Niko's frustration lingered as he gazed at the defeated game on his phone. "Damn it, why do I always lose to that damn game. That bastard must be cheating; the way I lose is so unnatural, as if he knows the position of every card," he muttered to himself.
A sudden, annoying voice interrupted his thoughts. "Probably because you suck at it," Kyle, his extroverted childhood friend, chimed in from behind. Niko shot him a glare. "What do you want, Kyle? I'm not in the mood for you right now. Get lost."
Undeterred, Kyle grinned. "Oh my, stop being grumpy and cheer up."
"Shut up. What do you want anyway? You can't just talk to me without a reason, so spill it."
Kyle sighed dramatically. "Fine, I was invited to this party, and I was hoping you could come. So, any interest?"
Niko's response was swift and firm. "NO."
"Why?"
"Dude, we're polar opposites. You're an extrovert, and I'm an introvert. Get it?"
"But isn't that fine?"
Niko emphasized, "I said NO. Even if you beg me to come, I will never interact with your kinds. Unlike you, who likes to socialize, I don't. Not because I'm too nervous to interact, but rather I only use my energy on something more productive like my future, perhaps."
"Man, you're no fun. Fine, just give me a call if you change your mind. See ya."
"Whatever," Niko retorted as Kyle left, leaving him alone once again.
Sighing, Niko contemplated his student life. "When will my days of being a student end? All I did was study, get good grades, and become the ideal child my parents want me to be."
After an hour of solitude on the bench, Niko decided to head home. Along the way, he stopped at the nearest convenience store, bought some onigiri, and ate it outside. As he finished, his eyes caught a poster of his favorite anime, Jujutsu Kaisen.
"Hmm, how long has it been since I watched Jujutsu Kaisen? Since I've finished watching the season 1 and 2 along with the movie and read also the manga I'm kinda bored on what To do now he mused, reminiscing about his lazy anime-watching days.
Lost in his thoughts, a bright light approached, accompanied by the loud honk of a truck. The world turned upside down, and the last thing Niko remembered was the disorienting chaos before everything went black.
