Fishsticks for dinner

(Doctor P.O.V)

Some pirates gathered around the island lately and threatened to kill us all unless we paid their "taxes" or to be honest what we would call ransom.

We could not fight against them, we would simply...die. Their requests were nearly impossible to do as the bastards wanted 100,000 for each adult and 50,000 for every child!

Soon though they discovered Belle-mere's home, whomst was poor and couldn't pay for herself and her kids at the same time. Though I attempted to prevent Nami and Nojiko from seeing Belle-mere so she could survive, my attempts became futile as after I met them, they ran past me and saw Belle-mere and in their actions...Belle-Mere was shot By Arlong.

He...he took Nami due to her talents in mapping. But as soon as hope was lost a child made of...ink? appeared and started doing surgery to remove the bullet from Belle-mere's chest. I wished to warn the child of Arlong but the child seemed to not care. So he requested help to bring her back and seemingly managed to bring Belle-mere back from the dead.

(Protagonist P.O.V.)

I managed to bring Belle-mere back from death as she gasped for air and opened her eyes in shock as someone from behind appeared that I did not notice.

"Mama!" yelled out a blue-haired girl

"What just happened I thought I...died?" said Belle-mere questioningly

"Belle-mere you are alive! We thought we lost you for a minute" Said the doctor with a bit of disbelief and relief in his tone

"How am I alive Doctor?" Belle-mere spoke as she embraced the blue-haired child in her hands

"Some random kid appeared and did some surgery on ya I guess," said the doctor

As the doctor said that Belle-mere turned around to see... no one? she couldn't see any child or person that could have helped pull surgery on her except for small footprints covered by ink.

Yet I was running towards Arlong park, I needed... no wanted to kill and eat Arlong, it had been long before I could have eaten some good food and human meat just couldn't cut it anymore. I was gonna eat some fishsticks for dinner.

I could smell them for miles away. Six Fishmen and a human with the smell of citrus on its body. I simply could not wait as I leaped and snatched the girl from the hands of the fishman and threw her towards the forest. She was needed for Luffy's adventure.

"Huh? where did the girl go?" said one of the random fishmen

"what do you mean where did she go I swear she is right there...Everyone split up we must find the human she is very valuable!" yelled out the saw nosed fishman.

As I stalked the fishmen, one entered my vicinity. Quickly I swung my tentacle at him and peirced his throat after hardening it by using Life Return to make my blood, muscle and bone denser in my appendages.

Though what happened was not something you would expect. Instead of his being cut off, it was ripped off meaning that i had enough power but not enough control over my devil fruit to be able to sharpen my body parts.

Thankfully the corpse made no noise as it fell down silently as I repeated this action with four of the fishmen, leaving two fishmen left. Hatchi was one of them and the other was Arlong, Though I had eaten the corpses of the rest of the fishmen Arlong could still track me down by smelling the blood in the air leading to my position.

"OI! You little brat what did you do to my men?!" Yelled out Arlong as I imagined him as fishsticks.

"...Food..." My slave mark was openly shown to them as to display indifference to them. Despite wanting to eat them I could not as I simply couldn't take neither Arlong nor Hatchi in a head on battle as I would simply fail to outspeed Arlong's "Shark Dart" and Hatchi's 8 Sword style techniques.

I knew that Arlong was a slave prior to Fisher Tiger's attack on Mariejois, same with Hatchi so I did this along with the octopus appearance to play with their morals a bit.

"...An escaped slave?... I didn't know one of them still had the will to live" This quite shocked me as Hatchi was the one who said that but then it made some sense but Arlong was having none of it.

"Why do I smell the blood of my men on you and my particularly...your mouth?"Said Arlong as his eyes were shadowed by darkness

"Me...Hunt...Food...You" Damn my underdeveloped vocal cords. That came out wrong but I couldn't really do anything to stop it so I internally shrugged and sharpened my tentacle to the max, hell even to the point where I condensed the Inky tentacle so much that it looked like a literal needle.

Shooting my "Needle" towards Arlong's throat I wanted to end his life painlessly to not let him pull off random stupid bullshit this time around. Though hearing a crunch was not something I expected to hear I saw Arlong Biting my Needle with his mouth aiming his gun at me, Suddenly I got a lightbulb moment as I forced my Ink to stop condensing and to expand like hot water. This made my tentacle burst and cover the entirety of Arlong's insides with ink and by making it expand I believe I Destroyed his digestive and respiratory system with my ink. Though it could not burst through his skin as it was hard as a rock but now I could consume him from the inside.

Hatchi shocked at my actions prepared to fight but was even more shocked as I told him

"You...No...Food...Tentacle...Brother...."
