Mo Hua was immersed in the thoughts of her scary past when Chen Liam noticed tears falling from her eyes.

He slapped the back of his head and cursed inwardly. 'Stupid... I am so stupid. Why would I bring up her past again? How can I forget that it is a taboo topic for her? Ugg! I made her sad. I need to figure out something to make her happy gain.'

"Momo, I am willing to accept that Xuan guy as your boyfriend, but..." Chen Liam showed a gentle smile on his face but with a hint of protectiveness.

"But??" Mo Hua knew he won't accept Yan Xuan easily.

"You will not let yourself get bullied. You can have tears and feel sad for him but you will never have tears of pain in your eyes because of him. And you will not hide anything from me like you did in past. Is that okay?" He made his stance clear.

"I understand what you mean and will definitely try to follow every condition you mentioned but I can't assure you that about the future as it is the only thing we can't predict. But I promise that I won't hide anything from you this time."

"Okay then Little Mo." Chen Liam smiled as he was satisfied with her answer.

Mo Hua remembered something and instantly her face went pale. "Liam… She is back…"

Chen Liam understood whom she was referring to and he stared in the blank space thinking about the person who made his life miserable. Not only that she tore apart the best friends.

"I know. So, I wanted to stay by your side this time. Sorry for whatever happened in the past MoMo. I will not let the history repeat itself again.", he said with determination flashing on his face.

"Liam, she is targeting Xuan this time. Although she doesn't have any idea yet about us yet but she seems to be planning something wicked.", Mo Hua said as she tried to read the emotions on her best friend's face. She didn't know what he was feeling right now but in past he had blindly trusted that person.

"Xuan??" Chen Liam looked at her in confused expression when he was not able to relate the links.

"Yes Liam. This time its Xuan. I really can't let him suffer because of me." Mo Hua's voice seem desperate. She knew this person was vicious and can go to any extent and harm anyone to fulfil her motive.

She liked Yan Xuan and her heart ache just by the thought of him getting hurt.

"MoMo, don't worry. This time I will be more alert and handle this matter. She won't get a chance to hurt us or Xuan. Trust me okay?" Chen Liam looked at her with hopeful eyes.

He knew that he was wrong for not trusting her in past and now he was not sure whether he should even expect her to trust him.

Mo Hua nodded her head but her mind was still buried in random thoughts.

"Are you planning to tell Xuan?" Mo Hua was startled when she heard him asking her the question which she most feared.

Apart from sharing the incident with Wang Xin, this was the only topic Mo Hua didn't know how she would be sharing with Yan Xuan.

"To be honest, I didn't think about it yet? I am scared about his reaction. We have just got together and if he misunderstands the whole situation, then where will our relationship stand in this chaos?" Mo Hua replied honestly.

"MoMo, I am not saying tell him right away – but make sure you are not too late either. Before she tells him, you should let him know." Chen Liam knew how much difficult it was for her but if thought wisely, she wanted her to let Yan Xuan know sooner than being late.

Her face eyes were still filled with complex expressions. "Mmmmmmn. I will think about it.", Mo Hua replied.

Chen Liam saw the time and said, "It's getting late. We should go back now. Come I will walk you back to your dormitory."

"Okay. Let's go."

They walked together side by side. Both were immersed in their own thoughts. There was faint light from the moon glowing the street. Their walk was silent one and the silence only broke when they reached outside Mo Hua's dorm.

"Okay MoMo, sleep well. I will catch up with you tomorrow morning. Let's have breakfast together before the classes." Chen Liam patted her head affectionately.

Mo Hua nodded her head and turned to leave but then she turned back again and hugged his waist tightly.

"Liam, thank you." Tears started welling in her eyes and she looked miserable.

Chen Liam was wondering about why she was thanking him. He was about to ask her the reason when she said, "for everything you did till now. Liam ... I am really sorry for whatever happened in past as well."

"Ssshhhh. Don't cry Little Mo. I never blamed you. It was my mistake for not trusting you back then. We are good now. So please don't cry. You know I hate to see you cry because you turn pinkish red and look like a pig. I can't resist myself from laughing at you… Do you want me to laugh?" Chen Liam hugged her back and tried to cheer up her.

"You... Who are you calling pig hmm? You are pig." Mo Hua broke their hug and slapped his arm angrily.

Chen Liam let out a loud laughter and pinched her cheeks.

"Okay now go back and rest well. We will meet tomorrow as decided. And yes, don't forget to invite your boyfriend. Let me have a talk with him tomorrow. Hmmn?"

"Okay. Good Night!" She left after wishing him.

"Good Night, MoMo.", looking at her retrieving back, is heart felt pain.
