I have found yet another gem to my collection! 💎 Can't find any negative critice except for maybe the seemingly slow story development. But I think people should known, that this are one of those novels, that if you begin to read it... you find yourself waiting for more chapters sooner than later 😅 And if I would describe the mc, I would describe him as both calm and agitated at times, but I personally think his agitation is reasonable. Well... and if you wanna know more, I highly recommend you give it a try 👍

One of the absolute most promising novels i have read lately. The author sets a solid foundation for his magic system and we can even see character developments (although more with side characters, the MC is likeable from the very start). The MC being a cold, rational and calculating individual leads to many funny (in crude ways) and truly satusfying moments. An absolute must for anyone who wishes to read a story with credible developments in both the MC and the world he was thrown into.

More credit to an amazing author that really builds on his world with so far 400+ chps in doesnt contain an ounce of scrap fillers. Good sized arcs and well fleshed out stories and characters, truthfully the only novel that keeps me using the webnovel app which says a lotsince i really hate the recent changesto it.

I'm not going to pretend that i'm good at writing reviews, but here i go. I like the story so far, the MC shows some real growth and isn't all about justice. Instead he is very self-centered and willing to do anything to protect his loved ones. He'll torture people for information or just because he wants revenge. And although he is pretty damn strong, he isn't overwhelmingly strong. It's a nice change of pace from the OP hero MCs. The world in general is well build. The magic isnt very special but it's well written and thought out. This novel is the reason why I bought SS for the first time. All in all a very enjoyable read.

Goddamn. What a story. I don't even know where to begin. Character depth and world building are first class. Story progression is well balanced, not too fast to prevent any real depth from existing and not too slow to make the reader bored of it. The author really gives the story space to breathe. The main character is a wonderful piece of work. He is ruthless and intelligent but more than that, he is multi-dimensional which makes it easier to empathize with him. He makes mistakes and learns from them, and is one of the most human representations of an MC I've ever read. This novel is captivating and gripping even though it starts out slow at first. I would seriously recommend for anyone, regardless of your poison.

I couldn’t get past chapter 24. I’ve seen reviews saying this novel doesn’t have cliches, but then within 24 chapter we get 3 arrogant rich boys. It seems like all the females are good towards MC, while most of the males are antagonists. I also can’t get used to how the adults are accepting how weird MC is. For example, I would freak out if I saw a 5 year old child know how to build a swing, kill a giant ass boar, or know how to treat people without ever going to his magic apprenticeship. There are also a lot of places where MC is just voicing his thoughts outloud, which reads awkwardly. Maybe it’s because I came in with an expectation of a 4.8 novel, that I’m nitpicking, but i’m a bit disappointed so far. Please tell me if i’m wrong or if the writing gets better.

Why isnt your novel on the top list of all the top list on this website, or any other, man, would you publish i woudl buy your books, period. Hands down, the best novel, but really, before RI or any other of the kind, with cynical and pragmatic characters, man this is so refreshing hahaha. Well anyway, im lazying to write a proper review, jsut dig into it, it's magic, you read 1 chapter, you ends up going for the whole one sitting hahahaha. This guy and his novel are top class.

One of the best original novels, hands down. Things I love: Well explained magic system Interesting mc Interesting characters with real motivations Has a magic school Lots of non combat challenges with interesting solutions, I particularly liked the challenge of finding a good gift Emotional problems from puberty done quite well (character makes some mistakes realizes them and tries to correct with partial success) Foreshadowing is vey good, new powers and spells don’t just appear out of left field I like the nobles, though I’ll admit they do a few too many stupid things, and you would expect natural selection to make them a bit less willing to antagonize future mages, if nothing else

Fantastic story that has a unique take on peoples personalities. The character has a fantastic mix of ruthlessness and compassion. In addition to an interesting magic system.

This novel is amazing. The Story is written very well and the author is a great guy even making cool cameos. This is great for anyone who likes the serious/dark protagonist instead of that op/dumb Mc in some novels

A very good novel with excellent creativity.its not like age of adepts or warlock of the magus world but it has potential to reach that stage and it has its own unique flavor.do give it a try.i am sure you will become a fan.

Very good quality of writing. Not only well written but interesting. Only issues I have is that some situations are just too extreme. an example would be the relationship between lith and orpal. I understand that there is a need for an antagonist to move the story and that it is true how some people are just born arrogant and condescending towards everyone else but this just feels very forced to me. A second example would be between Lith and the noble he killed in the forest. They somehow meet up in the forest, get into a conflict, and noble+goons are dead. so either those situations truly does feel forced or its because i have seen those tropes used too many times in wuxia/xianxia novels that i now find it distasteful. Very good quality nonetheless and everything else was phenomenal. I do hope the quality stays that way because this is a very enjoyable read.

This Story is insane. I love the mc, ii especially love the world and the magic System and the way the mc gets stronger while being smart and not dumb like nearly every wuxia character. The only sad part of the story is, that it is way too short yet... I only needed one night to read through it....... So if somebody knows similiar awesome novels like this one, PLS point them out to me. To the author: Really really good job, you did there. Keep going just like this, do it your way with your pace so you can keep up the quality. Good luck with the job and real life ;)

I really love this story. The main character is ruthless, but truly loving and protective of those who show him great kindness and care. I like how he truly doesn’t have some special ability, only his own determination and a companion that grows alongside him. Thank you author for sharing this story with us, I hope you keep writing! ♡

“Fu*k me sideways!” By far, one of the best original novels in this site.. 😁😁😁 This story made reading originals jump into the next level.. (Inspiration kicks in within the writer in me everytime I read a chapter). Good job dear author!

If you have read yahari LN and like cynical and dark mc with dead fish eyes this is for you. Great story even if magus and magic ain't unique. MC is not the kindest MC but is more pragmatic and knows good from bad. Still needs a bit of world building since the story is just starting. Must read novel since it was able to grip my interest till the latest chapter.
