Chapter 12

"Hey, Gavin Master Skywalker, and I need your help." Ahsoka said.

"Snips, who are you talking to? this was your idea, so get up here and help me look for survivors." Anakin said in the background.

"I called Gavin for help. He said to call if we ever needed help." Ahsoka replied before turning back to the communicator. A few seconds later, Anakin joined her, and they both greeted Gavin.

"Not that I'm not glad to see the two of you, but I doubt this is a social call." Gavin replied. " How can I help you guys?"

"Mater Plo Koon has gone missing at Abregado." Ahsoka explained. "We are scouting to see if there are any survivors from the mystery weapon he was tracking."

"Aren't you too supposed to be guarding a republic convoy?" Gavin asked.

"How do you know that os classified military information." Anakin responded.

"Even if I'm no longer a member of the order, it doesn't mean I don't have any contacts to gather information," Gavin answered. Not like he could tell them he remembers the TV show.

"I'm in the area, and I can take a look." He then told them."

"We are also here. We are searching the east side of the planet." Anakin responded.

"I'll approach from the south." Gavin offered."Be careful, no guarantee that that weapon is gone. Maintain radio silence just in case." Anakin acknowledged this and signed off.

Gavin entered the Abregado System stealthily, passive scanners searching for any active ships in the sensor range

"There it is, and the Droid crews too." Gavin said, watching the Malevolence try to get rid of all witnesses. His sensors already picked up a handful of escape pods with lifespans toward the far edge of the debris field. Using a tight beam transmission, he informed them to shut off all electronics and wait he was inbound to help.

As he began to move, he felt Anakin and Ahsoka find Plo Koon. it at least explained why the Malevolence was moving towards their location. It must already be investigating the droids that Plo Koon and his clones had destroyed.

Knowing that his window was closing quickly, he moved to the escape pods connecting them to the dock located by the bridge. As soon as he had clones on board, he moved to the next pod. again and again. by the time his sensors picked up the Malevolence turning around, he had rescued 5 pods. his sensors detected no more in the immediate area, and with the warship closing in, he got out quickly. 30 clones had been rescued before he had to leave. After a few random jumps just to make sure he wasn't followed, he contacted Anakin again, asking where he was to drop the clones off.

(Sublty went out the window anyway, might as well just drop them off where it is convenient for the republic.) To his surprise, Anakin asked him to bring them to his fleet. He gave the coordinates, and Gavin made the jump. Approaching, he was asked to identify himself. "Gavin Marik captian of the Tempest bringing back some clones I got a few in stable but bad condition requesting medical personnel to meet me in the hangar bay. General Skywalker is expecting me."

After gaining clearance and dropping the hatch, he insured that the engine room captians quarters and holotable were locked. There's no point in letting the Republic poke around his ship. Plo Koon, his wolf packnatured. along with Anakin and Ahsoka, all met him at the cargo hatch with the medical personnel. He showed the medics to the wounded, and they got them to the capital ships med bay quickly. Plo Koon and his troopers greeted their fellow survivors and thanked Gavin for rescuing them. Anakin wad gazing in wonder at the sleek ship.

"How did you get this?" He asked in amazement.

"Got it shortly after leaving the order." Gavin said simply.

Ahsoka couldn't help messing with her jedi master "Better than that rusbucket, you pilot Anakin."

"Keep talking, Snips. I'll shove all reports off on you as practice." He threatened good naturedly.

Gavin smiled. These two seemed more like brother and sister than master and apprentice. (That means Obi Wan has two stubborn younger siblings) He thought with amusement. Feeling the ship underway and seeing a lot of activity in the hanger bay he asked what was going on.

Both of their faces turned into scowls. "That coward grevious is moving to attack a republic medical station near Naboo." Anakin answered gravely.
