Roger & Whitebeard

After we all narrated the possibilities of Olvia's findings, we all made a promise to remain quiet until she could find more information. Nico Olvia's goal had always been to spread the truth, and the complete truth; so it was counter-productive to detail their current findings.

As a result, it led to us breaking up the meeting and going our separate ways, for now at least. She was going back to Ohara first to check up on her daughter before starting another search for another Poneglyph. On the other hand, we would be sailing right back to Whitebeard's ship; we really didn't have anything to do, so hanging out with Whitebeard didn't seem to be a bad idea to be honest.

However, before we left the island, I had the crew members patch up her ship as much as possible. At this point of time, I slowly came to consider Nico Olvia as a close friend. Hell, I would have gone as far as considering her as family. Moreover, I think Stussy thought the same as well, so it was only reasonable to help her the best way we could.

The process of fixing up their patches took a couple of days. It was during those days that Olvia decided to narrate some other odd experiences that she had while she travelled. She also made it a habit to narrate the things that her daughter liked, or at least what she thought she liked. It almost felt like she was preparing for her inevitable death, but I remained indifferent to this. I had made it a habit to always keep the family's well-being in mind. Nico Olvia was simply someone who was going to face the consequences of her actions, and there was nothing I planned to do to stop that.

We eventually parted ways, and it was during our sailing that we had coincidentally met up with Whitebeard. He was travelling near the border to Linlin's territory when one of my crewmembers had spotted him. We immediately sailed towards them and started following them.

The Moby Dick was always a ship that loved roaming around the seas of the New World. We never really had a clear direction that we would want to go while onboard. Except, of course, the times we were rushing into conflict with different enemies.

I remained lying on my couch as I left Stussy to go and have a chat with Toki, who was on the Moby Dick that Whitebeard had been in. The other Moby Dick replicas followed close by as we all continued to eat and drink our hearts out while aboard.

Marco and Namur decided to pay me a visit while we sailed. To be more precise, it was Namur who wanted to pay me a visit. Marco was just there for moral support, it had seemed that the Whitebeard Pirates were intimidated by me, although I was supposed to be their 'big brother'.

Namur bowed his head slightly before thanking me for saving those fishman slaves. I could only say that it wasn't anything special because I had nothing to do with it. Regardless, he thanked me before leaping into the sea and making his way back to one of the Moby Dicks.

Marco on the other hand, decided to remain on my ship, and he promptly grabbed a cup of booze to drink while he told me how they managed to subdue Sakazuki. Also, he narrated a strange encounter he had by a young certain purple haired individual. Marco hadn't seen him as a concerning opponent, but he did still knock him out regardless.

While we chatted, we eventually spotted an island nearby. Whitebeard wanted to stretch his legs a bit, so he decided that we would be docking there for a bit before we left. The rest of the crew immediately complied and promptly began to sail towards the island at full speed.

The main reason for this was mostly because the crew had gotten used to celebrating everytime that they would dock on an uninhabitated island. The members were probably excited to get the party started, so they were immediately trying to push the ship to its limits so that they could arrive there as soon as possible.

However, the crew began to notice some strange happenings along the shores of the island. There would be constant rumblings happening on the island, and a lot of animals seemed to be running amok from the depths of the forest. It was almost as if they were running away from something.

I was curious, so I immediately expanded my Observation haki so that it could cover the entire island. However, my haki seemed to be noticed by two individuals who were on the opposite side of the island. I smiled as I recognized the familiar aura of the two individuals; they weren't alone either, They were also accompanied by a group of individuals that were nearby.

I decided to remain quiet and let the rest of the crew figure out what the surprise was. We immediately docked our ships and laid feet on the island. I also grabbed Labrys and went down with the rest of the crew as well. It was only then that I heard a rowdy Oden yell in excitement as he leaped from the deck of the Moby Dick, and land on the beach.

Oden wasted no time rying to detect the source of the disturbance that made the animals flee by running right to the source. He was immediately followed by Marco and some other pirate members. However, they couldn't have hoped to catch up to someone like Oden.

Stussy remained on the ship, I presumed that was because she wanted to keep Toki and her kids safe from what was going to happen. Meanwhile, Ken was currently standing next to me with a rather anticipated expression, it seemed that he was also curious as well. I tried looking around for Whitebeard, but I only managed to see him high in the sky, also heading towards the middle of the island.

I sighed aloofly before starting my walk towards the island. I had also taken this time to ask Ken a pressing question that I had been entertaining for quite a bit.

"Do you ever want to eat a devil fruit?"

Ken immediately stopped in his tracks before his eyes shone in a glimmer of admiration. I decided to immediately quench that forming assumption before he went overboard with it.

"I don't have one. So just answer the question."

"Well Commander, I do want to have a devil fruit so I can increase my combat capabilities. I just don't know whether the one I'd eat would actually give me the power that I need to get to that level," Ken answered thoughtfully, but I could sense traces of dissapointment within his words.

It wasn't like he was completely wrong, Devil fruits were notorious for having the most random of abilities. Hell, I didn't even know what kind of powers I would actually get from eating mine; nonetheless, I still decided to take that risk; after all, you miss 100% of the shots you don't take.

However, I did put his words into consideration.

Maybe it was time to go and get it.

I'm going to address this one last time. I will not be making a harem out of this novel. Besides, Nico Olvia still loved her husband for her to start following his dream. Why would I want to ruin a good character plot like that?

Let me know what y'all think!!!!!!

Love y'all!!!!!!!
