Silence reigned on the Void Eclipse battlefield as all eyes turned to the gory scene unfolding before them. Broad smiles appeared on the faces of Bahamut and Lady Alune as they recognized the gleaming sword piercing through the Archangel's chest, knowing exactly to whom it belonged. The blade had struck true, severing his heart, and the Archangel could not help but tremble. Using what little strength he had left, he turned his head to see who had dealt the fatal blow.
He saw the starry eyes of a young woman covered in golden runes, and his shock only grew stronger. The man had seen this woman fighting another Archangel less than a second ago. How had she managed to sneak up on him? He had made sure to seal space, preventing any form of teleportation or spatial manipulation. Yet here she was, defying his expectations and shattering his defenses.
