"Ms. Lopez will be sending you the mail everyday and if there is anything to modify, then ask her to come. Wouldn't it be more convenient?"

"Like this Ms. Lopez would be able to focus on her other works as well" Allen, who just entered the office, said.

"Sorry for eavesdropping. I was about to knock on the door and happened to hear the conversation. I didn't want to interrupt, so I came straight inside." he added.

Aiden snorted and sneered inside while Kyle looked at Aiden and Allen who were having a silent eye fight.

'What's wrong with these both?' he thought inside.

Anna rolled her eyes at Allen's shamelessness and sighed inside when she saw Aiden's sullen look.

This is going to be tough on her!!

"I will be going back to my work." Anna quickly said and slipped out of the room before it got any more suffocating.

'I want the detailed summary on the charity event and the guest list attached with their personal, professional and also the hidden details immediately. You have a day to finish the task.' Anna texted one of her contacts as soon as she returned.

'List out the guests who have intention to approach Danvers corps and send me everything related to them and their motives. You have one day to finish the task. Remember, every detail!' Anna texted another person.

'Shortlist the guests who would be beneficial to Kyle's progress in Danver Corps and gather the details that could help Kyle to get into their good books. You have one day to finish the task.' Anna texted that third person.

'I want someone to protect Kyle while he attends the event. Make the preparations according to it.' Anna sent this text to the fourth person.

As bodyguards are not allowed inside, she had to use an alternative.

After her grandparents' death is still a mystery and there are chances of it, being a murder, she didn't wanted to take chances with her brother's security.

In addition to that, Mr. Brown who has no other aim than to take over Danver Corps will for sure, make things difficult for Kyle.

This event is the perfect opportunity for Mr. Brown so Anna took precautionary steps now itself. He will be under her watch for the next eight days.

As Kyle's secretary, Anna ended up becoming his partner for the event.

Although he has a girlfriend, she is a student like him and it would be a burden to take care of two teenagers in a high end and prestigious event like this one.

Moreover, Kyle is already nervous and it would only increase if a similar minded person accompanies him.

The next possible person that came into everyone's mind was Ria. She is after all Kyle's sister by name. Moreover, she always attends events like these.

However, the events she goes to are not some prestigious business events like this one. They are for ladies to show off, enjoy and develop relationships among themselves.

Business events are not Ria's forte. Moreover, she is infamous for acting arrogant and sometimes ignorant. It will bring trouble to Kyle if someone tries to pick on Ria.

So, the responsibility fell on Anna. She is his secretary after all and she, acting as his partner won't create any troubles for him.

Anna's outfit was taken care of in no time. She just had to text one of her subordinates and they immediately contacted the most renowned designer Sophia who is Anna's personal designer for events like these.

So, Sophia selected one of the designs she has already custom designed for Anna and modified it a bit to match the event and started to tailor it.

It will later be sent with Anna's subordinate in five to six days.

The stylist was sent by Ria. Anna doesn't have her stylist nearby and even if she had, she wouldn't have had them come here.

Anna is someone who doesn't wear make-up much let alone attend events which focus more on appearance rather than intellect. So, she just gave the responsibility to Ria who is a pro in this.

Days started passing by quickly. Nothing out of the ordinary happened and it's already been a week Kyle took charge as interim CEO.

The old secretary was the one who attended meetings with Kyle for the past one week.

Aiden was disappointed that his ex-girlfriend couldn't attend meetings but he couldn't do anything. He is here to help Kyle or at least that is what everyone was told.

So, he couldn't interfere with Anna directly.

Moreover, the old secretary has temporarily sent her to host Allen and his team. Allen was full of praise for her in front of the old secretary.

So, Anna was spending more time on the left wing with Allen's team as per the old secretary's 'instructions'.

That gave her the time to focus on her own work. As Allen is with her, as the work partners, it became easier for them to communicate and work together.

However, her prolonged stay in the left wing attracted many jealous women. She is after all working directly with three foreign, charming and wealthy men (Allen, Clinton, Brian(Brianna).

Moreover, she gets to see Aiden, who is their Adonis. She gets to interact with him daily and that is enough to incite green fire in many ladies.

So, mostly every lady around her is not that fond of her and not that Anna cares. The less interaction the better.

Soon, the day of the charity event arrived.

While Kyle stayed behind in his office to get ready, Anna went back. This time she did go to the penthouse but she took the other road.
