Chapter 11

Gavin sat in the botany lab on the Tempest. Surrounded by plants, he meditated while building his lightsaber. The war was rife with opportunities to mess with Dooku and Palpatine. He also had to consider a backup plan in case he was unable to stop order 66. Certain Jedi fell in last stands or were murdered especially in the early part of the war where the Jedi were just beginning to learn the ropes of warfare.

Gavin was also not sure what timeline he was in. He had the thought to contact Theawn while he was still a part of the Chiss and inquire if they knew of any threats from beyond the galaxy. Maybe if he could verify about the Yuuzan Vong, then he might have an idea boat his timeline. Disney nerfed the hell out of Star Wars, and if this was a legend timeline, then he had to gain strength quickly.

He also had to make time to go to Telos. Meetra had told him where to find the 3 unique holocrons in Atris' Temple. Plus, it was unknown how much else was hidden in that temple. Not only a jedi council member Atris had been an archivist before joining the council. When fleeing from the destruction of the Jedi after the Civil War, she took everything she could to allow the Jedi to be rebuilt. That stockpile could prove useful.

He also had decided not to call down his 1 base yet. Hoth was good but isolated, plus there were the Wampas which were already sniffing around his ship dangerous beings Gavin figures he could come back later and establish a stronger base to keep them put.

Telos was a choice. he had to go their anyway, and he might be able to use Atris' old base, but there was no telling what condition it was in. He considered Dantooine and Yavin. Dantooine was too frequented by the galaxy, and Yavin was a strong possibility, but he did not want to risk waking up Exar Kun if he could help it. Tython was a possibility he would have to go there to check. Ach-To was another, but he had no way to find it. Bespin would be good, but he would have to find an old tibanna gas platform that was abandoned to use, and he would have to be careful.

Looking at the holonet, Gavin saw Jabbas son jad been kidnapped by the Separatists and returned by the Jedi. " If this is the case, Ahsoka is probably Anakin's apprentice by now." He thought outloud.

"Excuse me, sir, were you talking to me?" SAM asked.

"No, SAM, just thinking outloud." Gavin responded. Gavin stood up and ignited his new lightsaber. A chill filled the air as the icy blue blade snapped into existence. The temperature of the blade was close to absolute zero, and unlike other lightsabers, this one would not only cut but also freeze the cuts almost instantly. Gavin still marveled at the fact that he could hold and use the blade without it harming him or causing unnecessary damage due to the cold blade chalking it up to, the Force was weird at times.

Gavin exited the lab to go check the Holonet. He had a few events in mind that if he did things properly, he could not only save a lot of lives but even weaken the Sith. Malevolence was first. If he discreetly found evidence of not only the Separatists attacking and murdering people in escape pods, but also attacking a medical station, and holding a senator that was on a mission of peace to attempt to negotiate an end to the war, how much damage could he do to Dooku and Greivous?

Besides, the Malevolence was just one ship they had other Subjugator class ships that when the Malevolence was destroyed, they held in reserve due to how expensive they were. Gavin was hoping to steal 1 or 2 of these for his own purpose. If a Droid crew could pilot it, he was sure SAM could do the same.

He found reports on the holonet of the mystery weapon destroying republic ships and leaving no survivors. He then noticed that Master Plo Koon was leaving towards the Abregado System and knew he had to get there. Walking to the bridge, he checked the sensor probes and checked that Ghost Storm was in good shape.

He put on his armor and grabbed the weapons. while he had no intention of leaving the ship, it was better to be prepared just in case. He also had the ship working on at least the N7 Helmet so that he could hide his face when he didn't want to be recognized.

Gavin had let SAM know, but how the clones had accelerated aging so they could get to the fight faster. The drawback being that it shortened their lifespan and turned them into goods with an expiration date. SAM asked for some fresh samples of blood and tissue to see if he could do anything to help them. A project Gavin readily agreed to thinking of Rex, the Bad Batch, Fives, and other clones who needed a chance at life.

As they lifted off, Gavin thought, "When the ship is attacked, I might be able to rescue a pod or 2 without being noticed then when it goes after Skywalker, I can escape using it as a distraction." If he kept his face covered and dropped the clones off at Alderaan or another port, he should be able to do so discreetly. He did not fear Dooku or anyone else, but there was no need to show his hand early.

At least that was his thought before his communicator started buzzing. Picking it up he found Ahsoka on the other end. "Hey, sorry to contact you, but Master Skywalker and I need your help."
