14: End Of The Final Selection

Itsuki stood up high among the trees as he observed the battle below, tanjiro had finally defeated the hand demon, saving many people in the process.

itsuki was the same, he had saved many people here, but he also felt strange, if these people were close to dying so easily, would they still become demon slayers even if they managed to survive? that would be just like feeding cannon fodder to the demons to get stronger

after tanjiro killed the demon, itsuki finally revealed himself, after some quick talk they decided to kill demons till the final selection was over, afterall there was only one day left now.

a day went by very fast actually, and itsuki managed to reach level 20, but this time something strange happened.

just like that, the final selection had ended, itsuki and tanjiro walked calmly out of the gates, the others didnt look so well.

lunar split, he hadnt tested it yet, but his instincts told him it would cause a huge scene and this wasnt the right place to do that.

there was actually 7 people, two which had been saved by itsuki a few times, they could only look at him gratefully, they probably didnt want to be demon slayers anymore, afterall it was too dangerous.

zenitsu was on the verge of traumatization, itsuki felt like smacking him in the head with his sword.

"what do we do now?" everyone ignored the scared zenitsu, they were all confused, only itsuki had a never changing smile on his face.

the black and white haired twins went over all of the demon slayer ranks first, before informing them that they have to pay for the uniforms, which to itsuki was total bullshit.

"from now on the kasugai crows will be following each of you and informing you of demon attacks near you" as she said this a group of crows appeared in the skys.

everyone ended up getting their own crows, they werent all the same, for example zenitu's scared ass actually got a damn sparrow, itsuki ended up getting a normal crow as well.

in the show he always found these birds to be very interesting.

the black and white haired twins went over the functions of the crows, but nothing ever went smoothly, a youth with a spiky black mohawk smacked his crow in rage before roaring.

"F*CK, i dont care about some dumb crow" he rushed up towards the two twins, ready to punch them in the face.

itsuki enjoyed the scene, after a few hits to the white haired person tanjiro stepped in and ended up breaking the mohawk boys hand in anger.

itsuki clicked his tongue, these two twins looked actually dangerous not gon lie, but he wasnt expecting them to not do anything at all, in anime's itsuki knew never to underestimate anything or anyone no matter the size.

"and her" itsuki gazed at the little girl who was playing with a butterfly completely ignoring everyone around her with a nearly demonic smile, her eyes didnt make it any better.

itsuki and tanjiro chose an ore before leaving on their way, itsuki didnt say anything about what happened, but tanjiro seemed to still be heated about it, it was funny looking at his face, he probably wouldve beaten up the little boy.
