108 Waking up

Ryan sat on the chair, rubbing his temples in frustration. It had been such a close call. A demon had attacked not only Zara but also Alice. Two girls that he loved more than anything else. Of course, Alice wasn't someone to get intimidated so easily. However, after his mother's sudden demise, he had become extra cautious about leaving his sister alone.

He had left for only a few hours and some lowly demon had dared attack his loved ones. His fingers clenched and unclenched and the veins of his hands were pumped. He wanted to find the culprit and give him a slow and torturous death.

Now, he only sat deep in thought, frustrated with himself. Nothing bad had happened, but he always felt guilty when it came to Alice or Zara.

Jake spoke after some time, giving Ryan some space to cool off. There was a question lingering in his mind.
