A Deal With Miss Becky

Silence rained on the three students as they each took turns in staring at each other, many thoughts filled Max's head as he remembered something. 'But why would she suddenly bring up the topic of demons? Isn't she afraid of being caught by the authorities?' he thought with a muddled look on his face.

Lizzy as if able to read his mind cleared her throat to draw his attention. "My sister is a turned demon. Our dad married a human wife who bore him a human child, he wasn't happy and then married another woman, a demon like us who gave birth to me. My father out of anger forcefully turned my sister who didn't want to be like us and even after becoming a demon, her hatred for us still lies deep in her blood. She hates us so much that whenever she sights any demon would go ahead and capture them, torturing them and then finally burning them alive. That's the extent of the hate she has for us," Lizzy explained and sighed at the end. She could remember the last time she met her, she had almost killed her. It was a miracle that she didn't kill her in the end but sternly warned her to not cross paths with her again. Right now, that her sister was in the school, she hoped that she wouldn't come for Max.

"What abilities does she have?" Max asked, it was important to know what an opponent is capable of doing. Although it wasn't the question Lizzy was expecting him to ask but she still went ahead to answer him.

"I don't know about the abilities she has but one thing is certain and that's her ability to dictate demons even from afar," She replied.

"So you are saying. . .?"

"Yes, she knows that you both are demons," Lizzy completed the sentence for Zheren.

"Max, what the hell are we going to do?" Zheren turned and asked Max, as it is now, he wasn't ready to die again not after escaping from the claws of death the other time.

Max who they were expecting to say something stayed muted until after some time, it was not as though he didn't want to reply to them. He too was confused about the whole thing, not only was he confused, he had no idea of what to do next. He was not yet powerful enough to be able to protect himself and talk more about his friend and his little servant. "To be honest, I have no idea what we should do," he mumbled and sighed. "For now, I say we should avoid her the best way we can," he added.

Zheren also agreed with what Max said, this was the only thing they could do and then hoped that Becky wouldn't come for them.

After the break time was over, the class continued until it was noon. The students all left the class except for the trio who was the last to leave.

"Remember what I said earlier, be careful and avoid your sister at all cost!" Max said to Lizzy in an authoritative voice.

"Yes Master, I understand," Lizzy replied with a slight bow and walked away leaving the two boys behind.

"Let's go," Max told his friend and began to walk away, Zheren nodded and followed after him. As they were approaching their dorm, Max felt someone was watching him from behind but whenever he turns around, he wouldn't see anyone.

"Hey, do you notice anything?" He decided to ask Zheren to know if he was the only one feeling uneasy.

"I don't, why?" Zheren replied. He stopped walking and looked at his friend. "Why's that look on your face?"

"Someone is following us," Max replied with a frown on his face. He hated the idea of being secretly followed.

Zheren looked around for seconds yet he didn't see anyone, he was on the verge of arguing back when a thought crossed his mind. He decided to put what he had been practising for weeks into action to see if there were any improvements. He closed his eyes and placed all his attention on his ears which were perked up. He tilted his head sideways and listened attentively.

"What the heck are yo. . .?"

"Shhh!" Zheren instantly silenced Max and stopped him from talking. He proceeded from where he stopped and continued to listen to the noises around, he could hear certain heartbeats and footsteps from around the place even a mile away. 'Surprisingly, it's working fine, just like I expected it to' He thought as a smile appeared on his face. Suddenly, the smile that had earlier appeared on his face disappeared, replaced by a frightened look.

"Lizzy's sister! What does she want?" He gasped and shut open his eyes.

"Miss Becky?" Max asked to be sure but before he could get a reply from Zheren, miss Becky had approached him.

"You two! Follow me!" She coldly said and without waiting for them to reply, she waved her hands immediately, causing the three of them to disappear from they were standing.

When the boys opened their eyes, they looked around and saw themselves in a decorated sitting room. They had a confused look on their faces as they looked around the place.

"Don't tell me. . .?" Zheren paused on his words as he saw miss Becky approaching them. She had already changed from her working wears and right now, she was wearing a tight jean trouser that hugged her curves tightly and a shirt tied at the end of it.

She walked past the boys and took a seat behind them, after carefully studying the boys, she cleared her throat to talk. "I brought the two of you here because you are going to be making a deal with me and failure to do as I said will be. . . killed!"

The two boys turned around and looked at her, it was obvious that they were upset but none dared to complain, not when they had no idea of where they are.

"What sort of deal do you want us to make with you?" Max asked.
