27 Chapter 27

In his bedroom window as the sunlight leaked in from the morning sun. Jason brushed his hair away from his eyes where he found someone clinging to him. Attached as she smiled in her sleep with her long pink hair tied up. He brushed a few stray strands behind her ear gently to not wake her.

His deep blue eyes looked her over as her tail wrapped itself around his leg. That was something that didn't really make much sense to him. A deviluke tail was sensitive, yet it could easily shatter concrete without causing them an issue.

"Lala, time to get up." Jason gently nudged her.

"Five more minutes."

"If you don't get up I will...I will...I will kiss you." Jason tried to think of something but cursed his super brain for failing him. In the end her soft looking lips which he hasn't gotten so much as a small kiss in a while surfaced.

Laughing as she rolled off the bed, Lala gave him a small peck on the cheek. "There. Now your idea is invaild."

Jason chose not to reply as he couldn't look her in the eyes. Though the small tug on his lips that curled up told he was happy. Maybe it was finally time to follow his father's advice, though admitting that the old man was right. That was a different issue that would probably end up him being teased a bit.

"Wake up you two." James knocked on the door. "Liz wants to hit the museum and maybe do a campus tour."

A silent resignation could be heard in his voice as he mentioned the last part. While he wasn't really all that worried about his son going to college. James also didn't want to start a pointless argument either as he knew Liz was just looking out for the future. Though it could be she is more worried about Jason becoming a shut-in or out of touch with society.

"What happened to training?" Lala asked since even after battling it out with Thragg, James still took Jason out for training matches which she did attempt to watch once.

In that one time, she realised that trying to fight a kryptonian is just dumb. If Jason actually tried and not really cared about if his opponent lived or died. It could be very well that Thragg could have been simply stopped in an instant.

"It will still be done, just pushed back a few hours." James replied before leaving.

"He's really adamant about training isn't he." Lala whispered to Jason.

She knew that even if she whispered or said it normally, she would be heard. The thought on the other hand of being sneaky by whispering just added to her fun. Something that just made Jason slightly shake his head as he held back his laugh.

"His goal is to prepare me the best he can to be a hero." Jason's mood slightly shifted to slightly serious. "Don't know why since I don't plan to be a hero."

While Lala raised her eyebrow at him like she didn't believe in his lies. She didn't continue the topic as she began getting ready for the day. Well she did have one thing to say.

"I'm not so sure about that one."

--

Wandering around the exhibits with Lala by his side. Jason looked on at the ancient fossils and inventions discoveries over the last few centuries. As he read a few plates that gave a brief explanation, Lala let out a small yawn.

"Is it strange that humans unknowingly display alien artifacts despite their dislike for them?" Lala whispered. "The thing called Megalodon is actually from a planet that is ninety four percent ocean. Truthfully, they are a fair bit bigger too."

"How did it end up on this planet then?" Jason smiled.

"Don't know, maybe an ancient poacher dropped it on this planet or crashed and it escaped. Breeding a couple times and bam, a new species." Lala explained with a shrug. "The universe was very chaotic for a long time as empires rose and fell throughout time. So who knows anymore."

"This sounds like a movie." Jason commented as a woman with red hair bumped into his shoulder. "Sorry Ma'am."

The woman had dark eyes with neatly maintained red hair while she wore an outfit that looked slightly out of place in a museum. Looking up at her face, Jason felt she looked slightly familiar, but didn't put much thought into it.

"No problem." The woman replied before walking off as her heels clashed against the ground.

"I bet if she wasn't covered in all that make up, she could be a beauty." Lala commented from the side.

Before he could answer, a man with short brown hair and in a suit rushed by him. Once again adjusting himself as the man basically slammed into him. Jason saw the man continue on clearly chasing after the woman.

"Is there a problem with the rest of the walkway?" Jason grumbled. "Why do they keep bumping into me?"

"Maybe they just found you too handsome." Lala jokes. "It is even effective on males."

"Haha."

--

'Why do I keep running into people that seem very familiar like I saw them somewhere before today.' Jason thought to himself.

Currently under their tour guide a woman that didn't look much older than himself. Jason actually found himself fairly attracted to her mainly due to unique hair. She has natural platinum blonde hair with green eyes.

Next to him, Lala just twirled her pink hair in her fingers. It wasn't hard for her to notice Jason's attraction to the girl leading them around. She wasn't jealous of the attraction as the woman was quite the looker if she had to be honest.

"I believe this is the end of the tour." The woman said as they arrived back at the entrance.

"Thank you, Miss Hardy." James thanked her politely.

"It was no problem. Now if you excuse me, I need to get to my next class."

"So, Jason. Any thoughts on joining this college?" Liz asked.

"Maybe." was all Jason said.

He was undecided on what he wanted to do. So, he might think about applying and just stick with the core classes. Well until he can decide on what type of degree he wants to aim for.
