Chapter 92 : Professor Flitwick invitation

After Professor finished explaining charms.

He asked the students if they had any questions or wanted further clarification on any of the topics he discussed. He wanted to ensure they had a complete understanding of the material before moving on to the next lesson.

"Since none of you has doubts, I'm going to show you a simple spell"

Then he took out his wand from his robe and chanted while waving it.

"Lumos Maxima"

Then a bright white light came out of Professor Flitwick's wand.

"This a simple spell which is used for light creation "

"Now all of you take out your wands and try it," said Professor Flitwick

Professor Flitwick instructed the students to point their wands at an empty spot in the room and chant "Lumos Maxima" while focusing their intention on creating light.

The students were then instructed to imagine a bright light coming from the tip of their wands and slowly move their wands around in a circular motion. The students took out their wands from their robes and chanted the spell as instructed.

However, the light ball that they were expecting didn't appear from their wands. The students had failed to cast the spell. They were surprised to see that their wands had not produced the expected magical effect.

Their wands either emit dim light or bright light that cannot be controlled. Some students' wands even exploded, startling the students and their professors. The students had not anticipated this potential result, and they were left wondering why their wands had not produced the expected magical effect.

"Wow, I didn't expect it to be hard ?" said Harry as he saw other students.

"Do you think it is easy to perform magic?" asked Alex

"Well I did not expect it to be this hard," said Harry.

"Let me try?" said Ron as he took out the wand and started chanting a spell.

Alex saw the magic flow in the wand and recognized that it was not right for the spell. The outcome of the spell will be nothing more than a little explosion

"Hermione, Harry do you guys want to watch an explosion?"

"What explosion?"

"Is something going to explode?"

"Yes, Ron's wand is about to produce a small explosion "

"What?"

Then a small explosion came out of Ron's wand, which startled Harry who was sitting beside him. Because of the explosion, Ron's face became black caused by the explosion.

"See this is what I'm talking about "

"What happened?" asked Ron with a blank face as he didn't understand why the wand produced an explosion.

"Nothing, you didn't perform the spell properly."

"So your spell became like this "

"Then you show me how to perform?" asked Ron with some frustration

"Hermione, perform the spell as you already learned the spell," said Alex as Hermione learned all the basic spells of the first year.

"Okay"

Then Hermione took her wand and chanted the spell while moving in the specific direction

"Lumos Maxima"

Then a light came out of her wand. Professor Flitwick who saw this

"Wonderful, you are the first to perform the spell "

"5 points for Gryffindor"

"Thank you"

"But Alex can perform way better," said Hermione

"Is that so ?, Alex why don't you show me that spell?" asked Professor Flitwick

Suddenly, in Alex's hand, a light ball appeared. Flitwick was shocked seeing the light ball, not by the spell but by the process of performing is what shocked Flitwick as this was the first time he has seen a first-year perform both wandless casting and silent chanting.

Even though it's a low-level spell, he knows it is very hard to perform both actions at the same time, but he manages to do it on the first day of Hogwarts. He can be called a genius because his talent is on par with any great wizard in history.

"Wow, this is unbelievable?"

"A first-year performing like this"

"What is your name student?"

"Professor my name is Alex "

"Alex, you are a genius."

"Performing Wandless casting and silent chanting at your age"

"You are considered a rare genius. Once in a century talent"

"Thank you professor for your appreciation."

"10 points for Gryffindor"

Hearing that Gryffindor got 15 points in the class, there was a commotion among Slytherin students and Draco was watching Alex fiercely.

Feeling an intense stare Alex turned his head and saw Draco giving him a death stare and ignored it since he had no time to deal with brats like Draco.

"Alex, do you want to come to Ravenclaw?"

"You know it is best for a genius like you to be in Ravenclaw," asked Professor he wanted to take a genius like Alex into his house.

"Professor thank you for your invitation"

"But I would like to stay in Gryffindor."

"Okay, but my offer is valid."

"You can come to me anytime if you want to change your house "

"I will think about it."

Then he walked towards the podium and said

"Okay students, that is all for today's class "

"We will meet in the next class."

"And also write a report on today's class "

Then the professor left the class
