Again, it is his fault, he gave them his blood while knowing who they are. He was being extremely stupid. But being stupid isn't a defense for any issues that your stupidity causes. Because if it was, drunk drivers would get away with murder after killing somebody while driving drunk.

it's 100% his fault. he gave his blood willingly to Hydra while knowing that they're hydra. Yet for some reason he convinced himself that they weren't going to try and clone him. Just because he told him not to. I mean, it's literally Hydra, you cannot trust that they're going to keep their word.
