PRESENT

[A/N: Right now the story is going back to the timeline we started from in the Prologue. Uptil now Jordan had been reading from Skylar's Journal and reliving their days together. We will go back into the story of those days after this chapter.]

(JORDAN)

'Brain Tumor.'

I stared at the words on the screen. 

My heart had stopped beating. I was so sure of it because I couldn't feel it in my chest anymore. I couldn't feel anything anymore. It was as though I was dead and the only thing that I could see in front of my eyes were those words. 

Everything else was darkness. 

And then I heard the sound of someone's voice. "Brain Tumor." The voice said. 

It was when I finally blinked and something wet rolled down the side of my face that the sound registered in my head as being my own voice. 

"She… she had a tumor in her brain?" I spoke into the silence of my room.
