Dinner with her ex and suitor.

"I have work to attend to. I have to go" Aiden told them and he was about to go but Allen stopped him.

"Mr. Fletcher, wait. I am thinking why don't we all go for dinner? After all, the company got a contract and I, on the other hand, will feel comfortable if I get acquainted with all of you."

Allen said.

When no one spiked, he employed his trump card. "I am new to this city so I don't have any friends to hangout with," Allen said, pursing his lips.

He wants to find out more about Aiden. He after all won Anna's heart and has also managed to stay in that heart for years.

He wants to understand what's so special about Aiden that it made Anna remain smitten to her ex. He tried his best all these years to win her heart but Anna always treated him like a close friend, nothing more and nothing less.

She even told him that their relationship will only get strained if he tries to bring the topic of romantic relationship ever again. So, from that day, Allen didn't dare to openly confess to her but he would leave hints then and there hoping that she would change her mind.

But till to date, she never picked up his hints and maintained a respectful distance.

"I think it's a good idea," Ria immediately agreed.

"Yes, I even want to join." Felix added, trying his best to ignore Ria's glaring eyes.

"I am Adrianna Danvers, but you can call me Ria," Ria introduced herself, extending her hand towards Allen.

"Nice to meet you, Ria. I am Allen Keller but call me Allen" Allen smiled as he extended his hand for a handshake.

Of course he knows that Ria is an imposter of Anna. He can't say that so he can only pretend.

"I am Felix Fletcher. Nice to meet you" Felix immediately introduced himself and shook his hand before Ria could even touch Allen's hand.

"Uh.. nice to meet you, Mr. Fletcher" Allen said, pretending to act awkward.

"Well, dinner is on me," Kyle announced.

"Awesome" Allen agreed.

"Mr. Fletcher, can I book the hotel then?" Kyle asked Aiden.

Aiden nodded his head. Although he is not interested and he could simply say no, he decided to go because of Anna.

He didn't want to leave Anna and Allen alone because his guts are saying that it's not a good idea.

Besides all this, he decided to talk to Anna today.

"I need to take this call" Anna announced as soon as everyone finished their dinner. They are now sitting in the private cabin which is connected to the swimming pool and a huge garden.

As this hotel is under Danvers corps, Kyle arranged this on short notice.

"Ok. But be careful, Ann. It's about to rain" Ria said but Anna had already walked out into the garden.

"So, Mr. Fletcher, I heard that you were once a CEO" Allen started the conversation as soon as Anna went outside. He didn't talk to Aiden much when Anna was there.

He could feel her anger at him even from a distance so he stayed quiet till now and only spoke to Ria and Kyle. Sometimes Felix as well but he didn't dare to start a conversation with Anna and Aiden.

"Yes," Aiden briefly answered, not bothering to extend his answer any more. He doesn't know why but Aiden gave him a bad feeling.

The way his eyes followed Anna's actions during dinner made Aiden antagonistic towards Allen.

"You were at the peak of your career when you resigned and stepped out of the business world. Why? Why did you leave something in which you are very good at?" Allen asked, trying to squeeze information out of Aiden.

It's not like he can't investigate. To be precise, his investigation left him at a dead end.

There was no specific reason nor did any circumstance forced him to leave the business world. In fact, Aiden's career at that time was in its glorious golden times. His resignation left everyone in shock.

"Yes, Mr. Keller, all my family members were shocked too. Till now we haven't got any answer why he took this decision" Felix told Allen.

"But I am grateful that he did it. My grandfather was planning to send me to a blind date with Mr. Fletcher here, but once he resigned, I got a good reason to say no" Ria said and smiled 'sweetly' at Aien.

"You are not the only one who felt grateful, Ms. Danvers. I felt relieved too" Aiden said, finishing up the last sip of his wine. He gladly reciprocated that 'sweet' smile to her.

Although Ria is sometimes afraid of him, it is only when Aiden is angry or serious. She could argue with him when he is in a 'good mood' like now.

Before Ria could start the batter, Aiden stood up and said, "I need to make a call. You guys can carry on"

As soon as he walked into the garden, he started looking for Anna.

If it's Anna who was in Ria's place, would she have gone on a blind date with Aiden?

Maybe she would have even agreed to date Aiden and marry him. It left Allen's mood sour and angry.
