Yet another mundane day for Ling Yunlong, a budding adult who was born in the middle class to a father of Chinese descent, and a mother whose family is of an Indian descent (Hindu).
He had just finished his final exams for university, and was currently sitting on a hill overlooking the city, pondering what step he wanted to take in life.
He was born in England and lived there for the first 16 years of his life, before returning to China after his three younger sisters had reached past 5 years of age…
Yunlong's father left their family when he was 17 because of excessive gambling, leading him to steal from his own family just to offset loans.
The situation reached a point where there was no chance to settle it peacefully so the loan sharks had threatened harm to his family if he didn't return the money soon. The constant stress and fear of not knowing whether loan sharks would raid their house led his mother to make a decisive yet necessary choice to take him and his three younger sisters to a new town to be free from the negative existence known as his father.
Yunlong had lost the immaturity and happiness that he once had and had become extremely apathetic even developing borderline sociopathic tendencies (Lack of goals, caring only for his family, apathetic, no real emotions, willing to step over others so his family could prosper… no evil tendencies like lying, no empathy etc…)
The only thing Yunlong lived for is to provide financial stability for his family, however at age 20, Yunlong had tried the gambling game his father played, to see what exactly what this game that led his crappy old man to bring his whole family down was, and on his first and only jackpot attempt, he had actually managed to hit big, and won 9 million Chinese Yuan (¥).
As soon as that jackpot came through, Yunlong had actually dropped to his knees and started crying, thinking of all the hard times his mother had to go through since that fateful day, and now he could actually free her from overworking herself to support himself and his three younger sisters.
Since then, Yunlong had bought 2 houses, 1 for use and 1 for a source of income and started his own company, which his mother and three sisters can inherit once he finds his own career path, however, now that he had some financial stability, Yunlong was confused.
Whilst pondering, he had thought of what would be considered his hobbies, whilst he was apathetic, this only was towards 'reality', which is why he would often lose himself in the 2D world as it would give him the excitement that he would never be able to feel in reality.
His favourite anime/novels were the harem genre, but what always annoyed Yunlong was the fact that all these harem main characters were beta's!!! He felt like someone should strike lightning on these idiots!!!
'With women pining for them left right and centre, they still are either dense mofo's or are just plain sissy's… dammit, just thinking about it makes this daddy annoyed, why don't I have my own harem'.
Then when he thought about this, he finally understood something…
'Had I ever loved anyone?' He had always had the feeling of love towards his mother, but he wondered, 'do I truly even love my own sisters? Whilst the relationship between us siblings wasn't broken, or had a bad vibe, I've never gone out of my way to appreciate them… all I ever did was take care of them… like some sort of robot butler'
Maybe this was why he had no goals in life (Yunlong isn't religious, he believes everyone should live their life towards love, as that is the greatest thing one can have in life), thus Yunlong finally made it his mission to start finding a potential love within this month! However, just as he was finally heading towards his new path in life something unexpected happened.
Right in front of Yunlong, space itself seems to have inverted, a crack in the air appeared and now Yunlong was looking into the infinite void… his senses screaming, telling him not to move towards it.
Yet on the flip side, something was calling him… almost as if the void had seduced his soul, leading him to slowly take one step towards it, the feeling increasing until he finally reached his hands forward, until he was sucked into the crack and the tranquillity that was there in the past returned to the world.
And yet one thing didn't return, that was Ling Yunlong, as if he was the fleeting wind, his life on this Earth that he walked on, had come to an abrupt end.

When Yunlong had returned to consciousness, he had found himself within the void, pitch black throughout the horizon with only infinite darkness within his perception. After a slight dizziness, he could understand his memories more clearly…
He had turned into a retard Fan-fic MC! 'Why the f*** did I enter that space crack dammit, I had just left mother and my sisters behind just because of that stupid feeling, am I the actually the b*stard son of Eve? Was this my forbidden apple… F***… what will they do without me, I was the family backbone and although I had left behind enough for them to have financial stability for their whole life…the problem is that with my death mother may even contemplate suicide'.
At thinking this point, Yunlong then started panicking, screaming at the void…
'Return me'
'Send me back'
'I need to go back to mother'
Yet nothing happened and after a few hours, Yunlong had started going crazy, to the point where he was laughing and crying at the same time, thinking that he wasn't even a Fan-fic MC… he was just the trash that managed to leave behind his family for no reason at all.
Everything he had worked for since his useless father had left had come to an end because of something he doesn't understand, and one thing is true, humans fear what they cannot understand.
However, one thing that Yunlong didn't notice was that his soul was becoming clearer in the void, it was actually in the process of strengthening, not that he would understand at this point.
Nonetheless, this was still occurring.

It had now been one week that Yunlong had been in the void, and he had finally gotten over himself and calmed down, if anything, this experience strengthened his will.
Currently he was looking for a way out since it seemed like no one had come to help him pass on, thus he must still be alive, until a voice that was neither male nor female, was heard...
