Chapter 35: Last-minute meeting

We all gathered in the living room. Every master of the East has arrived.

Except for Haruka who is still nowhere to be found… Kiya and I arrived early, Park Binna also known as Luna the Master of South Korea and her servant Rider, Li Jing the Master of China, and Master of Archer: Wei Boyang, Lancer and his Master? Wait, where is his master?

"Uhm… Lancer, where is your Master?" Luna asked

Lancer was leaning on the wall near the window. He is carrying a staff longer than him and still wearing his cloak. "My master wants to remain anonymous" he replied with a smile that can be seen on his face. He was wearing his hood so only his mouth part can be seen.

"Your master is really conservative" Li Jing replied, crossing her legs and showing dominance.

"I don't think so…" Lancer replied

"You really shouldn't bully him, little Jing" Lein arrived

"I am not bullying him, teacher" Li Jing replied

"Yea yea, enough excuses" Lein exerted dominance.

"So? Why the last-minute meeting?" I asked

"Well… we will be the one to attack the enemy so I guess having a plan would be great for us" Lein replied

"Wouldn't it be better if we went on defensive here? We've already placed a lot of defensive measures in this town" Li Jing asked again

"There will be a lot of casualties if we waited here" Luna answered

"Bingo for you Luna!" Lein clapped to praise her "We can't have innocent people die for us you know?"

"We will be at an obvious disadvantage if we attacked them" Li Jing countered

"We can actually fight better if we attacked them" Lein replied

"But won't that destroy our formation? I mean, if we fought against someone we will be disadvantaged?" Li Jing ranted again

"You are worried that you will be fighting against their Archer, right?" Lein replied

Li Jing was hesitant but replied "It's not like that…Boyang can surely win against him…the problem is…"

"Their Archer is someone close to being labeled as an immortal" Lein answered which Li Jing nodded silently

"Well the same goes for Rider and Assassin…the both of you will have a lot of trouble just to defeat him" Lein added

"I only saw him once… but he was wearing a military uniform right? And was using a bow? That's quite conflicting" I asked

"What is?" Lein asked

"If he is wearing a military uniform…then maybe he is a hero of the late 18th century or early 19th century? Maybe around the time of World War I or World War II… if he is from around that time frame then…using a bow at that time is something only a fool will do" I answered

"Well…that is true. But you are wrong"

"What do you mean by that?"

"There is this one crazy soldier who refused to leave his Longbow and Broadsword. Saying that a soldier without his sword is a fake one or something like that"

"Was there really an idiot like that?" I asked

"He might be crazy but it is not wise to call him an idiot" Lein answered "The one you called an idiot is a person you should never belittle" Lein laughed a little

"So? What is his name?" Luna asked

"John Malcolm Thorpe Fleming Churchill also known as 'Mad Jack' was a British officer who fought in World War 2. He was a soldier who fought and won his battle using his longbow and broadsword"

"Is there such a character? Or is he from a novel or something" Li Jing asked

"It sounds crazy but he did exist during the World War II. It is not an exaggeration that he is a hero of hope in the times of Hitler's invasion of the lands of Britain"

"Then he is famous…"

"But why did you say that he is nearly labeled as an immortal?" I asked

"Mad Jack's Noble Phantasm… 'Will ye no come back again'"

"And… how does it work?" I asked

Lein sighed heavily

"To answer that" A girl burst open the doors. She was very cheerful and was very familiar to us "Mad Jack's bravery and being a war freak at that time gave him many recognitions. Lein sighed heavily again "So why are you here?"

"I am here as you support, Senpai!!!" she raised her hand saluting to Lein "Emilia Eckhart of the Logistics Department. Now reporting to duty!!!" she smiled and winked at Lein
