The lake in the mountains

Travelling through the mountains and the forests you can really appreciate the air of this world. Unlike my other world the air in a way felt polluted even from my hospital room.

The air here is fresh and only carries the smell of the grass, trees, flowers, soil and so on. The snow which sits on top of the mountains is undisturbed and shines brightly as the sun bounces of it.

If you can't tell already I'm really enjoying this new world of mine. Nothing can beat this. Being in that hospital brought only a few happy memories but loads of bad ones. My time with Tia were the best but when she wasn't there it was the same dull room and silence.

Well enough about that. Slowly I make my way through using all my senses along the way smelling for any strong beasts in the area which I can kill to get stronger. Although my strength right now is great I can still get bigger and stronger so why shouldn't I?

*Chirping* the birds of this forest sing peacefully and some even land onto my back. I don't mind though it's nice to keep company.

You wouldn't think though that no more than a few miles behind me there is a war zone and two armies fighting it out.

Continuing my way through a valley between two mountains I came to see what laid on the other side. A huge, turquoise like coloured lake resided surrounded by a ring on trees almost like they are acting as a barrier.

Slowly approaching you can imagine my surprise when the trees blocking the lake opened up allowing me inside. The lake was giving off a mystical warm feeling as I got closer and closer.

*Splash!* Stepping into the lake a warm feeling started to spread through my body. Submerging my huge body I allowed myself to float and I used my tail to propel me forward until I reached the middle.

I truly felt like nothing was wrong and I was at peace. It feels like a nice warm bath just after getting home when you were walking in winter conditions.

I don't know when but I fell asleep. I allowed myself to be taken into the darkness yet again as I laid there in the water.

As Anna slept in the water she didn't know what the water was doing nor the fact that there was a shocked elven squadron watching here.

The water in the lake is actually liquid mana and only those blessed by the Goddess Sylphie can enter. Only those blessed by the Goddess can enter this lake of mana as it helps one become more attuned to mana and it even lead to the greatest rulers rising to power.

This would explains the pure shock that the elven squad who had been following Anna were having. They immediately ran to report on their findings to the elven king and to a daughter who would be listening in on the conversation.

In the capital of the elven nation, Eldran, a soldier hurriedly ran through the royal palace where his majesty and his family resides. This solider ran with all his might to report on the information they had acquired and to get his majesty's orders on what to do next.

*Pant* arriving in front of the wooden door with gold markings and vines wrapping the frame the soldier quickly catches his breath before entering.

Pushing on the wooden door the soldier walks in while a group of curious eyes fall onto him.

In the room not only is his majesty there but also the generals of the second, third and fourth army. There is also his excellency the prime minister and the royal mage.

"Your majesty I have something I need to report, it's about the SS rank creature that had recently emerged and destroyed the human frontline."

In this world there is a ranking system in place that is assigned to beasts of this world. They are as followed:

•F rank- weakest of all beasts and are not a threat to the country, more like a pest.

•E rank- slightly more dangerous but are on the lines of livestock for a country.

•D rank- are considered a danger to small villages and adventurers are tasked to take them down.

•C rank- they and higher ranks and are usually only found in areas not populated by civilisation but if they are there will be a party of at least 4 adventurers to kill them.

•B rank- Same as C rank only more dangerous and need more skilled adventurers to subjugate.

•A rank- the last rank before a creature gains intelligence. If the creature is not dealt with by adventurers then the local army will deal with it.

•S rank- the next ranks are determined by how much damage they can cause and how intelligent they are. S rank is said to be able to destroy an entire city.

•SS rank- this rank is said to be able to destroy an entire army while also be able to use tactics to make their fights easier.

•SSS rank- this rank is said to be able to destroy a nation while fighting against multiple armies of allied nations. There hasn't been an SSS rank since the dark dragon was defeated two thousand years ago.

•X rank- this rank is still an unknown. It is said that this rank is equivalent to a Demi-god but there has never been a reported case of there being one.

Taking a look at the soldier who despite his now calm breathing, could still tell that he had rushed here.

"Proceed and share your findings. Everyone here is trustworthy to keep this information. Now continue."

"Yes your majesty" the soldier then proceeded to explain in great detail about what the creature had been doing. The soldier started from when it just destroyed the dwarves fortress to the mana lake. Each incident got a different reaction.

The dwarfs fortress incident got a laugh and a facepalm from the king but the lake incident got a startled gasp for all those listening.

After the soldier finished the king had a serious look on his face as he processed the information.

"Right good work. Take a rest here for the day then head back out to observe the creature. If it leaves follow it and report back when you deem necessary"

"Yes your majesty" the soldier gave a bow then left the room to the higher officials.

After a moment of silence the general of the third army spoke first "is this the creature that had used a dragon like breath attack on the human forces and destroyed them?"

The second general then responded shortly after "Yes. The reports said that the creature stood on two legs and was covered in beautiful black like scales. It had huge plates on its back from tail to neck. When it was getting ready to fire it's breath it's plates lit up, then it's eyes and then it let loose. After it had destroyed the human forces the soldiers said it looked pleased then roared"

*Rattle Crash!* In the corner of the room where another single door is located the sounds rang through into the room where his majesty and his subordinates are. Looking towards the door a elven girl no more than the equivalent of a 15 year old human girl was laid on the floor after she had tried to listen into the conversation.

The girl had waist long platinum blonde hair and deep beautiful emerald green eyes. Her skin is on the more fair and pale side while her body despite only being 15 is that of a very beautiful mature woman.

The name of this girl is Tia Erfaren and she is the 5th princess of the elven nation Eldran. Or as she was formally know as, Tia woods.
