Devotedly Yours - Bound by heart and vengeance

The sky was engulfed with the dark clouds while the scanty rainfall filled the air with gloom and despair.

In the graveyard sprawled over acres of mountain, many luxurious and limited edition cars stood over the either sides of the road while the people dressed in black clothes stood under their umbrellas, watching as the priest continued the funeral.

The sudden death of the president of Danvers corps, Mr. Danvers and his wife, Mrs. Danvers has left everyone in tremendous shock.

It created a huge distress among the employees of the company and an even more confusion among the executives and the shareholders.

As their death was all of a sudden, nothing has been settled down. The future of the company is literally a question mark. After all, the CEO/President and the Vice President have passed away!

If everything would have gone well, today would have been the glorious golden jubilee of Mr. and Mrs. Danvers' blissful marriage and as well as the 45th anniversary of the company the Danvers couple started together.

However, fate had other plans for the old couple. It didn't want them to enjoy the retirement they were planning to take after this anniversary.

On their way back from their business trip, Mr. Danvers had a sudden cardiac arrest.

And, a little after he was taken to hospital, he was confirmed dead.

That sudden news has shook Mrs. Danvers to her core. She couldn't accept the fact that her husband is no more.

She loved her husband more than her own life and after living with him for many years, his demise was too much for her to handle.

Being not only a cardiac patient who had already been through a surgery she was also an asthma patient with weak body constitution. Her husband's death has only made things worse.

Even the top doctors couldn't save her. Just like this, the wealthiest couple of the country met their demise overnight.

While the funeral continued and everyone was occupied attending it, a little far from the crowd stood a lady in her twenties.

Cladded in black with the scarf covering her face, she stared at the crowd with refined indifference. Her grayish blue eyes are calm as sea; however, her clenched fists giveaway the restlessness she is feeling inside.

While she was occupied by her own thoughts, what she hadn't noticed is the bunch of people who are secretly guarding the graveyard.

"Chief, there is a young woman hiding behind the tree. Her actions look suspicious" a shadow guard who noticed her, whispered into his ear piece.

"Keep an eye on her and inform me if she makes a move" Robert, who is their chief ordered and looked at the man standing beside him with an imposing and intimidating aura.

After contemplating for a while, Robert decided not to bother his boss whose eyes have not left the sight of coffins that were being buried.

His boss might not be the grandson of this old couple, but for them, he is no less than their own grandchildren. Likewise, his boss has alway cherished and treated the old couple as his own elders.

Although he looked and acted normal, Robert knows better than anyone that this is merely just a silence before the storm.

The death reports of the Danvers couple have not convinced his boss into believing it as natural death.

Though the postmortem claimed that it's a natural death, he on other hand, is suspicious that it could be the other way around. The reason for his confidence over it, is because Mr. and Mrs. Danvers were very restless and stressed out recently.

They said that they wanted to make a huge announcement on their anniversary and they believed that this announcement will change the future of the company as well as their family.

However, they were nervous and scared at the same time. Not to mention the little accident they had a few days ago.

This could not be a mere coincidence, right??

This is the reason why there are many guards planted in the premises. They are here not only to look for the suspects but also to keep Danver siblings safe.

He promised Mr. and Mrs. Danvers that he would look after their grandchildren.

Robert sighed and took a quick glance at the young lady in her twenties and her teenage brother who were standing in the front row.

Not only are these grandchildren still kids but they are also impotent and a great disappointment to the old couple.

The young miss Adrianna Danvers is a good for nothing spoiled brat who just knows how to live off her grandparents while the young master, Kyle Danvers is just seventeen years old on whom no one had high expectations.

He is an average high school student with mediocre abilities whose mind is filled with nothing but video games and friends.

Soon, the funeral ended and everyone started to leave after consoling Adrianna and Kyle for their loss.

But, the girl in black continued to stand behind the tree, her focus solely on Adrianna and Kyle, obvious that they are her targets.

This made the shadow guards even more alert that Robert had no option but to inform his boss about the mysterious girl.

"Capture her." Robert heard his boss's cold and icy voice.
