form on the table. They slowly gathered themselves and created what looks like a fortress. It doesn't have high walls but it is one big fortress with large beams and pillars.

"This is the enemy's base" Lein said after the last bits of sand stopped moving

"Hmmm… so they are living in a fortress" Lancer replied

"Wouldn't that be a problem for us?" Li Jing replied

"Nope" Lein answered

"Because we can attack from all sides" Emilia explained

"I see"

"Divide and conquer huh?" Kiya said

Emilia nodded her head

"But wouldn't it be bad if we had a bad match on our opponents?" Li Jing asked again but this time redirected to Lein

"It is fatal. But not if we have a way" Lein answered

"We are the attackers this time so I guess they will be the ones to decide who to send" I replied

"Keke. But Lein here has a plan right" Lancer glared at Lein

"Here" Lein threw a scroll at Lancer. He caught it with ease and opened the scroll.

"This is???" *Poof*

Lancer vanished the instant he opened the scroll… Oh, in the spot where he was a stick appeared.

"Transportation scrolls?" Emilia said

"Bingo, Emi"

"So where did Lancer went?"

"Somewhere downstairs" Lein replied

"He will be back soon"

Soon after stomps was heard and the door burst open "YOU DARE SEND ME DOWN THE TRASH!!!" Lancer shouted in rage his canines are showing

"Woah? You were brought there?" Lein asked with an innocent face

"YOU!"

"Okay okay calm down" Lein laughed "It might be because the broom was in the trash"

"You think that is enough to fool me?!?" he shouted

"Haha I guess you weren't an idiot"

Lancer brought out his staff. Is this is 'spear'? He then pointed it to Lein.

"I will give you a serious beating"

"Woah! There calm down Lancer" Lein raised his two hands in response to Lancer's threat.

Lancer kicked the ground and launched a quick thrust at Lein. Lein smiled.

*BANG* "Wha?" Lancer reacted. Lancer's staff was suddenly deflected by a mysterious barrier.

"Tch." Lancer retreated "So this is why you provoked me"

"Thank you for your cooperation, Lancer" Lein smiled and stood up "This will be our second hidden weapon"

"The 'Golden Shield: Aegis'" Emilia finished Lein's sentence.
