Seeing Cain consume Archangel Michael shocked the hearts of all the angels. Their leader and strongest warrior had fallen to the dark dragon, and with his demise, the last vestiges of hope were extinguished. The battlefield fell into an eerie silence as the reality of their situation sank in. The angels hovered in the sky or stood rooted to the ground, their weapons trembling in their hands. Fear, a foreign emotion to these proud beings, began to creep into their souls.
There was no hope left for them to win this battle. The only thing that seemed to await them if they kept fighting was a brutal death at the hands of the relentless enemies surrounding them.
