28 Chapter 28

For Jason it was supposed to be an easy day of cleaning and waiting on the delivery crew due to arrive. Only, while he was cleaning the windows, a man in a red and blue suit with a spider logo on his chest decided to sit on the window chatting on the phone. So as he was wiping down the window it appeared he was wiping the man butt. So doing the only reasonable thing, he opened the window beside the man.

"Get off my window," Jason said, nearly frightened the man off the entire building.

Watching as he swung away on his webs, Jason tapped his window sill as he let out a small breath. While he had known it for a while, the world was becoming more and more like Marvel. Now even Spiderman has appeared, but hasn't been quite named yet.

"Why did we have to move to New York?" he mumbled to himself.

If the movies were anything to go by, New York was basically like the first and last line of defense. Heroes from street level to country and worldwide are all based out of it. Even heroes from other parts of the globe come and go but usually visit a few times to destroy a street or two.

'I wonder if they would be up to moving once more.' Jason thought as he truthfully didn't want to deal with it.

Why would he be happy about being in the location where the invasion hosted by the one and only Loki will take place. While he and his father would be just fine, Liz and Lala on the other hand. If luck was bad that day, it would be a miracle if they could find even a piece of them after everything was over.

After a few hours passed since the spider on the window, the buzzer finally went off. Quickly signing and giving quick directions. The delivery men began carrying a large amount of bins covered in sweat as they dropped off the storage bins. Not that he could blame them as what was ordered and they had to carry was fairly heavy for most.

"Did it finally arrive?" Lala asked as she stepped out of the shower.

Barely covered in a towel, as she only tied it around her hips. Lala stepped out into the large empty section of the lab where only Jason was standing. Where his focus instantly changed as he looked up at the sight that made him slightly excited.

"Yeah, it arrived. The poor guys looked ready to drop when they left." Jason answered as he easily lifted the first one up.

Popping open the top, inside it was revealed to be filled with sand. Pouring it into one of the three designated areas where stone walls were built up in the corners. He got to work as Lala went and got dressed to help out.

While he was filling in the second area, he looked over at Lala who was placing a couple rocks and racking circles around them. So he got a nice look as she bent over working as her clothes conformed to her wonderful figure.

"Is there an actual reason you wanted zen gardens?" He asked.

"I thought it would look nice and not leave such a large space empty. I'm sure with a few other adjustments it won't look out of place." Lala clenched her fists. "Also, I saw pictures online and thought it would be interesting to have."

"And the true reason came out." Jason commented without hesitation.

Sticking her tongue out at him in response, both just smiled as they continued to work. It took a few hours but when they finally completed their work. They took a step back to admire their work which they instantly found slightly strange.

"It doesn't really match well with the walls." Lala instantly said.

"Agreed. I think we need to repaint." Jason responded. "Shall we go paint shopping tomorrow?"

Nodding as she linked her arms around his waist as she rested her head against his strong back. Lala just smiled but all things must come to an end. While the sun was setting behind the skyline, a loud explosion went off nearby.

Rushing over to the window, they saw a black smoke rising into the air a few blocks over. Tilting his head a bit, Jason zeroed in with his super hearing. Besides the sounds of gunshots and screams, he heard a roar filled with hatred.

"What is that thing!"

"It's a monster!"

"That bastard just ripped Tony in half!"

Confused as he was a bit confused, Jason felt his phone vibrate in his pocket. On the screen Lilith appeared on his screen.

"Master, an alien is currently rampaging through New York."

"Lilith, I know. What kind is it?" Jason asked.

"The species is known as Rognarr. Known for its ferocity and being able to easily kill an average Viltrumite in the past. They have no cognitive thoughts besides to kill and since most races either don't have the strength or technology to combat them. Planets have fallen due to their rampage." Lilith explained.

Frowning a bit, he felt Lala tightening her grip around him.

"Does the Coalition of Planets mean to take over Earth?" Lala asked.

"Coalition of Planets?" Jason asked, slightly confused. If he remembers correctly it was formed to combat the Viltrumites. Now since there's only one and he is currently locked up, why was such a group wanting to wage war here.

"The Coalition of Planets in the past was to combat the Viltrumites who were rapidly expanding their empire. While at first they were greatly respected, like any organization, corruption took hold and basically picked up where the Viltrumites left off. Under their banner of bringing peace, they harvest large amounts of resources from those under its banner." Lala began to explain.

"Now nearly a thousand years later as they stripped planets bare of resources. They now conqueror planets and usually send a Rognarr or a few to initialize their coming. Daddy, had to deal with them a few times in the past and always has such a headache. Since the last battle, he has been reverted to a child due to over using his power."

Taking a moment to process this information. He could still hear the shouts and took off his glasses. From the sounds of it, he will have to deal with it or the Earth would be next.

"If you would be so kind as to hang onto these." Jason handed the glasses which Lala made for him to her. He quickly vanished from where he was standing.
