Reward

Sitting around after the show discussing nothing of importance Jiro suddenly brought up the topic of where we wanted to go to high school seeing as how each of us was in their last year of middle school it was a topic that we had all mostly decided on already. Surprisingly for Jiro but not so much for the two of us we had each decided to go to U.A. the number 1 ranked high school for heroics.

"That's surprising I could have sworn you two wanted to be musicians when you grow up."

"Nope we're surprisingly altruistic, plus our quirks are pretty OP. We should be saying that to you what with your parentage and everything." Airi said in between sips of her drink.

"Yeah, it was actually a pretty hard decision for me it's just the idea of helping out others and making them happy it just seems so cool you know?"

"Yeah, I totally know what you mean." Airi agreed instantly. I also nodded my head in agreement my reasons were a little less selfless but at the end of the day I still wanted to help people. Especially a certain silver-haired single-horned girl who desperately needs it. After hanging around for another hour we decided to head home. Since it was Friday, we agreed to use the rest of the weekend to train.

More time passed and just like that, our 3rd year was almost over. There was only a month before the U.A. entrance exam. My mother was still in a coma and I was growing more desperate each day but I lost her and knew I had to be patient. I still stopped by the hospital daily to use Force healing on her to ensure she would be healthy when she woke up.

Me and Airi continued to train in the ways of the force and had both mastered a number of abilities. And today's as well we found in my backyard getting ready to spar.

"Aki how bout we do this if you can beat me, I'll give you a reward"

"Why are you talking like you always win?"

"You're overthinking it just consider it a little extra motivation; I promise you won't be disappointed," she said with a wink.

I just rolled my eyes and lowered my stance holding up my arms and igniting both my sabers from the front and behind.

"How bout we do this if you win, I'll give you a reward…ready?" I asked focusing my mind

"Readyy!" She affirmed taking a guard stance her face growing serious like her previous personality was a facade. I decided to take the lead and immediately used Force speed to close the gap. Launching a flurry of quick attacks using Form V.

To which she was forced to block. Finding a hole in my attack she quickly struck at my shoulder but I blocked. I immediately retaliated with a horizontal strike but she did a force jump and sailed above my head. I dashed after her as we quickly fell into another rhythm of blocking and attacking.

As seconds turned to minutes, I quickly realized we were getting nowhere and decided to make a feint which she fell for and launched a vertical strike at my head but once she raised her saber, I used a force push to send her flying back. But she still landed on her feet.

"Not bad," she said as she immediately used Force speed reclosing the gap.

Like lightning, she was on me using Form VII to attack me from the right forcing me to switch to Form VI to parry her blade. I followed up by attacking with my left blade I forced her to roll to the right, but in a flash, she was on her feet. Not wanting to give her time to recover I used my blades to attack from the sides, but she dodged again. Caught off guard by how quickly she moved I was forced to block when attacked below but it was only a feint and she suddenly changed direction to an attack from above with the other side of her lightsaber. Doing a backflip, I dodged her attack landing a couple meters away.

A while later we both lay panting on the ground.

"Haah… Hah.. Good spar"

"Ha.. Haah.. yeah… good spar" As soon as I replied I felt something soft on my lips. Opening my eyes, I saw Airi smiling down at me.

"How do you like your reward?"

"Mmm not bad," I said quickly grabbing her and turning her around placing myself on top of her.

"Ready for yours?" I smiled not hiding my intentions

"At least let me shower first," she said with uncharacteristic timidness

"No way," I said as immediately sealed her lips.

It was currently night and I was trying to fall asleep. Since my mom had been in the hospital, I had been staying at the Asahi household while I was fully capable of living on my own Ai insisted. Since there were only two bedrooms, I've been sleeping in Airi's room, I slept on the floor the first few nights but after that, we quickly discarded the notion of modesty in lieu of comfort. Airi was currently downstairs watching some new late-night anime.

Just as I was about to fall asleep, I felt something heavy land on my waist. Opening my eyes, I saw Airi sitting on me dressed in only dark pink lingerie that matched her eyes wearing a pout on her face.

"I want a redo I'll definitely outlast you this time." And before I could respond she pressed her lips to mine.

(Aira's POV)

I could hear Akira's steady heartbeat and even breathing letting me know that he had finally fallen asleep tilting my head my gaze fell on his resting face illuminated by the moonlight coming from the window. Snow-white hair, long lashes, and chiseled facial features like a higher power had taken extra care when shaping them. But that's not why I loved him, I was his best friend and he was mine the only person I couldn't live without we had spent most of their lives joined at the hip but she wouldn't have it any other way. Lifting up her head I placed a kiss on his cheek.

"I love you" I whispered. Suddenly a pair of arms wrapped around me pulling me close to him as our legs interlocking.

"I love you too" I heard him whisper back eyes still closed before falling back asleep. Feeling happiness permeate deep within me I soon joined him as I closed my eyes and my breathing slowly became even.
