126 Present — II

(JORDAN)

"Where is she?!" I demanded.

Alec held the door open in front of me in a pair of tracks and a loose t-shirt, his hair disheveled. "Jordan?" He yawned into my face as he rubbed the sleep out of his eyes. "What are you doing here so late?"

Pushing him aside I barged into his apartment. "Where is she?!" I demanded again.

"Where is who?" Alec's voice was groggy. "Do you even know what time it is?" He shut the door behind him.

I gave him a stern, no bullshit look. "Alec," I gritted my teeth. "Where is Maddy?"

"She's obviously sleeping. It's 2 a.m. Jordan." He gave me a confused look. "What is the matter? You look like a freaking zombie."

"Wake her up," I said, walking further into his living room.

"What? What's wrong with you?" Alec followed me.
