Messing Around

Landing on top of the skull of Onigashima, I enjoyed the winds that the height of the giant skull had given.

I could tell that Kaidou had already sensed my arrival. So there was no need for me to get down there and bring him out. Even now, I could hear his rumbling footsteps as he slowly walked up to the top of the skull. 

On the other hand, I could also sense countless pirates that were gathering near Kaidou as he was walking towards here. It looked like my arrival had triggered an alarm of sorts when I landed, or it could be just Kaidou notifying the crew that I had arrived beforehand.

Slowly, but steadily, I was beginning to see pirates assemble at the top of the skull. Kaidou led the group accompanied with the young King and Queen. Kaidou seemed to be in a great mood, whereas King and Queen had shown signs of caution and apprehension as they all stared at me.

"Wororororororo!!! It's been a while, Boris!"

"It has been, Kaidou, how've you been since the battle?" I asked casually.

"I've been getting better, Boris! I've been getting more and more stronger these days. Will you be able to keep up?!" Kaidou said before letting out a wave of Conqueror's Haki.

I simply let out my own and let it clash with Kaidou's. The moment our two Haki's met, we had immediately began gauging each other's strength. 

Sure enough, he had been getting stronger since we had last fought. I wasn't sure how strong he had been when Luffy had fought him, but it sure as hell felt like he had just reached his prime.

Bringing my own Conqueror's Haki back, I couldn't help but let out a small smile as I looked at him.

"You're not lying, you have gotten stronger....is it going to be enough?"

Kaidou gripped his Kanabo as his battle intent flared. His smile was all I needed to know that he wasn't going to be a walk around the park. Or at least, that's what I had hoped.

Back when we had been fighting in Tottoland, I wasn't even able to go all out because of how weak he had been compared to me during that time. 

"Kaidou, let us get at him first!" The young King immediately proposed as he stood in front of Kaidou with his sword drawn.

"Yeah! I think we can wear him down a bit before you get to him," Queen also agreed as he readied his mechanized arm.

"No! I won't let you get in the way of my fights! I don't even know why you all assembled here to begin with. If you aren't strong enough to withstand this, you might as well go back down now!!" Kaidou roared as he let out a bit more Conqueror's Haki to intimidate his subordinates to back down.

A majority of the pirates who had happened to be behind him immediately passed out as soon as they were hit by Kaidou's Conqueror's Haki, and the small minority that had managed to survived immediately fell onto their knees as they struggled to breathe properly.

King and Queen backed off upon feeling the pressure that Kaidou had been letting out. They wasted no time backing off and slowly making their way back down.

The minority quickly called up some help to guide the unconscious back down. Leaving me alone with Kaidou.

No more words needed to be said. We immediately rushed at each other.

Kanabo met axe as we had both coated our respective weapons with infused Haki. The collision immediately sent shockwaves across the skull. 

His strength had almost quadrupled since the last time we met. He was able to match my strength quite a bit. 

I immediately pulled my axe back before swinging it sideways. With the intent of cleaving the man right in two.

However, Kaidou immediately raised his Kanabo to block my attack. The force immediately pushing Kaidou a bit before he managed to push off my axe. 

I wasn't done though.

We immediately went about to another series of clashes as we kept clashing at different parts of the top of the skull.

"WORORORORORORORORO!!!!!"

Kaidou had been laughing the entire time we had been fighting. He had all the right to do so, he was matching my strength quite well. Even going as far as beginning to retaliate my attacks with his own swings.

He would raise his Kanabo and try to land it right on top of my head, and I would simply raise my axe's handles to block the attack and deflect it somewhere else. Immediately after, I would retaliate by sending a push kick right on his chest. 

However, Kaidou would immediately catch my kick before swinging me across the skull.

He had not only improved his strength and combat capabilities, he had also learned mine as well so that he would be better prepared for the fight. My impression of him could only grow more as the fight kept going.

As I flew, I immediately flipped before landing on my feet and coming to an immediate stop. Exerting strength on my feet, I immediately lunged at Kaidou with my axe ready to strike.

Kaidou smirked before raising his Kanabo knowingly, but he wasn't prepared for what I was going to do. Channeling lightning along my axe, I appeared right under Kaidou before swinging my axe upwards.

Kaidou immediately brought his Kanabo under him so that he could block the attack. However, the upwards momentum that I had brought with me immediately took him to the sky for a bit.

I kicked the ground before reappearing in the air right beside him. Kaidou's eyes widened slightly as he swung his axe at me, but I easily dodged it before landing my axe right on his side. 

Blood gushed out like a fountain as he crashed into the ground. It wasn't a wound that would be fatal, but it was more than enough to stun him for a bit. I summoned more lightning to my weapon before throwing my axe down on him like it was Thor's hammer.

I could see Kaidou quickly raising his guard before an explosion immediately occurred where Kaidou had previously been at. 

I immediately lunged at the explosion, and was about to land a stomp kick at where I presumed would be Kaidou's abdomen, but instead, I was only met with a swinging Kanabo as it met with my ribs. 

The attack immediately sent me toppling and crashing across the skull. I immediately got up from where I stopped before looking at where Kaidou was.

I couldn't find him where I had tried to stomp him at. However, my Observation Haki immediately screamed at me to duck, and right after I did. Kaidou's Kanabo swung right above my face. 

'Clever'

I immediately rolled backwards before landing an upwards kick right on Kaidou's jaw. The man was sent back a few meters, but it didn't stop him from recovering and attacking me again.

I wasn't able to retrieve my axe immediately, but I was able to meet Kaidou's attack with my fist. I easily weaved past the Kanabo before aiming my fist right at his face. 

I felt some bones breaking before he was sent flying across the skull and crashing deeper into the Skull of Onigashima.
