Pillow of Hearts: A tale between the warm hug and cold coffee

Moon Young Jae’s homophobic family considered him a disgrace and held his freedom in their clutch. Even with being obedient, he was not free from their abuse. Young Jae was almost blinded and crippled by his father when he stood up for himself for the first time. Left to bleed and die, luckily, he did have a family who wanted to save him. It was twin cousins, who were disowned long before him, who saved him. Sad and hopeless, Young Jae became curious when he met his cousins’ friend, who understood him better than anyone, even without words. Curiosity got the best of him, and he ended by handing his heart, love and soul over a plater as a price. Slowly, Young Jae fell in love with everything about and around Min Jun and eventually fell for the man. Calculative Wang Min Jun entered Young Jae’s life accidentally. He challenged Young Jae's belief with a warm smile and flipped Young Jae’s world upside down. Min Jun read Young Jae like an open book. He planned to get over the little crush he had on his seniors' cousin brother but failed miserably. Min Jun did not like the often-visited ‘frown’ between those beautiful eyebrows and even the always singing of ‘sigh’ through those sinful lips. Min Jun made it his mission to change it only to fall for everything about Young Jae. Wang Min Jun carried his share of baggage, but he was well-prepared to meet the demons from the past head-on. But Young Jae became a mess whenever his past demons decided to pay a visit. He realised he did not have to face anything alone as he has a wonderful boyfriend who cherishes everything about him. Both faced their past demons and trauma together. When a person betrayed by a family fell in love with a person who holds his family above everything, sparks flew, and hearts soared in happiness. Will their story has a harmonious bell, or would it be a sea of misery? Teaser: Files were shattered all over Min Jun’s bed, and his laptop was placed on the bedside table. It chimed once in a while, indicating a new email for him to check. The work was piling more and more as he was diligently finishing it. Young Jae walked into his boyfriend’s bedroom to witness his handsome lover working hard. "Jun Jun! Are you busy?" Even though Young Jae did not want to disturb his lover, he knew he needed some help to impress his boss. "Never for you, love. Tell you what you need?" Min Jun did not lift his head from the file he was going through, but the warmth in his voice reached Young Jae's heart without fail. "Do you have a minute to help me in reviewing my monthly internship report? I have to present to our boss tomorrow morning." Young Jae pouted as he asked. Min Ju looked at his adorable tokki and smiled mischievously. "You are brave, asking your superior to help you sneakily. I can't do it for free. I need a huge bribe to help you. What are you planning to offer?" "Be serious. You have too much work to do." Young Jae chided his shameless boyfriend, who never failed to seize every opportunity to make him moan and groan as he takes him to the pleasurable heaven. "Exactly. I have too much work to do. If I am taking my time to help you, I need something in return. Something so tempting that I don’t mind cramping lots of things later." Min Jun smiled like a devil he was as he grabbed Young Jae towards him. The little rabbit who fell into the cunning wolf's lap did not even get a chance to protest as he was devoured breathlessly. Young Jae forgot why he entered the wolf's lair altogether. Min Jun pushed the files away to make space for his little rabbit to lay down comfortably. Young Jae’s report was long forgotten as a treacherous hand started to caress him again under the shirt as a sinful sound filled the room. A Warm Jacket and A Lucky Charm

Young Jae knew what was coming his way. But that did not lessen the bit of despair pooling in his stomach. The thought of everyone would leave was strong in him. He could hear baby-doll, and Min Jun gathered their belongings that they brought with them when they came here to take care of him.

Young Jae understood that he did not want to say bye to baby-doll, but he did not know why he disliked the idea of saying bye to the boy he barely knew. They spent less than two days together, and he realised Min Jun was too much for him to handle.

Min Jun was someone who spoke words that were meant for his good. But the thought of why someone younger than him was perspective and almost sorted out got Young Jae intrigued. Young Jae wanted to know more about Min Jun, but he refused to let anyone know about it.

"Hyung! I understand from whatever baby-doll did and said, why the Moon family wants to meet Young Jae Hyung. They are worried about him. But asking if you can take your sister under your wing is suspicious. Don't get distracted with the happiness of having your sister out of that hellhole. I am pretty sure there is more to it. If you don't look into it now, it would be way too late to prevent the disaster." Young Jae's spoke to Moon Chin Hae.

A thought flashed in Young Jae's mind. He decided to confirm it when his grandfather and mom would arrive with his cousin.

Young Jae felt the bed dip slightly. His cousin and Min Jun were still talking little further away. So he realised it was baby-doll who sat on the bed. A smile grazed his lips only to slip when he realised it would be a goodbye.

Baby-doll understood his thought even without a word being expressed. One thing she disliked was goodbye. But what she despised was leaving without a bye. "Don't make a sad face Oppa. We can always call each other even though we are continents apart."

"But I don't want to disturb you. We are eight hours apart. I will not disturb you by calling when you are in class or resting." Young Jae said with a resolute.

Most of the time when people decide to study in abroad, they end up settling there. He did not want to have a false hope of one day they might meet. He wanted to sever any ties he had with baby-doll and Min Jun to avoid getting hurt by expecting.

