Secret weapon.

Even if Aiden wouldn't vote for him, the victory will still be his because he has a secret weapon.

The foreign shareholders who always support Danvers' family will support him from now on. Although they are minor shareholders, their individual stand is equal to that of Aiden in their own countries.

Maybe Aiden will decide to support him once he sees these foreign shareholders supporting him rather than Kyle. After all Aiden's grandfather is a businessman who will weigh pros and cons before doing anything.

It must be like this. He can't take it if it's the other way around. He has, after all, struggled to convince these foreign shareholders to shift to his side.

He literally had to bad-mouthed Kyle and speak ill about grandchildren of their ex CEO (Grandfather Danvers) to get these people on his side.

At first they were hesitant but with his glib tongue and his exaggerated promises, he managed to convince them to support him.

For them, it really doesn't matter who is on the chair. All they need is profits and as Mr.Brown sounded confident, they agreed without much thought.

With Aiden and Kyle being the major shareholders and Mr. Brown the third biggest one with equal shares as the two foreign shareholders combined, their votes will change the game if combined with the other shareholders

"I will be going with Danvers," Aiden simply announced.

Some were surprised but the people had expected this to happen as soon as they saw Aiden entering the room. It is not a secret that Aiden is close to the Old Danvers Couple.

Now, the votes are almost equal to both the parties. Forty five percent are in favor of Mr. Brown had forty eight percent of shares in favor of Kyle.

The remaining eight percent which are in the hands of the foreign shareholders will decide who the CEO is.

Meanwhile, Kyle nervously looked at his sister.

One of the shareholders who have five percent shares was supposed to support them. It would have made fifty three percent in favor of them and they would have clearly won.

That shareholder was once a loyal shareholder who unconditionally supported his grandparents but he changed sides all of a sudden at the eleventh hour. And, because of this, their victory is hanging on the thread.

Anna noticed how tense her brother is and gave him a smile and blinked her eyes, the gesture she always used to do to comfort him when they were kids.

Aiden of course noticed this and he could tell that they were closer than what he expected. But what exactly is their relationship??

"You got it, Kyle. You got it'' Kyle chanted inside. His heart couldn't help but beat erratic when the video conference got connected.

These people had some emergency meeting on their side so they could only join now.

After saying their condolences and finishing with their greetings, they got into the point.

For a second, a pin drop silence etched the place and the vibes of anxiety took over the room.

Only Mr. Brown felt at ease because he already knew the outcome.

He is so confident that he will be taking over the throne of this company.

Those poor old couple, grandfather and grandmother Danvers, were so generous that they gave away shares to him.

If not because of that, the major control over the company would have been in the hands of Danvers family.

'Sorry, Kyle… I have to be selfish,' Mr. Brown thought as he mocked his nephew inside his heart while he waited for his foreign friends to vote for him and cut the ribbon for his success.

"We support Mr. Danvers," the foreign shareholders announced and it shook Mr. Brown to his core.

He didn't expect this!!

Meanwhile, Kyle let out a breath in relief.

Aiden just smiled.

He knows this would happen.

He spoke with these foreign shareholders yesterday night and convinced them to give Kyle a chance.

To secure their support, he even offered them a tempting deal which is the reason they changed their sides.

Meanwhile, Anna didn't seem surprised by this either.

It is because she ordered her people to contact these two guys and get their support by any means. It didn't take any effort to do so, given with the influence she had.

The ultimate winners here are the foreign shareholders. They got a tempting project from Aiden and an exceptional client and rare resources from Anna.

She already predicted that Mr. Brown would go to any depths to win over Kyle. So, she was one step ahead.

"With this, we end our voting. Mr. Brown here got forty five percent while Mr. Danvers won with a ten percent majority" Aiden announced.

"However, Mr. Danvers is just an interim CEO and the second special meeting will take place after six months. If Mr. Danvers still manages to get the majority he will be elected as the CEO" he added.

This brought relief to Mr. Brown and everyone agreed to it. It sounded fair enough..

Six months isn't a long term. Even if Kyle wouldn't be able to manage properly, the company wouldn't lose much.