"You think we won't meet?" Baby-dolls words caught the attention of the other two in the room. Chin Hae and Min Jun looked at the duo sitting on the bed and conversing. Baby-dolls eyes were filled with amusement. It was not directed at Young Jae but at Min Jun for the answer.

"If we are meant to meet, we will meet. I believe fate wants us to be together, and that's why we met now. Trust me. We will meet each other in the future. We will meet each other way too much. I am sure of it." Min Jun spoke those words as he walked towards the bed.

Baby-doll smiled as she was satisfied with the answer. But Moon Young Jae and Moon Chin Hae were little lost.

Min Jun's response did not leave Young Jae speechless. "I did not think that you were someone who believed in fate."

"Hey! Should I be offended? But considering we are still in the stage of getting to know each other, I will let it go, my little tokki!" Min Jun bent down and ran his finger through Young Jae's hair.

Everyone in the room noticed how Young Jae leaned into Min Jun's touch.

Moon Chin Hae was surprised. He was all set to play cupid between his cousin and his good friend. But who knew he did not have to intervene at all for them to get together.

Baby-doll was pondering over something very seriously after witnessing everything that unfolded before her eyes. 'The road is long and difficult. But not impossible' she told herself.

"Huh?" Young Jae let out in a slow voice and confusion was written all over his face.

Min Jun retreated his hand and placed it in the pocket.

Min Jun put a decent amount of distance between him and Young Jae. "I said, I believe in fate. For a matter of fact, I believe in too many things. Karma, God, and love. Recently few things added to the list. Like being insanely attracted to a stranger and now I believe that we will meet in the future and have a long journey together."

"Oh…" Young Jae said it, but he did not look like he believed in Min Jun's word.

Min Jun was at the loss of words.

"I have a favour to ask you Oppa. Will you do it for me?" Baby-doll asked Young Jae.

Young Jae answered in a heartbeat. Even for a person who believed they would not be meeting again. "Anything as long as it is something I can."

"It is simple. When we were strolling in the garden a few days back, didn't you say that your name meant you were destined to be prosperous and prosperity stays only in your name and not life? You also said in real life that you are an unlucky fellow destined to be doomed?" She asked him as she fiddled with her chain.

Min Jun sucked in his breath when he saw what she was doing. He could not believe what she was about to do.

Young Jae only nods his head as a response.

"After my mother's death, I always had her pendant with me. Everyone in the family said it brings me luck and makes my life prosperous. So I will lend it to you. Take care of it for me. I will come back to get it from you one day." She removed the pendant from her neck and made Young Jae wear it.

Young Jae wanted to refuse it, but she did not listen to him.

Both Young Jae and Min Jun was lost.

Young Jae understood that it was her way of giving a promise that they would meet again in the future. So he begrudgingly accepted the chain.

But Min Jun felt helpless. He knew how much the pendent mattered to his little baby-doll. She never let anyone touch it apart from her grandmother. Not even BB was allowed to touch it. He understood that it was her way of saying she would protect him from everything, and he is like a family.

But above all laid a clear warning for Min Jun. 'Either be serious with Young Jae or back off and don't mess with him.'

Min Jun helplessly smiled at that. He decided to take time and explore the feelings properly before he attempts to woo Young Jae.

"I will keep it safely for you." Young Jae's voice cracked when he responded. His body shivered by the overwhelming emotion.

Min Jun saw that and understood Young Jae realised baby-doll's promise to him about meeting again in the future. His hand tenderly touched the chain hanging around his neck, and the pendant was reaching above his chest.

Min Jun had difficulty in digesting everything that was happening before him.

But the shivering Young Jae caught his attention. He removed his jacket right away and placed it over Young Jae's shoulder. He went to readjust the temperature in the air conditioner.

Min Jun felt the warmth in his heart and around him. He liked the warmth of Min Jun's jacket. He almost snuggled into it like a kitten. Almost! But everyone saw the effect Min Jun had over Young Jae, and Young Jae was not even aware of it.

"You can keep my jacket at your disposal. But keep her pendant safely. Please. It is the only thing that she has of her mother. Baby-doll doesn't have anything else that belongs to her mother but this. So I beg you to keep it safe." Min Jun would have gone on his kneed and begged to Young Jae, but he trusted the other. He firmly believed that Hyung would keep the chain safely.

The information surprised Moon Chin Hae. He was aware of her mother's death, but no one dared to speak about her mother's death. As if it was a taboo to talk about.

Young Jae agreed readily.

"You have to come and meet me personally to get it back baby-doll. Then only I will give it back Promise?" Young Jae asked. He has some hope to hold on too.

She would not abandon me like others. May be Min Jun might come back for me too. Young felt refreshed all of a sudden.

Instead of answering to the promise, she hugged Young Jae tightly.

Min Jun had a whirlpool of complex emotion churning inside him. 'It is time for me to think about Young Jae and me seriously. It is no more about let's see in the future and figure it out.'

Both Min Jun and baby-doll bid a bye to them and left. They decided to spend some time with the family before bidding bye to South Korea one more time.

1557 words... wow I am amazed!

I wonder whether I should write about Min Jun's life in Germany once in a while or let him make an appearance later only. Any thoughts?
